Chapter 33 - Chspter 32

Lythana awoke from her A- grade medicinal bath, a rare improvement over their usual B- baths. They had lost their human roommate to the infirmary, making it difficult to achieve higher-grade baths with just the three of them.

The female Vorath in her group remained aloof and uncommunicative, her name still unknown to Lythana. Despite her standoffishness, the Vorath was undeniably strong and often contributed significantly to their best grades.

Wind Gale, the Ursox, was simple-minded and straightforward. Lythana had come to appreciate her directness, even if her conversational skills were limited. Her typical contributions were blunt but effective.

"I go eat now. I sleep now. I go train now."

Despite the challenges, Lythana herself wasn't a slouch, and together they managed to get by.

Climbing out of her bath, Lythana felt her mouth and was relieved to find her teeth had grown back. She walked over to order new clothes, her current ones tattered from the day's sparring. She noticed Males often ogling her during the sparring with Finn yesterday, but not Finn. He had ruthlessly kicked her ass repeatedly without a second thought, he hadn't cared even a bit.

She smiled, determined. Finn would be her sharpening stone for the next six months. She needed to improve quickly if she wanted to keep him as her sparring partner. Grappling him again would be nearly impossible now.

Stretching, Lythana glanced at the talisman Grolak had given her. It electrocuted her, creating micro-injuries in her nervous system, tendons, ligaments, and muscles for the medicinal bath to heal. Over time it would enhance finer motor control. She had convulsed for twenty excruciating minutes.

Walking over, she ordered a high-grade meal. As she did, Wind Gale approached.

"I order food now," she said simply.

Lythana handed her the medallion, watching as she placed her order.

A female Ursox servant named Swift Current, an elder by Ursox standards, entered and respectfully set the food down before leaving. Lythana thanked her before she left.

Sitting down to eat, Lythana contemplated her day. She would give everything she had in the upcoming sparring sessions. Her thoughts drifted to her mother. She would have her revenge.

Finn had been a brutal opponent, and she knew she had to match his intensity and skill. Her body ached from the previous day's beatings, but her spirit was unbroken. She was determined to push herself beyond her limits, to become stronger, faster, and more skilled.

As she ate, Lythana mentally prepared herself for the day ahead. She thought about the system prompt they had received. Sparring for eight hours straight, a brief rest, and then another eight hours of sparring. It would be grueling, but she welcomed the challenge. The upcoming life-and-death battle with a goblin weighed heavily on her mind. Failure was not an option.

After finishing her meal, she stretched again, feeling her muscles loosen. She looked at her new clothes, fresh and ready for another day of intense training. She thought about Finn, her relentless sparring partner. He had been a force to reckon with, and she respected his strength. But she would not be content to simply follow his lead. She would push herself to surpass him.

Lythana walked to the training grounds, her resolve hardening with each step. She was ready to face the day, to endure the pain, and to grow stronger. For her mother, for herself, and for the future she envisioned.
