Chapter 43 - Janglang Dragon

' Time seemed to slow down. I felt as if my legs were going in slow motion. What was happening? '

[A skill is being used against you. It makes everyone within a 20 kilometers radius move slower by x-10 speed.]

' Shit, we were being slowed down by some kind of speed reduction?! Deb is there any way I can break it?'

[No, you don't have a skill yet that can counter act the one being used on you. The only thing you can do is put more points into speed and hope that helps.]

Debs voice was matter of fact though it also sounded like she held a hint of worry in her voice.

' Thanks for the information Deb, though even if I put all my points into speed it wouldn't help the others who are also caught up in this skill.'

"I feel as if my legs are running through quicksand! What is going on?!" Mimi called out to us over her shoulder.

Raji and Layla also looked over their shoulders trying to see what was causing them to feel as if their legs were being grabbed and made to slow down their speed.

' We weren't going to make it at this speed. We were running full throttle and yet we were going practically no where. All we were doing was wasting energy.'

"Stop running it's pointless!" I yelled and halted turning around to face the monster that was coming ever slowly towards us.

Mim, Raji, and Layla stopped and turned around and came up beside me. Their fur bristling as they felt the earth shaking beneath their paws.

'Shadow you may want to get everyone here quickly. We can't run the creature is using a skill that makes doing so impossible. So far we are okay but we had to stop running to conserve energy.' I said through the mind link as my own fur bristles on end facing the incoming monster.

" We are coming little mate hang in there." Shadows worried voice came through the link.

'I knew they were coming they had been in their way as soon as I had said we can't run. It would still take them around ten minutes to get to where we are. My gut instinct was showing me again and again what was about to happen. Where the creature was going to attack me specifically and what would happen after. Why can't I see the creature? It's like it's in visible or something ~'

My thoughts stopped there because if front of us the trees began to shake and bend out of the way, making a path for something that was coming through. Except I didn't see anything! I could feel the preasure it was exuding now, and it was horrible it made me almost puke on the spot. The others weren't so lucky. They emptied their bellies of what they had inside of them and nearly bowed down from the force alone.

I could feel the force but for some reason it didn't make me bow. I stood firm and looked at where the invisible creature was coming from. I could almost feel as if it was looking back unto my eyes.

[Thats because it is. I think your the first being to not bow in front of its terrifying force.]

'Well at least we know what we are working with now, though the only thing I can see clearly is it's speed and skills. So it's a Dragon huh, too bad I can't see what it looks like at the moment.'

[Is that really what your going to focus on now?]

Debs question took me off guard. 'You know if we survive this you and I are going to have a conversation. ' I told her as I relayed the information to Shadow about the creature we were up against.

His surprise and frustrated emotion was the only response I got as I felt the tension he was feeling.

As for myself I couldn't figure out how I was feeling, this was going to be a major life or death battle and all I was getting from my gut instinct was a replay of what would happen as if it were telling me something more important than how I was going to die.

'Wait, it was telling me something but what?'
