Chapter 3 - Escape Plan

(Back to the present day)

"Damn, you are one ugly person. I feel sorry for your mother for having you," I told the short, childlike figure, although it was more of a chaos lord than anything else.

Klarion the Witch Boy had pale skin, spiky black hair, and dark gothic clothing, including a red scarf and a blue bell-shaped hat. He was always accompanied by his familiar, a small brown cat with black stripes named Teekl.

"Oh, insults already? How adorable. My appearance is part of my charm, you see. As for my dear mother, she embraces chaos just like I do. But enough banter. I'm not the one in the tube, am I?"

Klarion said to the striking figure, blending strength and agility in their muscular yet lean build. They stood tall with a commanding presence, their face defined by high cheekbones, a strong jawline, and deep brown eyes that conveyed both determination and empathy.

So what do you want

You and the other 2 never talk to me, and you never interact so what is it that you want

We're here to inform you that your genetic information has stabilized and in a few days we will be leaving here to go meet the League of Assassins. Finally, after 5 years of work you get to serve your purpose and remove those pesks from the justice league for us, said the mad doctor.

After saying that three left

It seems it is time to escape I said to Zara in my mind.

Yes, it is but how do we escape fully? You said one of those guys was a lord of chaos and they are one of the most powerful beings in the world. How are we going to get past them?

If it was just the witch boy the chances of us escaping would have been high because everything to him is a joke and I also know spells that could probably harm him if not probably distract him. But since Felix Faust is here two the chance decreases a lot.

But I remember you saying Felix Faust is not that powerful,

He's not but he has lived for many hundred years he is probably very versed in many spells that could get very anything to deal with and remember he is fueled with the powers of 3 brother demon so even if he is not that powerful combined with the demon he would be a challenge even for me.

Can you contact the Justice League with astral projection?

We have a few days so I could probably find somebody from the Justice League since we are under Gotham I might find Batman himself.

Ok, you should try it and if we can't find the justice league we will just have to escape ourselves.

Astro projecting out of my body I decided to cast a non-detection spell on my Astro form just in case the witch boy could sense Astro's body.

Narrator: The ghost-like being drifted silently through the darkened alleyways of Gotham City, its ethereal form barely perceptible to the naked eye. It moved with a fluid grace, weaving through the shadows and passing unnoticed by the city's inhabitants. The air around it grew colder as it passed, a chill that lingered long after it had gone.

Entering the sewers, the being seemed to merge with the darkness, its form becoming even more indistinct. It navigated the labyrinthine tunnels with ease, guided by an ancient, unerring sense of direction. The foul stench of the sewers did not deter it; the being seemed unaffected by the physical world, focused solely on its mission.

As it moved deeper into the subterranean depths, the being passed through walls and obstacles as if they were mere illusions. Rats and other creatures scattered in its wake, sensing the unnatural presence. The echo of dripping water and the distant hum of machinery were the only sounds that broke the oppressive silence.

Reaching a fork in the tunnel, the being paused, its form flickering slightly as it scanned the area. It chose the path to the right, moving with renewed purpose. The air grew colder still, and a faint, almost imperceptible hum filled the space. The being was drawing closer to its goal.

Finally, it arrived at a section of the sewer that seemed no different from the rest, but the being knew better. It phased through the wall, entering a hidden passageway that led to an even deeper, more secret part of the underground network. The path was narrower here, the walls lined with sophisticated sensors and security measures designed to deter intruders. But these posed no obstacle to the ghostly intruder.

The being moved through a final barrier, emerging into a vast cavern illuminated by the glow of advanced technology and the faint blue light of the Batcomputer. The Batcave spread out before it, a secret sanctuary filled with gadgets, vehicles, and the echoes of countless battles fought in the name of justice.

The ghost-like being hovered in the center of the cavern, its presence causing the air to shimmer and the temperature to drop. It scanned the Batcave, its otherworldly senses taking in every detail. It was here for a reason, driven by an unseen force to find something or someone. The shadows seemed to deepen as it waited, an uninvited guest in the heart of Gotham's greatest secret.

After finding the bat cave I decided to reveal myself so even normal people could see me and I waited.

The Batcave is silent, save for the faint hum of the Batcomputer. In the darkness, Batman stands vigilant, his eyes narrowing as he senses the chilling presence of the ghost-like being. He steps forward, his voice a low, gravelly whisper that cuts through the silence like a blade.

"Who are you, and what are you doing in my cave?"

The being remains silent, its form flickering slightly as it regards the Dark Knight. Batman's expression hardens, his jaw set with determination.

"I don't know what you are, but you've made a mistake coming here."

He reaches for a small device on his utility belt, activating a series of scanners and sensors to analyze the intruder. The Batcomputer whirs to life, its screens displaying streams of data and complex algorithms as it tries to make sense of the ghostly presence.

I need your help

Batman remains vigilant, his eyes narrowing slightly as he studies the ghost-like being. His voice is still low and gravelly, but there's a hint of curiosity beneath the stern exterior.

"Help? You come here, uninvited, and expect me to trust you? You'll have to do better than that."

He steps closer, the cold air swirling around him, but he remains undeterred. His presence is imposing, his every movement calculated and precise.

"State your purpose clearly. What do you need my help with?"

The Batcomputer continues to hum, its screens casting a faint blue glow that illuminates the cavern. Batman's gaze remains fixed on the being, ready for any sudden movements.

Batman's eyes narrow further, processing the information rapidly. His demeanor remains stoic and intense, his voice steady and authoritative.

"A lab under Gotham's busy side of town..."

He steps toward the Batcomputer, fingers flying over the keyboard as he accesses the city's subterranean maps and recent activity logs.

"Who is this woman? What's the nature of the lab? Are you in immediate danger?"

His eyes flicker to the ghost-like being, assessing its reactions while the computer churns through data. Batman's mind is a whirlwind of calculations, already formulating a plan to extract the trapped individuals.

Batman's eyes widen slightly at the mention of Zara Blackwood and the nature of the lab. He quickly composes himself, his expression becoming even more resolute.

"Cloning and alien technology. This is serious."

He brings up more detailed schematics of Gotham's underground, focusing on areas with known laboratories and secret facilities.

"Zara Blackwood... She's known for uncovering dangerous secrets but she has been missing for 3 years. It makes sense she'd end up in a place like this."

He continues to input commands into the Batcomputer, bringing up any recent anomalies or energy readings that could indicate the presence of advanced technology.

"We don't have much time. I'll need the exact coordinates of the lab and any details you can provide about its layout and security measures."

Batman turns to a nearby cabinet, retrieving a small, portable device. He attaches it to his utility belt and grabs his cowl, preparing for the mission.

"I'll get you out of there and shut down that lab. But first, I need to know everything you can tell me about its defenses and any personnel inside. We need a precise plan to avoid any unnecessary risks."

His voice is firm and reassuring, filled with the confidence of a man who has faced countless dangers and emerged victorious. The Batcave hums with energy as Batman finalizes his preparations, ready to embark on another mission to protect Gotham.

First, you might want backup up there is a chaos lord and Felix Faust both very good at magic and both much stronger than you.

Batman's expression hardens at the mention of a Chaos Lord and Felix Faust. He knows the threat they pose, especially with their mastery of magic.

"Felix Faust and a Chaos Lord. This complicates things."

He pauses, considering his options. Batman reaches for a communicator and activates it, his voice steady and commanding.

"Oracle, get me in touch with Zatara, Wonder Woman, and Martian Manhunter. We need their expertise for a magical threat involving Felix Faust and a Chaos Lord. Inform them it's an urgent extraction and shutdown mission under Gotham."

He begins to relay additional instructions to the Batcomputer, setting up contingency plans and gathering intel on recent activities related to Faust and any known Chaos Lords.

"I'll coordinate with the League to ensure we have the firepower needed to handle this. In the meantime, I need you to stay with Zara and keep her safe. Keep feeding me any intel you can gather from inside the lab."

Batman dons his cowl, his voice becoming even more resolute as he prepares to face the formidable foes ahead.

"We'll get you both out of there. And we'll shut down that lab for good."

The Batmobile roars to life in the background, its engine a low, menacing growl as Batman makes his final preparations for the mission. The shadows of the Batcave seem to deepen, filled with the promise of the battle to come.

After Batman said that I left and returned to my body.

You know, I thought he would be more mad if I went into his cave without permission, I said to Zara.

Wait batman has a cave.

Yes, that's like every man's dream.

Let me guess does he call it the bat cave HAHAHA.

Yes, yes he does I said to Zara with full seriousness then proceeded to laugh with her.

But I guess when I told him I needed his help he changed from intruder to where are you and how can I help you but in a more crude way.

So are they coming? Yes, they will be here in a few hours. Our job is just to wait until they make a bunch of noise so we can leave.

So do you know who is coming along with Batman?

Yeah, it's Zatara, Wonder Woman, and Martian Manhunter.

4 hours later

We heard a large explosion and knew that was our sign to leave.

I blasted the pod that I was in with pure strength and went and removed the Zaras pod in the same way.

Caring Zara in my arms since she has been in the pod for 3 years and although she has a super brain her body is still very human after being in semi-stasis for about 3 years it will take time for her to be able to walk properly.

Taking Zara I ran to the closest part where most noise was coming from and I saw Wonder Woman and Martian Manhunter fighting the witch boy and Batman and Zatara fighting Faust. Looking around I found the mad doctor who had made me hiding behind a wall scared.

After he saw me he yelled at me.

Areson HELP US, WE ARE BEING ATTACKED FULFILL YOUR DUTY AND KILL BATMAN, AND WONDER WOMAN.

Looking at the mad doctor I pointed my finger and put him to sleep with a spell.

Looking out at the battle, I saw chaos unfold. Wonder Woman, with her unyielding strength and agility, was a blur of motion as she exchanged blows with Klarion the Witch Boy. Her lasso glowed golden, wrapping around Klarion momentarily before he escaped with a mischievous grin. Martian Manhunter, in his formidable green form, phased through walls and delivered powerful psychic attacks that sent shockwaves through the room.

On the other side, Batman and Zatara are locked in a fierce struggle with Felix Faust. Batman's combat skills and gadgets complement Zatara's magical prowess, creating a dynamic and unpredictable fight. Felix Faust's spells crackled with dark energy, and he countered their attacks with precision and a malevolent glee.

Zara cradled in my arms, whispered weakly, "We need to get out of here while they're distracted."

I nodded, moving swiftly through the shadows to avoid the main battle. As we navigated the labyrinthine corridors, the echoes of combat faded slightly, but the sense of urgency remained. Zara's eyes fluttered open, and she managed a faint smile. "We're going to make it."

We reached a side exit, but as I prepared to break through, a surge of dark energy blocked our path. Klarion had noticed our escape and teleported in front of us, his cat Teekl perched on his shoulder, eyes gleaming with malicious curiosity.

"Oh, trying to leave so soon? The fun is just beginning," Klarion sneered, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

My heart raced, knowing that Klarion was no ordinary adversary. With Zara still recovering, fighting him head-on was risky. I had to buy time until the others could reach us.

"Step aside, Klarion," I said, my voice steady but firm. "You don't want to make this worse for yourself."

Klarion laughed a high-pitched sound that sent chills down my spine. "Worse for myself? Oh, darling, you've got it all wrong. I'm just here to enjoy the chaos. But if you insist on leaving, you'll have to get past me first."

As Klarion began to conjure a spell, I felt a surge of power within me. The same power that had been engineered into my very being. I channeled it, focusing all my strength and willpower into a single, decisive action. I had to protect Zara and get us out of there.

In a flash, I released a burst of energy, aiming directly at Klarion. He was momentarily stunned, allowing me to push through the barrier he had created. With Zara securely in my arms, I sprinted toward the exit, feeling the weight of our imminent escape.

Behind us, the battle raged on, but my focus was solely on getting Zara to safety. As we emerged into the night, the cool air was a stark contrast to the chaos we had left behind. I continued running until we reached a secure location, away from the immediate danger.

Panting, I set Zara down gently, and she looked up at me with gratitude and determination. "Thank you, Areson. We made it out."

I nodded, still catching my breath. "Now we just have to make sure the others can handle the rest."

We waited, tension hanging in the air, until the sounds of battle finally subsided. The night grew still, and moments later, Batman, Wonder Woman, Zatara, and Martian Manhunter appeared, their expressions a mix of exhaustion and triumph.

"You did well," Batman said, his voice steady. "Now let's get you both to safety. We have a lot to discuss."

Two hours later. (Justice league Space Satellite)

We caught Felix and Dr. Victor Random but the witch boy had escaped said Batman.

What going to happen to them

"Felix Faust and Dr. Victor Random will be taken into custody," Batman began, his tone carrying the weight of authority. "They'll be placed in a secure facility where they can't pose any further threats."

He turned to look at me, his expression unreadable behind the cowl. "As for Klarion the Witch Boy, he managed to escape. He's elusive, but we'll find him."

Zara, standing beside me with a mixture of relief and concern on her face, spoke up softly. "What about the lab? What will happen to it?"

Batman's gaze softened slightly as he considered her question. "We'll investigate the lab thoroughly. Shut it down and secure any dangerous technology or experiments inside. It won't be used for harm again."

I nodded, a sense of determination filling me. "And what about us? What happens now?"

That's for you to decide, said Wonder Woman.

But tell me who are you?

Am Areson

Yes I know your name but we heard you were a clone but a clone of who

I looked at Wonder Woman with all the seriousness in the world and I said.

YOU
