Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: World of Royalties! [II]

"Who are you? How dare you block the way! Are you tired of living!?" An authoritative voice called out. But Li Jun was too out of breath to respond to the handsome man who drove the carriage.

"I'm talking to you! Move or die?" the voice said again, threateningly urging Li Jun. Finally catching his breath, standing straight, Li Jun walked closer to the carriage.

"Stop!" the voice yelled, pulling out a long golden spear and pointing it towards Li Jun. Halting in his tracks, Li Jun made a 180-degree bow to the man standing at the carriage.

"Sir, please help me! Someone is chasing me!" Li Jun cried out, his head down.

"Hurry up!"

"He went this way!" The voices of the pursuers sounded.

"Sir, please help me! I'll die!" Li Jun cried out once more.

"Mo-" Before the man atop the carriage could speak, a deep and Mello voice spoke.

"Why should I help you?" The baritone voice from inside the carriage asked.

'Huh? Who's talking? Doesn't matter, let's escape first!' Li Jun thought.

"Well, I am a good cook and care for others well. Oh! I can also serve as your advisor! I can talk well!" Li Jun pleaded in his softest voice with his most pitiful expression, not caring about selling himself right off the bat. The man atop the carriage couldn't help but soften his expression, which let his guard down. However, the man sitting inside the carriage didn't respond. Li Jun, getting anxious, started to devise a plan.

"Where is he!?"

"Where's that thief!"

"Deputy Commander, w...we lost him!"

"Lost him!? Find him, or else none of you can go home or back to the mansion!" The Deputy Commander yelled, enraged.

'System, can't I just force my way in?' Li Jun enquired upon hearing his pursuers were just a few feet away from him, but due to the density of the forest, they couldn't see him.

"Well, host, do you want them to cut you down? Look at the man atop the carriage carrying a long spear! SPEAR! So, do you still think you can force your way in?" Pixie retorted.

'You!? This stupid system!' Li Jun seethed.

"Are you gonna help me or not!?" Li Jun questioned, enraged, as the trepidation of being captured dawned on him. Snapping out of the Li Jun trance, the man atop the carriage was shocked that his words came out as a stutter.

"H-How dare you! Do you know who's carriage this is!?" Shouted the man atop the carriage, glancing behind him. It was the first time ever someone dared to shout at him or have the audacity to tell off the one inside the carriage.

"Fang Hai. Alright. You'll work as my—" before the man inside the carriage could finish his words, an impatient and seething Li Jun was already seated within the carriage. The man atop the carriage was shock stupid, as he couldn't fathom how such a small, feeble, and inflexible person could pass him without him noticing. After seconds of realization, the man dropped to his knees with a fist to the ground.

"Your- Young Master! I deserve death!" The supposedly personal guard shouted. Meanwhile, an enraged Li Jun was fuming to himself, cursing the person who just helped him.

'Isn't it just helping someone? Why is it such a hard thing to do!? Tch! These stingy, selfish, and narrow-minded ancient people!' LI Jun thought with a pout, not paying heed to the person sitting next to him.

"Deputy Commander! The thief was last seen here!"

"Deputy Commander! There's a carriage!"

'A carriage? In the middle of nowhere?' The Deputy Commander thought. With a nod, the guard beside him walked to the front just a few steps from the carriage.

"Hey! Shuidong City's guard here! Please step aside and allow us to search. We have it to believe that you're harboring a thief in the carriage!" The guard said, showing a badge to prove his identity further. However, Fang Hai had his back turned, kneeling with his head down towards the carriage and showed no sign of responding or obeying the guard's command.

"Hey! Don't you hear me talking to you? " the guard yelled, enraged, realizing Fang Hai had ignored his previous command.

"Be at ease," the man inside the carriage spoke shortly after. Breathing a breath of relief, Fang Hai stood from his previous position and turned to face the Shuidong City guards. Fang Hai glared fiercely at the guards before the carriage, whipping out a gold badge shaped like a crown that shows an entangled Phoenix and Golden Dragon looking exquisite and supreme.

'Huh!? This is!'

'Thud!' The Deputy Commander dropped to his knees.

"Deputy Commander!" The guards called out in unison.

"Kneel!" The Commander commanded in a harsh voice, gnashing his teeth. And right after he commanded, the dozens of guards dropped to their knees instantly.

"Please forgive our insolence!" the commander yelled, his head still hanging low.

"Please forgive our insolence!" the guards shouted in unison, their heads hanging as low as the Deputy Commander's.

"Hmm. At ease. Who are you, and what thief are you talking about?" Fang Hai inquired. Raising from their knees, the guards and Deputy Commander stood at attention.

"Responding to His Grace, I am Lin Huaxin, Deputy Commander of the Shuidong's Guards. On the orders of Governor Pan, we are here to capture a thief who stole Sir Pan's most treasured sword," Lin Huaxin responded.

'So many guards for just one person. And is the Tian Jian sword of the Pan Family so easily stolen? These corrupted officials,' Fang Hai thought. As he was deep in thought inside the carriage, our fuming Li Jun was now as quiet as a lamb as he listened to the commotion on the outside. Slightly turning to the carriage window, Li Jun stretched his hands out, attempting to shift the carriage curtain, but before he could succeed, a deep and mellow voice spoke.

"Do you want to go with them?" The deep and Mello voice said. Hearing such a smooth, rich voice coated with a soothing, comforting, yet authoritative tone, Li Jun felt his hair stand on edge. Slowly, Li Jun turned around like a real thief caught red-handed, his eyes shut tightly as he prayed that he wouldn't get kicked out.

'Shit! What audacity I have! This kind-hearted soul heard me crying pitifully and decided to help, but here I am, not even showing my gratitude, nor did I once turn to look at him,' Li Jun thought, but Pixie thought the opposite.

'OMG! My host is a hypocrite! Wasn't he the one who said that these ancient people were STINGY, SELFISH, and NARROW-MINDED? Why didn't I notice this before? My! My! I must stay clear of him!' Pixie shook his head helplessly as he reminded himself to stay clear of Li Jun. On the other hand, Li Jun kept pinching his nose, trying his best not to sneeze aloud.

'Huh!? Who dares to talk bad behind my back!?' Li Jun thought as the urge to sneeze slowly died down. Li Jun slowly opened his eyes as it did and was stunned, speechless.

"W-Who is this male God!?" Li Jun blurted out. The male God before him, as if he was deaf to the ear-piercing words, stared straight into Li Jun's heterochromia eyes without blinking. Li Jun also stared into beautiful jet-black obsidian eyes that seemed to shimmer with the sun's gleam. The world seemed to have gone still as the two stared at each other.

"You haven't answered my question?" The deep and mellow voice sounded again, but this time closer to Li Jun's earlobe. Frightened, Li Jun stood up, hitting his head on the carriage roof, and as if the gods had another plan for him, his left foot twisted with his right, and he fell face-first onto the male God.

'So strong and comfortable,' Li Jun thought, his right hand caressing the male God's sturdy chest.

"Should I just throw you out to them or kill you myself?" The Male God said, his voice cold and menacing.
