Chapter 52 - The confession and Information
Sēramu quickly shook her head, trying to regain her composure. "Cough, what do you mean by that?" she asked, trying to sound firm but betraying a hint of anxiety.
"I mean, you will be assassinated in two days," I said, my tone serious and unwavering.
Her eyes widened in shock. "What do you mean by that?" she demanded, her voice rising slightly in panic.
I moved quickly, covering her mouth once more to prevent her from yelling. Her cheeks flushed pink at the sudden contact.
"Listen carefully," I said in a low, urgent voice. "You will be killed in two days by your own personal advisor, and I'm here to protect you."

I gently removed my hand from her mouth, and she looked at me with a mixture of fear and confusion. "Why? Why would you do that?" she asked, her voice trembling.
But I knew better than to answer that question directly. "And why would my own advisor kill me?" she pressed, grabbing the collar of my jacket, her eyes reddening with unshed tears.
I sighed, gently prying her soft hands away from my collar.

Sēramu took a deep breath, steadying herself. Once she was calm again, she looked at me, waiting for an explanation.
I decided to start with her second question. "Yes, your advisor plans to kill you because you won't agree with his plans. And even if you die, he has a backup plan—to use your daughter to further his goals." I explained, trying to make her understand the gravity of the situation.
Then, I moved on to her first question. "As for why I'm saving you… I don't have any particular reason. I was just passing by, and then I saw you, and…"
"And?" she urged, leaning closer in anticipation.
"And then… I fell in love with you," I replied, scratching my head awkwardly.
Sēramu seemed momentarily stunned, her eyes glazing over as she processed my words.

She snapped out of her trance, her face turning even redder. "W-what do you mean? Do you even know how old I am? And you—you must be 15 or 16!" she stammered.
I chuckled softly. "You're 26 this year, right? That's not too old. You're in your prime."

She tried to argue, "W-what do you mean by that? I have a daughter, you know?"
I smiled. "Yes, I know. Sara, right?"

"So why?" she asked, still looking confused.
"Because I like her too," I replied with a mischievous grin.
Sēramu fell silent, staring at me as if I had grown a second head. Her expression was a mix of shock and disbelief.
"Ahem, I'm 12 years old; it's natural," I added, trying to lighten the mood.
She sighed, clearly struggling to trust me. "I cannot trust you, can I?"
"Don't worry about that," I said confidently, opening my system inventory and taking out the Perfect Clone Card.
