"Listen, I think we need to take a break," said Steven and then Riyal also agreed
The sun appears in the Alpine Kingdom only once a month or so, and on those occasions it is usually overcast and the temperature is around average.
"It has been a month since we saw the sun, right?" Amon inquired as he turned to face up. Riyal nodded in agreement, and they sat on the grass on the left side of the old road that they were walking on.
"You realize that we do not live in some other kingdom where everyone gets to see the sun and breathe in sunlight every day—we live in the Alpine kingdom." Steven replied.
"However, are you not eager to see the sun and feel its warmth?" Amon asked.
In response, Steven said, "Yeah, I also enjoy heat and sunshine."
Upon reflection, I realized that you never expressed to me your plans for the time after you turned fifteen. Amon asked. [After turning 15 years old, the children who lived in orphanages had to leave and start there own lives.]
"Yes, you did not tell me what you planned to do in the future either." Riyal also posed the same question.
"I never told you because I did not think about my future either, but now that I do, let me tell you both that I am going to start my own business in the South Kingdom." Steven said [South kingdom is not the name of any kingdom.]
"Oh, you mean a kingdom in the southern region?" Amos Said.
Steven replied, "Yes, and you can guess why."
"Because you hate winter, right?" Riyal retorted.
"Whoa, I had no idea someone like you could use a brain." Amon said that at the same moment as Steven.
Then Riyal said, "Well, just shut up. The break is over. Let's go."
They both nodded and began walking down the old road that connects the village to the kingdom, passing the church in between.
And then, ten minutes later, they found themselves at the Plamy village entrance.
"Now that we are all at the Plamy village entrance, we need to go to the right side of the village, where the village mayor lives," Steven then stated.
After that, they all began to move in the direction of the mayor's home.
And after walking toward the mayor's house for a minute, they came upon enormous trees with apples hanging from them.
"These apples looks so juicy," Riyal said while standing in front of the apple tree.
"Yeah, they look very delicious, but we can't eat these apples, you know that, right?" Amon said.
"Yes, I am aware that the mayor only gives out apples that have fallen to the ground naturally or as a result of the wind. This is because he views his trees as his family and does not want anyone to damage them."
"All we are doing is taking the apples from here and bringing them to the church; all you have to do is control your hunger." Steven said.
And then Amon said, "But that does not mean that we can't eat them while delivering them, right?"
And Riyal nodded with big smile on his face.
Steven then said, "I believe you are correct, and I doubt he counts the apples while packing them."
And they were talking while walking between the apple trees.
And after some minutes, they saw an old house, which was like only one room and a toilet-type house, and which was made with wood.
Amon then had this thought in his head, "This mayor sure loves his forest, because he built a house out of dead tree corpses instead of an alive tree."
And the reason he believed that was because a typical rainstorm could easily destroy a house made of a dead tree, which has no life left in it.
The group then gathered at the doors, ready to knock on his. However, Riyal noticed the wooden basket to the right of the group and informed them of its contents. One of the baskets had a letter resting on it.
Steven then took the letter and read it, saying, "It states that his is not here," after reading it. These three baskets belong to the church, he explained, adding, "Do not open them and take them without harming them. I had some important work that I could not avoid."
"He truly has an obsession with his apple." After Steven said that, all three of them burst out laughing. "It does not matter what he wants; all that matters is that if we want to open the box and eat or not, it is up to us." Amon remarked.
He then turned to face Riyal because, as Amon was aware, Steven is the type of person who, when told he is not allowed to do something, does nothing because he dislikes receiving criticism from others.
But Steven believes in the majority, which is why Amon looks to Riyal to agree with him.
"Yeah, and how is he going to find that we opened the box, right, Steven?" Riyal asked. with crying and begging expressions.
"I think you are right, but let us take these baskets and walk to the church before anyone else shows up. Then, once we find a better place to sit, we will eat two apples apiece, so you are both on board with my plan." Steven stated
After both of them accepted his plan, they set off on foot. When they eventually came to a stop and took a seat under the tree, Riyal remarked, "So can we eat the apples now?"
The nun may become suspicious of us if we eat more than two apples, so keep that in mind when you remember that." Steven said
They both nodded before beginning to eat their first apple. Amon opened the lid because he was hungry after seeing their happy expressions after they had taken their first bite. And he was standing there, staring in the basket, shocked to see him like that. Steven uttered, "How come? Did you witness any ghosts?
When Amon said nothing happened, Steven said, "Then eat up; we do not have much time to waste here, so eat up quickly." and after saying that, Steven reached into his basket to select his second apple. However, as soon as he realized what Steven was doing, he turned to face his basket again and said, "I believe I now understand why he told me not to open the baskets." He then took the two apples and placed them in his pants pocket. Amon noticed Riyal eating the apples while Steven was searching through baskets. and he was aware that Riyal would become indifferent to his surroundings once he began eating, so he took advantage of this and fled into the forest.
