Punk Hazard: Clash of the Titans
The steel gate at the entrance appeared to have been crushed by an immense force, twisted out of shape and scattered in fragments. A large group of people slowly walked out from the research institute, which bore signs of battle and corpses strewn everywhere.
"Well, well, well—" Big Mom's voice echoed. "Caesar! Did you see that? Even the World Government can't stop our BIGMOM Pirates! Instead of working for others, it's better to stay on Cake Island and create a race of giants for me!"
In the middle of the crowd, Caesar Clown wore seastone handcuffs and was crying. A few days ago, the World Government had evacuated everyone except him. Dozens of CP agents disguised as researchers had planned to ambush the BIGMOM Pirates, but these well-trained killers were all discovered and killed within half a day. Caesar didn't care who he worked for, be it the World Government, the Beasts Pirates, or the BIGMOM Pirates, but the critical issue was that he had no real knowledge about human gigantism. He had only lied in a moment of desperation.
A group escorted Caesar to the entrance of the research institute. Suddenly, Katakuri looked up at the sky, his expression serious. Thousands of meters high, above the thick clouds, he sensed an extremely dangerous presence.
"Charlotte Linlin! Why did you attack my men!" A thunderous voice boomed. A heart-stopping momentum was released as a massive blue dragon broke through the heavy clouds and descended over the research institute. The dragon's bloodthirsty, cold eyes stared at everyone below.
Big Mom licked her lips, holding Napoleon, her sword, and sneered, "Well, well, well—Kaido, I didn't expect you to show up here. Attacking your subordinates? What stupid things are you talking about? Haven't we already started a war?"
As she finished speaking, an earth-shattering roar echoed above. The dragon's mouth glowed with blazing fire, and in the next moment, a beam of flames hundreds of meters wide swept towards everyone. The people behind Big Mom were shocked, recognizing Kaido's signature attack—Bolo Breath. The attack's range was several kilometers long and its power terrifying, capable of evaporating a mountaintop in an instant.
Big Mom sneered, gripping her serrated magic blade with both hands, and slashed with all her might, "Ikoku!"
Boom! The fierce and domineering slash split the flame beam in half. This was not the first time the two had fought; she was very familiar with Kaido's dragon form. In fact, she had originally given Kaido the mythical Zoan fruit that allowed him to transform into a blue dragon. She had put in a lot of effort to obtain this fruit, only for them to turn against each other.
"Zeus!" Big Mom called.
"Hi, Mom!" Thundercloud Zeus responded.
Big Mom jumped onto Zeus and rushed towards the dragon above. As they clashed, an earth-shattering battle ensued. Zoan mythical beasts granted users not only extremely exaggerated physiques but also many mysterious and powerful abilities. Kaido, in his blue dragon form, could control fire, wind, and thunder. His huge body created roaring hurricanes, turning into countless wind blades that attacked Big Mom.
Big Mom was not to be outdone, swinging Napoleon to unleash giant slashes. The aftermath of their collision raged, forcing everyone below to retreat and hide in the research institute. The institute's solid walls began to crack under the pressure.
The clear sky suddenly turned dark, filled with thick clouds and roaring thunder. Tens of thousands of lightning bolts, as thick as arms, fell from the sky.
"Zeus!" Big Mom called again.
"Hi, Mom!" Zeus released countless thunderbolts, competing with the storm created by Kaido.
Rumble—thunder boomed, and the sky flashed with dazzling light. Hot breath fell from the sky, and Prometheus, Big Mom's sun homie, expanded into a giant fireball with a diameter of a thousand meters. The high temperature erupted, turning the sky into a sea of fire. Slashes, thunder, and flames continued to rage, creating a life-restricted area over Punk Hazard. The scene looked like a natural disaster, terrifying even from a distance.
Katakuri slowly drew his trident. "Marine could arrive at any time. We can't linger here," he said. "Perospero, Oven, the three of us will support Mom. The rest will escort Caesar to the port and be ready to leave at any time."
Katakuri was the strongest among the BIGMOM Pirates after his mother, reliable and powerful. Despite being the eldest son, Perospero had to follow his younger brother's orders in this situation. Everyone nodded and split into two groups, acting separately.
The Waters Near Punk Hazard
Twenty warships formed a circle, surrounding the island. On the deck of one warship, a tall man removed his blindfold, stood up from his chair, and looked towards the island.
"Ara ara, these two sea emperors are really fighting," Admiral Aokiji said. "But the timing of our arrival is perfect. The World Government's intelligence capabilities are impressive..."
His adjutant trotted over and saluted. "Admiral Kuzan, the BIGMOM Pirates are moving towards the port and seem to be leaving. Should we take action?"
Aokiji scratched his head and took out a communicator. "Hey, Akainu, it looks like the leaders of the BIGMOM Pirates are leaving. Should we act now, or let them fight a bit longer?"
Marine had dispatched two Admirals and five Vice Admirals with the target of Kaido alone. Capturing Charlotte Linlin would be a bonus if possible. Aokiji initially thought this would be an easy task, but the battle between the two emperors exceeded his expectations. He doubted his ability to defeat either one in a one-on-one fight. It seemed wiser to let them weaken each other first.
Akainu's cold voice came from the communicator. "Why are you hesitating? They are all pirates! Letting them go is not my justice. Fire! Sink them into the sea along with this island!"
