Chapter 65 - Going to Anakouzanu
As the memories from my clone flooded my mind, I pushed them aside and focused on the task at hand. We had finally reached the edge of the city, but the puppet army continued to close in. Their relentless pursuit made it clear that there was no time to waste.
Once we were at the city's edge, I turned to the group of survivors—men, women, and children who had barely escaped with their lives. Their faces were etched with fear, exhaustion, and the anguish of losing their loved ones. The air was thick with the stifled cries of those mourning, mixed with the murmurs of anger and the desire for vengeance.
"Wait here for me," I said firmly, scanning the group one last time. "I'm going to kill that bastard."
A chorus of voices erupted from the crowd, each one demanding justice for their fallen friends and family. Some wept openly, while others stared at me with burning determination, their eyes begging me to end the nightmare they had endured.
Before heading off, I approached Sēramu, the queen of Rōran. She stood tall, but the weight of everything that had happened was clearly visible in her eyes. I could sense her worry, not just for her people, but for me as well.
"I'll be going now," I told her, trying to keep my voice steady.
"Will you be okay?" she asked, her concern evident as she reached out, placing a hand on my arm.
"Don't worry," I replied, offering a small smile as I patted her head. She was almost the same height as me, and for a moment, we just stood there, sharing a brief moment of understanding.
"Be careful," little Sara said, clutching her mother's clothes tightly, her eyes downcast.

Before leaving, I formed two shadow clones, ordering them to stay and protect the group. The previous clones had already fallen, but these new ones would ensure their safety in my absence.
With that, I turned and sprinted towards the center of the city, activating my Eager Eyes to see clearly in the dark. The city was eerily quiet now, the only sound being the faint echo of my footsteps as I made my way deeper into enemy territory. I could feel the tension building with every step, the anticipation of the coming battle weighing heavily on my mind.
The memory of the puppets mining in the underground chamber was still fresh in my mind. I knew that Anakouzanu was close—this was his domain, the place where he had orchestrated all of this chaos. My heart pounded in my chest as I drew closer, the adrenaline coursing through my veins fueling my determination.
This was it—the moment of truth. The final confrontation.
