Chapter 16 - A powerful energy. Part 2/2.

Time continued its flow and the day progressed. The rain turned into a fine drizzle and Edart, who was focused on the stream, did not notice these changes.

Edart did not know how many attempts he made, but they all resulted in failure. He was already getting tired, and his ideas were running out. There was one thing he had not tried, which was using his mana, fortunately Eris was there to remind him of this.

— ["I believe that if you controlled your mana and used it to control the mana in the water, you could have the result you desire."]

— "Ah, right, there is that. I had forgotten. Thank you, Eris."

Leaving the stream aside, he turned his focus to himself. Closing his eyes to concentrate on his body, darkness took over him. He did not know what to look for, nor what exactly it was that he was looking for.

— "Where should I start?" he asked himself in his mind.

Shifting his focus and feeling his body well, he observed his entire body. Whenever he focused on a certain part of his body, that region's senses heightened. His arms and legs were nothing special, and he quickly changed his focus.

— "Maybe here."

When he focused on his chest, at first he didn't see or feel anything different. He didn't know how, but he had the feeling that there was something there. Reducing the region he was focusing on to the center of his chest, he expected to see something different.

At first, nothing was out of place, but he persisted. After a few seconds, a light shone for a moment and disappeared.

—"That's it." He exclaimed loudly. Eris simply ignored him, not wanting to disturb his discovery process, she remained silent, focusing her attention on the forest and the plain around her.

Seeing this, Edart became excited, another minute passed, and he saw nothing, but now he was sure that there was something there.

He calmed down and focused again, the seconds passed, and he tried to search. A few more seconds passed, then a new flash appeared, not letting it escape, he focused all his attention on that point. Soon, more and more points of light appeared.

—"I found you, now you can't escape me." Edart thought happily to see some result.

Finally, after much focus and persistence, a cloud of dust that constantly changed color appeared before him, it extended throughout his body, but was more concentrated in his chest.

From this cloud, he could feel the pure energy that he associated with electrical energy, like a cloud of plasma, it was an energy that could be molded to create, it was just waiting for instructions.

After contemplating this energy that was his mana, Edart took his focus off his body, waited a bit and focused again. This time, finding this cloud was much easier than before. He repeated this several times until it became natural.

— "Let's see if this will work."

With that mastered, he turned his focus back to the stream, extending his incorporeal hand to the stream, he felt the elemental mana of the water running through his fingers. Keeping his hand there, he divided his focus with great effort and felt the mana within himself.

He ordered his mana to go to his hand in the stream. It wasn't easy, but he slowly began to follow his instructions, and soon his incorporeal hand was filled with his mana.

Edart saw, with 'Mana Perception', his colored mana forming a hand in the stream, and he admired it for a while. It was a strange sensation to feel a third hand, but he quickly got used to it.

Having gotten used to everything, he tried again for the elemental mana, which was very successful, but the amount was too little. Using his will, he passed an intention to his mana that was in the stream. This intention was to hold the elemental mana that was passing by.

In that same instant, his mana that was inert, came to life. Following his intention, it spread out in a circle 25 centimeters in diameter and held all the elemental mana that entered its perimeter.

—"It works! Hehehe!" he exclaimed happily.

Edart, who was watching all this, saw that above the stream, a circle had formed. Within this circle, the water was calm and still, resembling a lake without any ripples.

Around this circle, the water of the stream was rushing fiercely with great force, forming waves and foam. Of course, the stream was not very large, so it was not dangerous.

Turning his attention, Edart felt as if this circle was part of him and everything within it was under his control to do whatever he wanted with it.

—"Can I create something from this?" With this question in his mind, he began to act.

Wasting no time, he tried to create a cone, 10 centimeters high, exactly in the center of the lake. Slowly, the water that was calm began to tremble and gathered in the center of the circle.

Moments later, a trembling cone was formed. Edart had to increase his focus and concentration on this and found it to be a more difficult task.

His mana was drained and sent to the water as he made the modifications. When the cone was perfectly formed, the consumption decreased greatly, but there was still some.

Edart felt and saw the mana flowing out of him. Wondering if his mana had been consumed, he looked at his status.

— ["Edart, Mana: 17/23."]

In this game, a quarter of his mana had been consumed, but that didn't matter to him. All that mattered was that he could change the environment around him, which made him very happy and excited.

The mana consumption was high to make this cone, but that didn't discourage him, he just had to get stronger and this would be solved.

Edart played with the water a little more, creating different shapes. In the end, he made a sphere and tried to make it float in the air. As he tried to do this, the consumption doubled, and he felt as if a stream of hot water was coming out of him towards the ball of water.

The sphere floated and rose 30 centimeters above the turbulent stream. At that moment, a ray of sunlight fell on the sphere of water, which caused it to shine with several colors.

— "Wonderful." He said in a whisper.

Edart stood admiring the sight for a few seconds, when he felt that he was at the limit of his mana. Unable to support the sphere any longer, it fell back into the stream as if it had never existed.

Turning his attention back to the world around him, he felt the warmth of the Sun, the rain had stopped, and only a few clouds remained in the sky. The Sun was already low on the horizon, with only a few hours of sunlight remaining.

Realizing this, Edart finally saw that he had spent hours training, which for him were moments, he could not explain it and had no desire to do so. At that moment, the tiredness of the day fell upon him, and all he wanted to do was rest.

Feeling the warmth of the Sun on his body, Edart began to think about what to do in the future, when, at that moment, Eris showed some notifications that had appeared while he was training.

A half-smile formed on his face and a thought came to his mind.

'The future will be interesting.'
