Chapter 1: Reborn into the Naruto World

---

"I am Karn Kumar, just an ordinary otaku—or maybe not. I have quite a good education, many skills, and am not bad in conversation. My looks are above average," the voice introduced himself silently, a mix of self-awareness and wistfulness threading through his tone. The kind of self-awareness that came only after countless hours spent in front of a screen, lost in worlds that were never truly his.

"Do I have any regrets in life?" The voice carried a heavy, remorseful undertone, laden with unspoken sorrow. The words felt like they were being pulled from deep within, each syllable weighed down by memories best left forgotten.

"Yes, everyone has regrets."

"My regret was that my life ended too soon."

'Too soon...' the thought echoed in the void, bouncing around like a forgotten dream that refused to fade away.

"Yeah, everyone thinks their life was short. I'm no exception," Karn explained, his voice colored with a blend of resignation and nostalgic longing. He could almost see the life he once had, slipping through his fingers like grains of sand.

"I had a girlfriend. Hey, don't look at me like that! I know I said I'm an otaku, but how did I end up with a girlfriend?" The voice quivered with a mix of panic and embarrassment, as if pleading for understanding from an unseen audience. 'She was my everything...' he admitted to himself, though the words never reached the surface.

"Of course, I didn't court her."

'She just... appeared in my life, like a character walking into a scene out of nowhere.'

"Let me tell you my story first."

"Wait!! My memories!" The voice suddenly erupted in a panic, his fear tangible as he struggled against the encroaching fog of oblivion. He could feel them slipping, those precious pieces of his identity, dissolving like mist before the morning sun.

'No, no, no! I can't lose them! Not now!' His thoughts scrambled in desperation, trying to hold onto something—anything—that would keep him tethered to who he was.

The memories were slipping away, becoming distorted and hazy. A thick, opaque mist enveloped his past, making him feel a profound sense of loss and helplessness. 'Who am I without them? What am I without her?' The questions clawed at his mind, leaving him more lost than before.

"I still have the memories of the anime I watched in my previous life. I know my name, I know basic knowledge, and I have all my skills. Everything else—my life, my family, and my friends—is gone." His voice trembled with the weight of this realization, feeling adrift in a sea of forgotten connections. The faces, the voices, the laughter—it was all fading, leaving behind a hollow ache in his chest.

Everything plunged into darkness.

Suspended in an endless void, Karn felt a crushing sense of isolation and uncertainty. "I don't know how much time has passed," he murmured into the abyss, the oppressive silence amplifying his loneliness. 'Am I dead? Or is this some kind of twisted dream?' He wondered, though he feared the answer.

"I don't know if I have a body," he stated, his voice fraught with despair and confusion as he grappled with the disorienting void. 'Am I even real anymore? Or just a fragment of a broken memory?' The thought sent a chill down his spine.

And suddenly,

[Ding!!]

A sharp, echoing chime pierced the darkness.

A window materialized in front of his face, glowing with a faint, eerie light:

[Villain System has been Integrated]

The corners of his mouth twitched into a tentative smile, a mix of cautious curiosity and lingering trepidation. 'A system? Like in those novels?' The idea seemed ridiculous, yet... strangely comforting.

A devilish smirk spread across Karn's face, his initial fear melting into a flicker of hope and anticipation. "Finally," he whispered, his voice soft but charged with renewed energy. 'Maybe this is my second chance—a chance to live the life I never could.'

Ding!!

[Tap to Spin]

A spinning wheel appeared, adorned with various anime titles.

"Eh?"

Karn was caught off guard. A jolt of anxiety and hope surged through him as he realized his fate hinged on this spinning wheel. 'This is it... my new world. Please, let it be a good one,' he prayed silently, heart pounding like a drum in his chest.

Of course, he knew he would be reincarnated, but the outcome depended on luck.

He crossed his fingers and whispered, "Please don't be Dragon Ball. Just don't be Dragon Ball."

Dragon Ball was the world he feared most. The idea of being born there filled him with dread, the thought of villains and peril looming like a dark storm cloud. 'I'd be dead before I even got started,' he thought bitterly. The sheer power levels, the constant threat—no, that wasn't the life he wanted.

If he was born as a normal person, any villain could come and kill him. He'd be dead before he could even start his 'life,' and as a villain in DBZ, everyone knows what happens to those. 'It's a death sentence,' he thought grimly.

He tapped the window, his heart pounding like a drum in his chest.

[Spinning the Wheel]

[Ding!!]

[World Selected]

[Dragon Ball Universe]

The wheel landed on Dragon Ball, and his heart plummeted. "Bruh."

A wave of despair washed over him, and tears pricked at the corners of his eyes as he faced the harsh reality of his situation. "I'm screwed," he said, his voice cracking as he collapsed to his knees, fists striking the ground with frustration. 'This can't be happening... not like this!'

'Back to reality'

"_" He stared blankly at the screen, overwhelmed and defeated. 'Why does it always have to be the worst outcome?'

[The world's level is too high for the host's soul]

A glimmer of hope flickered in his eyes. 'Wait... does that mean...?'

[The wheel will be spun again]

"Haah," a long sigh of relief escaped his lips, mingling with exhaustion and residual anxiety. 'Thank god... I'm not ready for that nightmare.'

The memories of the original owner flooded into his mind like a roaring tidal wave, bringing with them a tumultuous swirl of emotions: confusion, fear, and a profound sorrow for the life he had inherited. 'Who was this person? Why do I feel like I'm drowning in someone else's pain?' He thought, his mind reeling from the onslaught of foreign memories.

"Haah, haah—haah."

He gasped for breath, his body trembling as he tried to adapt to his new reality. He placed a hand on his head, drawing in deep, shaky breaths to steady himself. 'This isn't just a new life... it's a whole new world,' he realized, the weight of the situation settling heavily on his shoulders.

"Cough—cough."

He coughed violently and pushed himself up from the muddy, bloodstained ground, feeling the weight of his new existence pressing down on him. Despite the grim situation, a spark of hope flickered within him. 'I survived... I actually survived,' he thought, a mix of disbelief and determination filling his heart.

He shook off the mud and blood, his movements sluggish but determined as he tried to regain his composure. 'This isn't over yet... I can still make something of this life,' he vowed silently, his resolve hardening with each passing moment.

"Finally, I'm alive. I've been reborn."

'This isn't just a second chance... it's a new beginning,' he thought, the enormity of his situation finally sinking in.

"Ahh, this guy died, but thanks to the system, I took over his body." The boy sighed in relief, mixed with a deep sense of responsibility for the life he now inhabited. 'I can't waste this... I have to make it count,' he thought, feeling the weight of the original host's sacrifice on his conscience.

The original host of this body was killed by a Mist Village shinobi. He was on a mission on the border of the Land of Water when his team was attacked by Mist shinobi, some of the deadliest assassins. He sacrificed himself as a distraction to allow his team to escape.

'A true shinobi...'

Karn thought, his respect for the fallen ninja growing with each passing second. 'I'll honor your sacrifice... I'll live a life worthy of your legacy.'
