"These wounds look weird..."
Armand commented, walking among the corpses as if it was nothing.
"This one looks like it was inflicted by a Warlock of either the GodKing of Lightning or the God of Flames."
Phyla said, pointing at the charred palmprint on the bandit leader's chest.
"But I can't feel any residual Divine Essence from these corpses..."
Armand said with a frown on his face.
"Forget it. Let's look for another Aberration."
...
Redstone City, with a population of more than half a million, was one of thirteen cities in the SkyHarp County of the Shining Sun Empire.
As the closest city to the Misty Forest, large amounts of merchants dwelled in it at all times of the year, coveting the many valuable goods hidden in that large forest.
They inadvertently brought huge amounts of prosperity to Redstone City, making it one of the most successful trade cities in the kingdom.
This prosperous city, which was the lifeline of many surrounding towns and villages, was graced by a lone visitor on this day.
Leo surveyed the crowded streets, his gaze flickering with a calmness that was almost ominous. The busy atmosphere was unable to faze him; something that would have been expected from a country bumpkin.
However, in this case, it was understandable.
Earth in the twenty first Century was much more amazing, as Leo had visited cities a few, even dozens of times more prosperous than this, not to mention with a lot more population.
His mind was currently occupied anyways, with dark thoughts of revenge.
Walking the streets for more than half an hour, he was about to enter it, but suddenly heard a commotion.
"Make way! Make way!"
Leo turned, and was able to dodge just in time for a carriage to pass by, everyone else making way.
One person, however, was unable to move away in time, and he was trampled upon by the horses.
"D*mn! That Sherman br*t is getting more and more unbridled." A man cursed under his breath, a few meters away from Leo.
"Shhh! Don't let anyone hear you. He's the son of Baron Lombard after us, not someone people like us can offend."
His friend cautioned and they gradually walked away.
Leo looked at the dead body being carried away with an indifferent expression, as he stepped into the inn and got a room, for two Coppr coins a night.
After settling in, he estimated his current net worth. A grand total of two hundred and fifty Silver Coins.
Before leaving the village, he searched high and low for money, with no qualms at all, because leaving it there would just make it go to waste.
Including the money from the dead bandits, and the wolf felt that was previously sold, this was all he could come up with.
The Village Head had also contributed a lot, roughly fifty Silver Coins.
With these funds, Leo's financial situation was a bit more relaxed, and if he chose to settle down and invest in a business, he would surely live a comfortable life.
But that was not what he wanted...
Sitting crossed legged on the bed, Leo's eyes turned towards the attribute panel, his brows pondered silently.
The [Evolving] trait in front of his Spiritual Totem Technique was becoming slightly darker, while the technique itself had started to blur.
Leo had already started to comprehend the technique that would succeed it, and would use Energy Points to speed things up every once in a while.
On the other hand, Leo was confused as to why his stats stopped at the human limit, but he had a conjecture.
'It's most likely the human limit. The attributes of a normal human can definitely not increase indefinitely. I have to find a way to break this shackle.'
However, the benefits brought about by having 3 points in all Stats were pretty tangible, especially since he could control most of his muscles perfectly.
With 3 points in Strength, if he was an ordinary person, he would be able to lift between four and five hundred kilograms (one thousand pounds).
With his extraordinary bodily control, he could lift more than a ton, and generate a force of up to two tons.
Agility counterbalanced the bloatness brought about by having excess Strength and improved nerve reflexes. With 3 points, he could run at up to 19m/s.
With 3 points in Intelligence, he had photographic memory and strong comprehension abilities.
With 3 points in Vitality, he could heal nearly six times faster than a normal human, and his metabolism was six times faster, increasing his body's detoxification ability.
With 3 points in Stamina, he was like an ox, able to stay up for days on end, and fight for a few hours.
Right now, Leo was at the peak of the human race, able to easily win any Olympic gold medal if he was still on Earth.
The only humans that could surpass him even on this planet were the Warlocks.
...
White vapor flowed in the small room, rolling to and fro. It looked like the enclave of an Immortal.
In the midst of this, Leo was seen in the center of the room, holding a horse stance.
Breathing in and out, his breathing followed a mysterious pattern, as he slowly took some stances, one after the other.
At times he was like a raging tiger, fierce and tyrannical.
At others he was like a flaming bird, the temperature increasing considerably.
And then he was like a snake with the bloodline of a dragon. Arrogant and unceasing.
And then at other times he was like an ancient tortoise, unmoving and unshakeable.
At this moment, he suddenly shook, taking on a stance that seemed to fuse the essences of the previous four into one.
He opened his eyes, breathing out a column of air that reached two meters, taking a long time to dissipate!
'The Spiritual Totem Technique has finally evolved.'
"Let it be called... The Spiritual Overlord Technique!" Leo said, his eyes glistening.
---
Spiritual Overlord Technique (Level One - Overlord Soul): Merges the originally scattered essence of the four Spiritual Totems into one Spiritual Overlord. This technique forges the ultimate martial artist, with unmatched killing technique. The second level will grant the Overlord Heart.

Ten days had passed since he came to Redstone City, and he hadn't done much apart from eating and practicing martial arts.
Now that he had evolved his martial arts, he planned to collect some information from the outside world.
Putting on some casual clothes, he stepped out of the inn.
