Chapter 1 - Chapter 01: Episode 01-Rise of Montgomery Part 1

The notorious criminal of the century had finally been brought to justice after 10 years of evading capture. Naoya Takahashi, the mastermind behind more than 137 heinous crimes, stood before the world media, his hands and legs shackled, his body restrained to the ground. The executioner posed one final question to him: "Do you regret your actions?"

Naoya's response was defiant and chilling: "Fuck no, it was the most entertaining thing I've ever done in my life." With a swift motion, the executioner raised his scythe and slit Naoya's throat, severing his head from his body. The once-infamous criminal now lay lifeless, a haunting reminder of the devastating consequences of his crimes. However, something strange occurred. This event wasn't real; it was merely the climax of a book's story. But the weirdest part was yet to come. When the reader closed the book, he pulled out a mirror from his pocket, and a sense of unease settled in. It was as if the reader bore a striking resemblance to the killer. The unexpected had happened: Naoya Takahashi, after dying, had transcended to a higher plane of existence, acquiring a new body and new control.

The criminal's journey was far from over. As he ventured into this new world, the possibilities were endless, and only time would tell what chaos he would unleash. The question on everyone's mind was: what would become of this new world, now that Naoya Takahashi had arrived? .Naoya Takahashi, still grasping the book, tucked it away and redirected his attention to the pocket mirror. His gaze fell upon a striking visage: white, shining hair framed his face, while gorgeous, crimson eyes seemed to pierce through the glass. His impressive sense of style in clothing only added to his allure, making him a perfect model, if one were to describe him in a single word. However, it wasn't his own appearance that piqued his interest. The questions swirling in his mind centered around the person he had transcended into, and the uncanny resemblance they shared.

A multitude of questions bombarded his thoughts, but one stood out above the rest: why was this person identical to him? Naoya's curiosity was piqued, and he was determined to uncover the truth behind this mysterious connection.Naoya Takahashi began to survey his surroundings, noticing that the door was locked, and every possible entrance was sealed shut. It was clear that this was the person's room, complete with clothes tailored to his size, books marked with annotations, and various other personal belongings. Naoya was intrigued, thinking to himself that this cozy, classic space was reminiscent of those found only in stories. However, his primary concern remained: uncovering the identity of the person he had transcended into.

As he searched the room, his eyes landed on a personal ID card. The details etched onto it read: Montogomery Stephen, 179 cm, 76 kg, with white hair, red eyes, soft lips, and an eerily symmetrical nose and ears. Naoya couldn't help but chuckle to himself. "Hahaha, is this truly my name? I'd rather be aborted than be called by such a disgusting name." Yet, it didn't matter to him; the person's appearance wasn't so different from his own, and he could say they were identical. Naoya's thoughts turned to the clothes he wore, and he decided to make some changes. He removed his clothes, revealing a strong and healthy body. "I see," Naoya mused, "could it be that not only my mind but also the features of my body have transcended? This is truly a moment of fun, isn't it?"

As Naoya pondered the new world and his attire, he was interrupted by a knock at the door. The sound of the lock breaking and the door creaking open caught his attention. Naoya wondered who this person was and what they sought The person who entered the room was none other than Alexander Montgomery, Stephen's father. He stood tall and strong, with a unique facial expression that exuded an air of authority, a true patriarch of the family. Alexander's gaze fell upon Naoya, who was still standing in the room, dressed in Stephen's attire. "Stephen, why are you so reckless? You always stay in your room, not even leaving for food. As the only heir of this family, you bring great shame to our name," Alexander scolded.

Naoya, still getting accustomed to his new surroundings, responded, "Excuse me, Father, for not hearing your call for hours, but I'd rather we converse while you're not drinking." Alexander was taken aback, his expression a mix of surprise and curiosity. "I never told you I go drinking. How would you know such a thing, Stephen?" Naoya smiled, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "It's easy, Father. Your shoes are covered in mud, and that stick you hold has a peculiar shape. Not to mention the scar on your hand and the aroma of grape wine on your breath."

Alexander was impressed by his son's deductive abilities, a hint of a smile on his face. "Well, then, there might be hope. Stephen, we need to go see the Game Master. You owe him a significant amount of money. Are you ready?" Naoya, still adjusting to his new identity, nodded in agreement. "Yes, Father, I understand."

Alexander's face lit up with a warm smile, pleased with his son's decision. "Well, then, it's time to go and repay that person. Stephen, let's go." Naoya, thinking to himself, was ecstatic about the new challenges that lay ahead. "I'm ready for you, Game Master," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.
