Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

I woke up only to be welcomed by darkness and an inconceivable stench of pungently sweet rotting corpses.

'It seems I have finally woken up' rang a voice in my head loud and clear almost deafening, like a loud horn blaring in the middle of nothingness.

My vision was blurred, as I tried to wake myself up from the tattered bed filled with human faeces. My faeces.

I sat up and tried to take control of my body when I looked down at my hands covered in now dry blood.

'I did it at last, I have finally done it'

I closed my eyes as I got out of bed, my feet came in contact with the mouldy and dusty old planks, I opened my eyes, as I walked to the window.

I opened the blinds letting in sunlight revealing a horrendous scene, three corpses lay inside the small room with their organs out and rotting, intestines hung from the ceiling fan which spun ever so slowly.

I took a deep breath in as I slowly made my way to a wooden door covered in blood splatter and a bloody handprint.

I clasped the knob as I slowly opened the door, and right after a shattered mirror came into my view, the broken pieces lay on the floor. I walked through the shattered pieces which tore my flesh and let out a puddle of blood.

Standing facing the mirror that once was I could not help but think about the life I once had.

I looked at what remained of the mirror, I could see multiple eyes with large dark circles filled with dread and emptiness staring back at me.

I took a deep breath in as I looked down at the sink only to find a decapitated head staring right back at me with its eyes screaming in fear.

'I hope your death was painful Mother' spoke a devilish voice inside me as I walked to a wooden table smothered in blood.

There on that table was a book, though old contained my best memories, I couldn't help but give a cold sneer.

But I could not tell who I was sneering at. Was it me or someone else?

I wiped my hands on the slashed baggy black pants I was wearing, as I reached out to pick up the book to read it one last time.

I walked back to my bed and sat down on it as it creaked, I crossed my legs opened the book and started reading it one last time.

Time flew, and right as I was nearing the end of the book I could hear gunshots outside.

I panicked, the first real emotion I had had in a while if you ask me.

I was scared that I would not be able to finish the book, as I hurriedly went through the last remaining page, the door to my room broke down and there outside that door was a man in a police uniform pointing a gun at me.

He furrowed his eyebrows and squinted his eyes as he surveilled the surroundings, I could see he was taken aback, and the horror in his face.

I couldn't help but feel excited by it. That look of fear gave me pleasure. I wanted to see him scream crawl and beg as I tortured him, Beg me to end his life, give out harrowingly desperate screams and see the hope in his eyes slowly die out.

But finishing the book was of more importance to me than that.

As I continued to read, I heard him scream something, it was of not much importance so I gave it no thought.

Then at last the time came when I read "The End", the sense of happiness filled me, as if I had broken free from a cage that had imprisoned me all along. I slowly got up and dropped the book to the floor.

I couldn't help but smile, it was time for this evil to die, the evil within me and put an end to all the suffering.

I rushed in on the police officer only to be shot in the head right away.

A stinging pain hit me as the ceiling with the spinning intestines came into my view, and then everything went instantly dark.
