Amy Blake longingly stared out the window, her heart pounding as she anticipated. It had been years since she saw him, and she wondered what he would look like, but she didn't care. She had loved him and would love him forever. Heck! She couldn't stop loving him. News had got out that he was returning back to town. She had heard the other house help gossip about that but she hadn't dared to hope until she heard Lady Bonucci say so herself, ordering them to decorate the house and make the mansion beautiful. She scrubbed the plate in her hands subconsciously, her hands working by themselves out of years of experience and practice. Lady Bonucci walked in, stern as ever she scowled.
"Better hurry girl, we don't have much time. My son will be home any moment from now. Do your job" she snapped and Amy nodded, wisely staying silent. It was best not to talk especially when being spoken to by Lady Bonucci. Ever since Don Bonucci had died, she wasn't given the free will privilege that Don Bonucci had granted her. Lady Bonucci had made sure that she did her duties as an househelp. She watched as Lady Bonucci poured herself wine and stared at the window then she headed for the door but stopped.
"When you are done, I'll want all of you to welcome my son. Be professional, no ogling" she said and walked away.
No ogling. Amy wasn't sure she wouldn't stare. Luke had always been handsome, it would be hard not to look at him. She straightened her dress and hoped her hair looked okay. Luke had once told her he didn't care how her hair looked. That he loved her for it.
Love! Such a strong word, so strong that it hadn't left Amy's system for years and she wasn't sure she was going to love anyone other than Luke Bonucci. She looked at the glass in front of her and sighed, would he have changed like she did, she had gone from mere teenager to a mature young adult. Her woman assets and features were well endowed and this was always a cause for jealousy among other house help
A car honked outside and Amy's heart beat faster, she looked out the window again and watched as a black bulletproof sedan pulled up in front of the house and heavily armed guys dressed in black opened the door and when she saw who stepped down...Amy's heart did somersaults. She rinsed the last of the plate and rushed to the giant main room along with other help to welcome him and as the front door flew open she suddenly forgot how to breathe. Luke was handsome before but now he looked so much like...a man. His boyish face was long gone instead replaced by a familiar yet hardened roguish look. His dark hair fell to his temples and the nape of his neck and on his jaw she could make out a day's growth of beard and those eyes. He looked so handsome that she couldn't stop staring. His biceps, she noticed, were bulging and he looked so tall. He was five foot last time she saw him but now he looked a whopping six foot eight. She noticed something wrong, those blue eyes of his had changed. Luke smiled and as if he sensed her watching, he raised his head and their eyes met. Amy's heart beat for joy but then he smiled, not the usual charming and friendly smile she was used to but a cold smile of interest as if he was just meeting her for the first time.
"Hector" he said to the right hand man beside him. "It's fine now. I am good, you can go" he said and the bald man Hector nodded and bowed before leaving. He smiled at Amy and extended a hand.
"I like you beautiful , you are?" He asked and Amy's eyes watered and she fought the urge not to cry. Did he already forget her?
"Amy Blake" she said bitterly and something flickered in those hardened blue eyes and he pulled his hand backwards.
"Oh" he said, his voice was deep and it ran through Amy's body. "I remember you" he said and he walked away leaving Amy stunned, this was not the meeting she had expected considering what they were when they teens, she had even given him the most cherished part of her, her womanhood. She rushed to her room and sniffed.
Something must be wrong somewhere, he couldn't have completely changed. Didn't he love her anymore? Or maybe he is tired it must have been a long journey from Italy, she thought and wiped her te ars, she would sneak to his room as she did before and everything would go back to how it used to be.

Amy smiled to herself as she put on her nightgown and straightened her dark hair and stared at the mirror, satisfied with what she saw she grinned. She felt a little nervous honestly she didn't know how Luke would react but she remembered he wouldn't be asleep now. Even if he were he would be awake as soon as she was in. He was always a light sleeper. Like a cat. She gritted her teeth as the air got chilly suddenly, winter was approaching and the night air was getting a little bit colder, she tiptoed down the hallway leading to his room and reached his door and suddenly pulled it open a crack. She could hear voices and she could make out a female one, she pushed open the door and there was Luke groaning as sheets around him and one of the house help on him, with her eyes closed in ecstasy. Amy felt hot tears of pain and anger fill up her eyes but she quickly wiped them away and headed back to her room, drained of energy on seeing that. She reached her room and closed the door, sinking to the ground. She let the tears flow until she eventually fell asleep
