As soon as William finished his meal, he grabbed a glass of wine from the table and walked over to Stella. After taking a sip, he set the glass down and sat across from her.
"Yesterday, I was out in the woods looking for my missing pack when I stumbled upon you in that car, all tied up," William explained, his tone serious. "I need to know, who were those people, and what were you doing with them?"
Stella glanced down, gathering her thoughts before she spoke. "They captured me. They attacked our house yesterday," she revealed, tears streaming down her face. "They killed my father and took his body away and they tried to kill me too."
William's expression softened as he reached for a tissue and gently wiped away Stella's tears. "Do you have any idea why they did such a thing to target you?" he asked, his voice gentle.
