Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 The Trick of Catch-and-Release

Xia Fanxing took another glance at her phone before setting off.

There were still no messages from Mu Hanchen.

She found it unusual.

But she didn't have the time to look for him and could only wait until after she was done with work at the company.

When she arrived at the entrance of YJ Entertainment.

Xia Fanxing was still a bit nervous, aside from her yearly contract renewal visits, she hardly ever showed up at the company.

Even though she was coming as a music teacher to provide instruction, she still felt somewhat uneasy inside.

To be honest, she was a bit socially anxious and didn't like dealing with too many people.

Otherwise, she wouldn't have started by singing only online in the first place.

Xia Fanxing shook her head, casting aside the random thoughts that cluttered her mind.

Now that she was here, she couldn't chicken out, or Sister Yajun would be disappointed in her.

The moment Su Yajun saw Xia Fanxing, she immediately gave her a big hug, "That's great, Fanxing, with your help, I believe those kids will definitely succeed!"

"Sister Yajun, there's no need to be so formal with me. If it weren't for your help at the start, I wouldn't have been able to transition to working behind the scenes so quickly."

"Actually, I've always felt that with your talent and gifts, it's a pity for you to be just a songwriter. If there's a chance, I still hope you can stand in the spotlight and shine."

"Thank you for the compliment, Sister Yajun, but let's go teach the kids how to sing first."

"Alright, alright, I'll take you there. If they knew that Star, the legendary online singer from back in the day, is coming to instruct them in music, they'd be so excited they couldn't sleep!"

Xia Fanxing and Su Yajun went to the music classroom, chatting and laughing along the way.

When she pushed the door open, she saw four heads of different colors, red, gold, pink, blue.

If three more joined, wouldn't they become like the Calabash Brothers?

Su Yajun didn't find it unusual, and promptly introduced Xia Fanxing to the four, "This is Miss Xia Fanxing, your voice teacher for this month. Say hello to Teacher Xia."

The four guys looked at each other, none of them remembering such a person in the music industry.

But since she was personally brought in by the company's boss, she probably wasn't too bad.

So they obediently greeted Xia Fanxing, "Hello, Teacher Xia."

Xia Fanxing slightly waved her hand and smiled, "Hello, everyone."

Then Su Yajun introduced the four boys by name, "Fanxing, let me introduce them; their names are Zhang Jia, Wang Zifeng, Fan Dongdong, Chen Yu."

Xia Fanxing nodded her head, silently taking note of their names.

Just then, Su Yajun's phone began to ring. After giving a few quick instructions, she left.

Xia Fanxing then officially began the class.

The four boys weren't familiar with Xia Fanxing and didn't know her level, so they wanted to test her out.

The one with red hair, Wang Zifeng, resting his chin in his hand, looked at Xia Fanxing, "Teacher Xia, I heard from Su that you were really amazing before, and you sang some songs that went viral. What were they?"

Xia Fanxing saw the challenge in the boy's eyes but didn't mind, saying, "What songs I've sung doesn't matter. What's important is how well you guys can sing. Let's start with you."

Wang Zifeng pursed his lips but didn't dare to ignore the teacher's instructions on the first day of class.

So he obediently sang a song.

The other three followed suit, each singing a song.

They sounded much better than the average person but still lacked breath support, pitch accuracy, and vocal projection; more training would definitely make a difference over time.

After summarizing their performances, Xia Fanxing began to train each of them specifically.

Even though the four boys all thought they sang well and didn't need guidance, they still followed the company's arrangement to attend Xia Fanxing's class to ensure a smooth debut.

Before they knew it, a week had passed.

The training was effective, and the four boys' admiration for Xia Fanxing grew stronger and stronger.

On Sunday, Xia Fanxing gave them half a day off.

She too went back to her apartment to rest and recharge.

Only after she had fully rested did she remember that she hadn't contacted Mu Hanchen for a week.

She couldn't delay any longer.

So she made another phone call to him.

Mu Hanchen had just returned from a trip abroad, feeling tired. Seeing the call from Xia Fanxing, he hesitated for a few seconds before picking up, "What is it?"

Xia Fanxing immediately noticed the exhaustion in the man's voice, "Um... Are you alright?"

Mu Hanchen, with his eyes closed and pinching his brow, habitually instructed, "I went on a business trip abroad and just got back, very tired. You go ahead and prepare the bathwater and get something ready to eat..."

Xia Fanxing was surprised. Didn't he know she'd already moved out?

She pursed her lips and said softly, "I've already moved out, I can't prepare your bathwater anymore, you should ask someone else..."

Although she used to take care of Mu Hanchen's diet and daily life without any complaints,

She was now seeking a divorce; she no longer had that obligation.

Mu Hanchen's eyes snapped open, filled with a difficult-to-suppress sharpness, "Xia Fanxing, how long do you plan to keep playing this game of catching by pretending to release?"

Catching by pretending to release?

Xia Fanxing almost laughed out of annoyance. Hadn't she made herself clear enough, yet he still accused her of playing coy?

"If you don't trust my words that much, then I will bring my lawyer over tomorrow to discuss the divorce agreement in person."

Mu Hanchen's eyes, sharp as a hawk's, narrowed dangerously, "Fine, tomorrow morning at nine o'clock, don't be late."

He wanted to see, once the divorce agreement was drawn up, how she would continue with this act!
