*on the way to Alya*
From the entrance to the city to the Duke's House there were millions of people standing at the sides of the road.
"Wow, there are a lot of people here" I said to myself, "and all this to see a bunch of buffoons enter the city, what a waste of time".
*at Alya's*
"Here is the bow and arrows" Alya said, handing them to me.
"thank you" I said to her "I really have no way to pay you now so–"
"You don't have to pay me" she said, "think of it as a gift from childhood friends".
"A really strange gift I must to say" I said with a playful smile. Alya didn't laugh, she looked at me with a serious look, "You know, if you want, you can come and live with us, I know you'll be good as a smith. Your sister told me to watch over you, s—"
"Alya, I'm grateful to you for looking after me when I was nine, I know how hard it was for you to look after both me and Nick. I don't want to be a burden on you again" I said.
"You've never been a burden to me" Alya said, " besides, times have changed, I'm not eleven years old anymore, I don't have to feed you and Nike of a money from oddly jobs, today I'm eighteen years old and I have my own blacksmith. Believe me, I can take good care of you and Nick."
I remained silent. Maybe this is my chance to experience a family again. Maybe this is what will help me get rid of that bad memor– "...I am grateful for everything you have done for me, but I prefer to continue taking care of myself" I said, you can't just forget her... its your fault...
"I understand" said Alya silently, "Maybe you would like to drink tea and talk some more?"
"Another time, I have work to do now" I said and walked out of the blacksmith.
*at the exit gate from the town*
"What do you mean I can't pass?!" I asked angrily.
"No one leaves the town and no one enters it without the Duke's permission" said one of the guards.
You must be kidding me "let me pass!!!" I shouted at them.
"There is no going out or in, without the Duke's permission!" Repeated the guard "if you try to do something funny madam....young lady....we will have to stop you by force."
"Ok ok" I said "I'll just have to turn around and go bac-" I started running between the guards and when I already felt the taste of victory one of them catched me by the cap of my cloak and threw me back.
"stupid guards" I muttered to myself as I stomped my feet back into the city.
*at town*
I walked around town, I can't give up hunting today!!! Maybe I'll climb up the barrier! I glanced at the wall and got cold feet no no no, it's impossible, it's too high! Maybe I really should give up on hunting today, I took my bag of coins out of my pocket, shot, it's not good, I don't have enough money to pay for shelter or even to buy food!! I stopped when I saw in front of me the procession to the royal family, my face got bright red, if it wasn't for this ridiculous royal family I wouldn't be in such a problem!! I took a deep breath "I guess it's better to go back to stealing today" I said to myself with a mischievous smile, and I know how will be the victim.
