Chapter 14 - Labyrinth 2

The minotaur inhaled the poisonous gas, yet it was entirely unphased.

No, in fact, the gas stimulated the monster even more, enraging it and causing it to act even more wildly than before.

It stood at a height of 20 feet with a massive wide frame covered in brown bull skin.

In one hand, it held a massive war axe.

I felt a little better after drinking the health potions I had earlier, but I was still not fully healed up.

The Zodiac guy was troublesome, he was not a fun opponent for someone like me, who was used to fighting at close quarters.

But regardless of that, he was currently getting battered around the hallway by the minotaur.

Since his main form of attack was useless, he had to fight with his own physical strength.

Even if he was overlevelled and had a high strength stat, it was no match for the minotaur.

Considering I had already shattered his arm, it did not take long for the minotaur to kill him.

He was bashed into a wall and fell to the floor.

The poison had now begun to dissipate.

I felt slightly light headed, and my body was in considerable pain, but it was bearable enough.

I would heal up after landing a few good attacks on the minotaur.

The minotaur heard my footsteps rapidly approaching, and turned around to charge at me.

Its massive bull horns were not to be taken likely.

Stomp!

Stomp!

Stomp!

Its massive hooves left marks in the stone floor.

Once we had reached each other, about to collide, I used my new ability.

"Dragon Dive, 2nd Form"

Mana collected around my back and feet, forming a pair of wings on my back.

I leaped into the air whilst the minotaur slowed down in confusion.

Crack!

Like thunder, I dropped from the air right onto the minotaur's head.

The minotaur was temporarily stunned, and its head was bleeding.

Without hesitation, I grabbed onto its horns, stabilizing myself, and proceeded to gauge out it's left eye.

The beast roared in pain and grabbed me off its head, throwing me to the side.

My back slammed against the stone wall, and I grunted in pain.

The minotaur roared once more in pain, covering the gauged eye with one hand.

It became even more enraged and charged at me, ready to slash at me with its giant axe.

The minotaur's slash was a predictable move as it was blinded by rage.

I slid underneath it.

"Dragon Crush!"

I shot into the minotaur's stomach, but had to bounce back as I was unable to tear through.

The minotaur stumbled around in pain, clutching its stomach in pain, several organs must have been damaged.

It spat out blood, and refocused on me.

The massive damage I had dealt caused my life steal to activate, allowing me to regenerate significantly.

Its physical strength had decreased to a point I could clash back against it, as we exchanged several blows.

My skin was torn and I was ragdolled around several times, yet I ceaselessly landed blows on the damaged stomach of the minotaur.

Dragons wrapped around my arms, flowing into the minotaur, searing its chest and cooking its organs.

"Accelerate!"

My speed doubled as the minotaur charged at me intending to impale me on its horns.

I ran up a wall, possible with my increased speed, and reached the ceiling of the labyrinth.

"Dragon Dive: Form 1"

My body was electrified as I dropped to the ground, causing a massive explosion in front of the minotaur.

It was blown back onto the floor, landing with a great thud.

The brown skin had turned black from the heat of my endless barrages.

I leaped onto the fallen minotaur, not hesitating to gauge its second eye.

For the second time, I jumped into the air and looked down.

"Dragon Crush!"

I burst into the minotaur's stomach, killing it instantly.

I panted with exhaustion, covered in monster blood.

Climbing out the stomach of the minotaur, I checked several messages.

[Several Gods are watching in awe!]

[Society: Beast is upset with you.]

I kept receiving messages like these for practically whatever I did, and it grew annoying quickly.

[Hidden Objective Complete]

Level Up!

Level Up!

Level Up!

Level Up!

[Reward Received]

Minotaur Boots - Epic

Increases strength and endurance by +10. Grants exclusive skill [Quake].

Quake - Stomp the ground beneath you and cause a small earthquake, causing opponents to be disorientated and depending on the terrain, lose their footing.

I was pleasantly surprised by the extra reward I received.

The stat bonus was decent, and the skill seemed useful.

I invested the stat points I had gained, checking my level again.

[Status]

Dragon Fist

Level 52

I felt my mana pool, an invisible energy collected al throughout the body, grow larger.

A sense of satisfaction washed over me, interrupted by a strange groan from the side.

"Oh, it's this guy? I thought you were dead."

The annoying bastard from earlier

He was severely injured, and I was ready to kill him.

But before I was about to crush his skull, he started speaking quickly, completely abandoning the creepy tone he had spoke with earlier.

"W-w-wait! Wait! I'm actually in contact with players past the tenth floor! If you kill me now you'll be their enemy!"

I was slightly confused by his statement, and my foot froze in the air.

What use would higher level players have with him.

"Explain."

"I-I'm actually a part of the cult of Malphas, that's how I got my poison sigil! I have contacts with his apostle! If you mess with me now.. yeah.. they'll get revenge!"

He didn't seem to be telling a lie, and that would explain how he had managed to get a sigil without clearing further floors.

Malphas was a demon specializing in poison, so it made sense for a poisoner to be affiliated with him.

"...Honestly, I don't like leaving loose ends. Anyway, I'm sure you've killed many people to get this strong without even clearing the fourth floor."

"Wait stop, p-"

Splat!

[Malphas of Society: Ars Goetia, looks down at you with anger.]

"You'll get over it, I'm sure."

I flicked the blood and... other things... off my boots and began making my way to the exit of the labyrinth.

Sadly, completing the hidden objective would not immediately count as clearing the fourth floor.
