Chapter 42 - [42] Excessive

One Week Later

It had been a week since Ash was warmly welcomed by the people of Broze. During this time, Ash demonstrated his abilities by teaching modern agricultural techniques that significantly improved their crop yields. Although the kingdom's territory was small, its geographical advantages, given its natural fortifications from the Dragon's Mountains, were impressive. However, their land management was inefficient, which was understandable considering the region's reputation for constant warfare.

To address these issues, Ash assisted the king in preparing for the impending war to conquer four other kingdoms. He also conversed with the king about the importance of strengthening food production rather than focusing solely on the military, given that the fertile land would be wasted if not utilised.

Through hard work, Ash managed to unite the four small kingdoms into a single region with a centralised power system, centred around King Broze, with Ash serving as an interim advisor.

Six Months Later

Currently, Chief Roland stood before Ash with a face full of gratitude. "Say whatever you wish, Mr Ash. I cannot thank you enough for all the goodness you have shown us."

Ash sighed deeply as he gazed at the vast expanse of farmland. Thanks to his intervention in implementing agricultural, livestock, trade, and social management techniques, the results were highly satisfying. The fields, once barren, were now lush with abundant crops, while the population of the kingdom had increased due to the merging of other tribes interested in the plentiful water sources. The strategic location also allowed for the construction of artificial canals that facilitated water distribution.

Ash looked at the dramatically transformed scenery with pride. "No, Roland, I am only asking one thing from all that you have given me. May I establish a church here?"

Roland looked at Ash with interest. "Ah, you mean the religion you are spreading? Of course, I support you. After all, there are many valuable things I can learn from the teachings of the religion you bring."

With Roland's permission, Ash began constructing a church in the heart of the village. The church not only became a spiritual centre for the Broze kingdom but also served as a hub for education and culture. Ash gently and understandingly taught the principles of his religion, guiding the villagers in understanding the values being taught.

The church, built with simple yet elegant architecture, soon became a symbol of change and new hope for the people in the region. The residents flocked to the church, not only for worship but also to learn about the new techniques implemented in their daily lives.

Over time, the positive impact of the church and Ash's contributions became evident. The quality of life for the community improved, inter-tribal relationships grew more harmonious, and the knowledge gained from Ash brought significant progress.

...

With the quality of life continually improving in the new region, Ash wasted no time. Through long-distance telepathy, he contacted his clones in the Asura Kingdom's capital, Ars, to request that they establish a main base in the newly named Dragon's Red, Brintania Raya. Ash felt this name was more fitting than the previous term "disputed territory."

This region, located between the Red Dragon Mountains, had undergone significant changes. With the help and support from Ash and his team, the once dry and inhospitable land had transformed into a thriving agricultural and trade hub. The abundant water supply, thanks to the wells built and the artificial canals connecting water sources, dramatically changed the face of the area. The population also increased rapidly, and several other tribes joined due to the newfound prosperity.

Ash, now known as the pioneer of progress in the area, successfully established a new country named Britania Union. With Costatine Group as the main force building infrastructure and managing resources, Ash was confident that Britania Union would grow into a significant power in the future.

Recently, Ash discovered something very valuable while exploring the area around the Red Dragon Mountains. Near the region, there was a rich deposit of gemstones. This discovery provided Ash with an additional reason to ask Raphael, his clone now leading Costatine Group, to establish their main base in the former Broze kingdom, which had been renamed Britania Union, as their influence continued to expand.

Before continuing his journey, Ash decided to finalise some last matters in Britania Union. He wanted to ensure everything was running smoothly, including giving final support for the church construction that had become a symbol of his teachings in the region. This carefully designed church would serve as a centre for spiritual and social activities for the people of Britania Union and as a symbol of the changes and progress that had occurred.

Roland, the king of the small kingdom formerly known as Broze, now titled Roland Reinhart Dragonia, also needed Ash's assistance in strengthening his image as a wise and honourable leader. Ash helped Roland learn the etiquette and various aspects of leadership, bridging the gap between old traditions and modern demands.

With the new religion and the country under construction, Ash also faced the challenge of preparing Britania Union for the future. Although the developments in the region were not yet widely known and only rumours existed outside, Ash did not want to ignore potential threats from outside. Therefore, he asked Roland to begin preparing a suitable military force. This included building an army and strengthening defences as a precaution against possible invasions or threats from other kingdoms that might feel threatened by Britania Union's rapid progress.

With his well-thought-out vision and plans, Ash left Britania Union with confidence that the region would grow rapidly and become an important power in the world. Meanwhile, he continued his journey, ready to face new adventures and challenges in the next kingdom, Shirone.

---

[Unexpected, isn't it? You who initially just intended to explore the world ended up inadvertently founding a country in such a region.]

Ciel commented with a cold and mechanical tone, his voice flowing through telepathy to Ash as he rode his old horse towards the Shirone Kingdom. Ciel, who always had a way of expressing his opinions with sharp clarity, seemed slightly surprised but not entirely shocked by Ash's achievement.

"Heh, it wasn't intentional, alright? I just meant to be kind and teach them a few things," Ash replied, trying to sound not too burdened by the situation.

[But why did it end up creating a country?]

'Ugh~' Ash sighed deeply, feeling a bit frustrated with Ciel's sharp comments. "You know, things like this tend to happen when I try to help. Sometimes, the results exceed what I planned."

With his horse moving at a steady pace, Ash continued his journey through varied landscapes, from vast grasslands to towering mountains in the distance. The natural beauty around him felt in stark contrast to the significant changes that had recently taken place in Britania Union.

[Indeed, I have been observing humans for a very long time. Many things exceed my expectations. Yes, I also considered that the country would be alright because the centre of everything is you and the Bilbe religion.]

Ciel conveyed his thoughts through telepathy with a reflective tone. His cold voice remained unchanged, but this time, there was an element of admiration that could not be hidden. Despite Ciel's often critical nature, he could not conceal his respect for Ash's achievement that surpassed expectations.

[But for the future, I hope you can exercise restraint, understand?]

Ciel's tone was firm and commanding, as if admonishing Ash with caution. Ash felt a tinge of guilt within him upon hearing Ciel's threatening tone.

Sighing deeply, Ash gazed firmly ahead. "Yes, yes, I understand. I won't create a new country every time I step somewhere. It's quite stressful if every time I move, a new country ends up forming beneath my feet."

He looked towards the horizon, contemplating the long journey and the challenges awaiting in the Shirone Kingdom.
