"Mom,Dad, I'm home" Eli said. "Honey,your dad isn't home right now,I'll be with you in a minute" said a voice coming from the kitchen. Alex mumbling to himself "hmm,that must be his mom",guess he was right. In a few minute,a middle-aged woman in her late thirties to be precise with a big belly came out from a door leading to the kitchen,with a smile on her face "hey, honey..." She paused for a second,while looking at Alex " oummm.... Eli,you didn't tell me we were having a guest" she said,while still looking at Alex.
Meanwhile,Alex lost in thoughts,"hmm, Eli's mom must be pregnant,but wait a minute Eli is 17,Eli is gonna have a kid baby,how nice,this family is nice itself not like my family " still in his thoughts. "Oh,mom,this is my friend Alex, Alex...oumm..." Eli said to his mom. "Gosh,I forgot to ask for his last name" he said to himself, "hey, Alex, what's your last name?" He asked,he suddenly noticed Alex not replying with some sort of a blue like face, he called out "Alex,Alex", One thing they had no idea of was Alex was already a mile far away from them, suddenly a sweet but calm voice said "Alex",in a flash he came out of his thoughts and replied "yes,ma" oh it's Eli's mom, "what's wrong honey" Alex mom said,Alex lost in thoughts again,but this time he was shocked, first time someone would call him honey, actually from a mother,his mother has not ever called him Honey not even call his little sister honey,yes he has a sister,he suddenly remembered the question Eli's mom asked, "oh, nothing is wrong ma, I'm perfectly fine" Alex said, "what a relief" Eli said,his expression really showed he was relieved.
"Eli I need to get going now,my sister should be home already" Alex said, " you have a sister?" Eli asked with some sort of confused face, "oummm...yes,sor...." Alex was cut off by Eli,"let's go,so I can meet her" Eli said with a smile on his face.
"Aren't you mad at me?" Alex asked, "oh,no,not really" Eli said.
"Mom Alex is going home already and I wanna escort him" Eli shouted ( he's mom is in the kitchen already)
"Okay,can you give me a second,am coming" Eli's mom replied,in a second she came with a covered plastic transparent container,it could be seen clearly that lots of yummy cookies are inside the container,"Alex,you can have this" Eli's mom handed it over to him with a smile, "thanks, Mrs...oumm, thanks ma" Alex said with the container in hand, "it's Mrs Tanner" Eli's mom said with a smile," thanks Mrs Tanner" alex said, "you're welcome honey" Mrs Tanner said.
Alex coming out from his room in a new shirt and trousers, "mom,I'll be back in a flash" Eli said, "Bye, Mrs Tanner" Alex said, "Bye, honey"....

Alex and Eli walking down the road back to Alex's house, "hey,I forgot to ask what your last name is?" Eli asked, Alex while scratching his head "oh, it's,Cronner,Alex Cronner"he said, "wow,what a nice last name,hmm...can you tell me about Mr and Mrs Cronner?" Eli asked with a smile on his face..
Alex in thoughts again, "should I tell him or not",after thinking for a while,"I think I'll tell him about my father and not my mother". "Ohh,my parents,oumm.... actually my dad is dead,he died a few days before giving birth to my little sister" Alex said,it seems he's missing his father," so sad, I'm sorry to hear that" Eli said," it's fine" said Alex with a faint smile.
Eli not knowing what to do suddenly kept quiet thinking about how to cheer Alex up, almost getting to Alex's house he saw a girl , sitting at the stair way of a bungalow house seems she's waiting for someone, "This must be Alex's sister" he mumbled to himself, "Eli, that's my little sister" Alex said pointing at the little girl in front of his house, "wow" Eli said..
Alex's sister suddenly looked up and saw two guys coming towards her "oh,it's my brother and who is the other dude?" She mumbled to herself,she didn't have the time to question her thoughts about who the guy was,all that was in her mind was finally Alex is here,"brother I've been waiting for you since,why are you just coming ?" she asked with her eyes focused on Alex,"Sorry,i was with my friend here Eli...oummm,Eli this is my sister Luna" Alex said while looking at Luna, Eli lost in his own thoughts"damn, she's cute and pretty and looks like Alex's twin, looking at her age she must be 15 or 16" "Hi,am Eli" he said while stretching his hand out for a friendly handshake.
Luna stood looking at Eli's stretched out hand with some kind of deadly stare,she looked at Eli's hand then looked at Alex then looked at Eli until she finally left and went back to the entrance of the house,"won't you open the door" she said while looking at Alex.
"Sorry, she doesn't actually talk to people only those she's comfortable with"Alex said into Eli's ear, "ohh,I understand" Eli said, "that explains why I met Alex drawing all by his own, I'm just lucky he's comfortable with me,i hope his sister will too"Eli mumbled again.
