I don't know when I fell asleep but I knew the moment I had stepped into something more then a dream. I fell to hard black floor hard on to my back. I felt pain but a sense that I was in between a dream and some where else entirely.
I looked around calling my revolver to my hand as I came to my feet. It felt more in my hand and the heat of blue flames surrounded the revolver as I held it in my hands and aimed in the direction I sensed the danger.
I took aim though I saw nothing. I could feel it whatever it was coming toward me at a fast but sneaky speed. I listened until it was close enough and then I took aim and fired on the creature.
I heard it scream out a wild cat sound as it was driven back but not down. It dodged to my right. I followed it's movements with my ears and sensed and fired again. This time it was driven down to the black floor where it caught fire in black flames and died in a loud and horrific death.
