Chapter 11 - Chapter 11 Save the Scene

Zhou Tao was feeling very upset listening to Li Wei's obvious implications that he was useless and, by the way, that his wife was too fat.

Even so, he still held back and didn't lash out at Li Wei.

If he was going to deal with Li Wei, he couldn't do it in the company, and definitely not in his own office.

As Li Wei reached the door, he turned back to look at them and added, "Oh yes, I'll take over Liu Qing's case. Ah Jiao, please let Zhao Jun know later."

"Liu Qing's case has been in Zhao Jun's hands for three months now, and I heard him say he's about to close the deal. Isn't it inappropriate for you to take over now?" Zhou Tao quickly retorted.

Li Wei's face showed disdain as he continued, "It's been TM three months and it's still not settled; do you really think he can handle it? Operations spent quite a bit of money on promotion last quarter, but our Marketing Department's performance doesn't seem to have met expectations. What do you think Director Tan is thinking right now?"

After hearing Li Wei's words, Zhou Tao didn't say much more. He was well aware that the sales performance for the third quarter was indeed poor and there were issues with operations. If he didn't make a strong push in this final week, it would be difficult to provide an explanation to Tan Hui.

In fact, what Zhou Tao was really considering now was not the company's performance but his end-of-year bonus.

After finishing his piece, Li Wei turned and left Zhou Tao's office.

Once Li Wei was gone, Lin Tianjiao quickly walked to Zhou Tao's side, arms wrapped around Zhou Tao's right arm, her face full of aggrieved coquettishness as she said, "Brother Tao, you saw what just happened. Li Wei went too far. If you don't handle this properly, I'm afraid... I'm afraid he might even make me accompany him."

Zhou Tao stood up abruptly after hearing this, his right hand clenched into a fist as he pounded the desk fiercely and cursed, "Li Wei, that good-for-nothing, I really need to teach him a lesson, or he'll think I'm as meek as a sick cat. Go contact Ah Biao for me, have him bring some people tonight and give Li Wei a lesson. I might cooperate with him in the open, but I can take my time dealing with him in secret. I'll make him realize that crossing Zhou Tao won't end well."

Lin Tianjiao also revealed a smug smile upon hearing this; Li Wei had dared to slap her bottom and made her give him shoulder massages. She had been furious.

Ah Biao was a low-ranking thug from Jiang City, who hung out with a few lackeys in entertainment venues all day and had done quite a few unscrupulous deeds for Zhou Tao before.

Setting him on Li Wei meant trouble for Li Wei tonight.

After leaving Zhou Tao's office, Li Wei returned to his own workstation to rest.

In fact, he had been paying close attention to the situation with Liu Qing for a while and had naturally thought of several countermeasures.

At three-thirty in the afternoon, Li Wei yawned and stretched, then slowly got up and walked towards the restroom.

If it had been before, Lin Tianjiao would have scolded him for sleeping so openly at his workstation.

But now, even if he slept until the end of the workday, Lin Tianjiao wouldn't dare say anything to him.

Li Wei washed his face, tidied himself up, and left the company.

He rode his electric bike straight to Liu Qing'er's son's school because this way he could directly encounter Liu Qing.

Although Zhao Jun's abilities were not as good as his, Zhao Jun's performance was still decent; he was one of the top in the Prosperous Technology Marketing Department.

That he hadn't closed the deal with Liu Qing in three months indicated that Liu Qing was a tough nut to crack.

Instead of calling Liu Qing and getting rejected, it was better to wait for her here; at the very least, he could meet her face to face and exchange a few words.

But just as Li Wei arrived at Liu Minghao's school on his electric bike, he found Liu Qing arguing with a woman and a man, surrounded by a crowd.

The woman was slightly overweight and aggressive, and the man beside her was burly. Liu Qing was clearly at a disadvantage.

Seeing that the woman was about to hit Liu Qing, Li Wei rushed forward, grabbed the woman's hand, and pushed her away.

"Let's talk this out, there's no need for violence!"

The man looked like he was about to start a fight but backed down when he saw that Li Wei was tall and strong.

"Uncle, Liu Dazhuang was the one who called me a bastard with no father first. That's why I fought him," said a voice.

Li Wei looked down and saw it was Liu Minghao speaking to him.

The little boy's eyes were moist, looking rather aggrieved.

Regardless of whether he could close the deal with Liu Qing or not, he had to stand up for Liu Minghao; otherwise, the boy could be left with a psychological scar.
