Chapter 48 - Gifts: Part 2
As evening descended upon Konoha, I decided to unwind with a bowl of ramen at our favorite spot. The warm, savory broth was a comforting end to a busy day. As I entered the ramen shop, I noticed Kakashi, Obito, and Rin seated at a table, already engaged in animated conversation.
"Hey, guys!" I called out, waving as I approached their table. "Mind if I join you?"
"Ruki!" Kakashi greeted with a smile. "Sure, pull up a chair."
Obito and Rin both looked up, their expressions brightening as they saw me. "Hey, Ruki!" Rin exclaimed, waving enthusiastically.
I sat down, and we quickly resumed our conversation about the day's events and upcoming plans. After a while, I reached into my bag, retrieving the gifts I had prepared for them.
"I brought something for each of you," I said, pulling out the Yin-Yang lockets. The lockets were intricately designed, one half adorned with a symbol of the sun and the other with a symbol of the moon, representing balance and connection.
I separated the lockets, handing the Yang half to Kakashi and the Yin half to Obito. "These are for you guys. They're designed to connect with each other, so as long as you wear them, we'll always be in touch, no matter how far apart we are."
Kakashi examined the locket, a thoughtful expression on his face. "This is really cool, Ruki. Thanks."
Obito grinned, his locket catching the light as he held it up. "This is awesome! Thanks a lot, Ruki."
Next, I pulled out a pair of sleek, new shinobi shoes and handed them to Rin. "I got these for you, Rin. I figured they'd be useful on your missions."
Rin's eyes lit up as she took the shoes. "These are fantastic! Thank you so much, Ruki. They're just what I needed."
We all shared a moment of camaraderie, and the conversation turned to our upcoming missions and future plans. The evening was filled with laughter and good-natured teasing as we enjoyed our meal together.

[Rin's favourity increased to 77]
As we finished up, I felt a sense of satisfaction knowing I had shared meaningful gifts with my friends. Each present was a symbol of our bond and a way to keep us connected, even as I prepared to leave for my journey.
The night wore on, and the ramen shop gradually emptied. After saying my goodbyes and exchanging promises to stay in touch, I left, feeling a mix of excitement and nostalgia. The road ahead was uncertain, but with the support and connections I had, I knew I would face whatever came next with confidence.
The village was quiet as I walked home, the stars shining brightly above. Another day had passed, and though I would be leaving soon, the memories and friendships I had cherished would remain with me, guiding and inspiring me through the challenges ahead.
