Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Power of Totems and the Nano Suit

"Peter, you... no, you're not Peter," Gwen's face changed as she stepped back slightly.

Sharlo removed his mask, revealing a young face.

"I am Sharlo, Sharlo Parker, a very hands-on Spider-Man. Recently, I've run into some trouble, which is why you get to see me.

Oh, please put away that surprised look. By the way, what did you have for dinner? I can smell a faint scent of beef pizza on you, which happens to be my favorite. But you know, Spider-Man doesn't have pockets, so I didn't bring any money. Maybe you could treat me?"

"Wait a minute, Mr. Spider-Man, my head hurts a bit. Can you tell me why you saved me?" Gwen asked, holding her head, feeling overwhelmed.

Hearing this, Sharlo wiped away

the blood from his forehead, a stubborn look in his eyes.

He spoke seriously, "For myself, and also to... break the lonely fate of Spider-Man."

"The lonely... fate?"

Gwen thought of Peter's lost loved ones and the estrangement with Harry, and she understood.

Spider-Man is lonely.

It's a fate, almost like a curse.

At that moment, the roar of an approaching armored suit signaled that Sharlo had to leave.

"Gwen, it's time to say goodbye. Remember to treat me to pizza later."

With that, his figure was swallowed by the void.

This time, he had used Tony, even though Tony hadn't taken the resurrection competition seriously. But Tony could be petty sometimes, and might take action at the last moment.

He needed to leave quickly.

Soon, the armored suit landed. Tony's nano-helmet retracted, revealing a face filled with resentment.

"Where is that guy?" he asked Gwen.

Gwen hesitated, "He... he disappeared, in the blink of an eye."

Tony rubbed his forehead, "Alright, I think I've been tricked."

[You did not win this resurrection round. You are about to leave this world. Better luck next time.]

Seeing the prompt floating in front of him, Tony couldn't help but chuckle.

"Another chance?"

He believed it was a prank by the Infinity Stones.

In Gwen's shocked gaze, Tony's figure vanished as well.

However, the battle between Spider-Man and the Green Goblin continued.

——

In Sharlo's universe, at the Empire State Building's antenna tower.

"Whoo~~"

The night wind howled, and the red and blue suit flew through the night sky, with the scattered ashes gathering in the wind.

In the moonlight, the shriveled suit quickly became full again.

Sharlo opened his eyes again, finding himself back at the antenna tower "before his death." The prompt in front of him made him smile slightly.

[You have successfully won this resurrection round!]

[Reward 1: One resurrection quota (used)]

[Reward 2: Strength +10 tons]

[First-time victory reward: Nano Spider Suit (Damaged Version)]

[First-time victory reward: Spider Totem Power x1]

[Remaining re-open chances: 1 (reserved for the next resurrection round)]

He clenched his fists, feeling the explosive strength in his body.

After eight re-openings, his basic strength had increased from one ton to nearly two tons.

With the rewards from the resurrection round, his current strength was twelve tons!

Twelve tons of strength isn't particularly outstanding among Spider-Men, even at the bottom, but it would greatly help him deal with upcoming challenges.

As his strength increased, so did his overall physical abilities.

Now, looking at the additional rewards.

[Nano Spider Suit (Damaged Version): A nano-metal suit with missing functions, retaining only basic AI assistance, web glider wings, a temperature control system, a urine filtration system, and an oxygen supply system.]

[Spider Totem Power: The fundamental source of Spider-Man's power, the ultimate judgment power of fate, possessing mysterious and unpredictable abilities. Please develop it yourself.]

The mysterious power disappeared into his body, as if it had never appeared, leaving Sharlo puzzled.

Totem power, it seemed to have appeared in Spider-Man comics, but he wasn't sure of its exact use.

As for the nano suit.

With a thought, a palm-sized Spider-Man emblem appeared in his hand.

He pressed the emblem to his chest, and the nano-metal quickly covered his body, insulating him from the high-altitude cold, the nano-metal fitting snugly to his body.

Sliding down the building's curtain wall, the glass reflected the splendid figure of Spider-Man.

It was more like armor than a suit.

In the moonlight, the metallic texture of the nano-suit reflected a cold light, with golden lines decorating it, and the eyes glowing faintly blue, making it extremely conspicuous in the night.

Sharlo moved his limbs, satisfied with the cool suit.

Unfortunately, it was only a damaged version, missing the metal spider arms and web-shooting devices, not to mention the red-eye "instant kill" mode.

The basic AI assistance couldn't compare to Jarvis, only making it easier to control the nano suit, at least not hindering his web-shooting or wall-climbing abilities.

Everything was "adaptive."

This was a nano suit specifically designed for Spider-Man.

After sorting out his gains, Sharlo leaped from the curtain wall.

"Whoo~~"

The high-altitude wind howled as he spread his arms, with web glider wings extending from his armpits.

Instantly, his falling speed reduced sharply.

With the help of the glider wings, he crossed several high-rise buildings in succession and then dived into the neon-lit streets.

Amid the bustling traffic and the noisy, prosperous city, it was still the same old New York.

"Oh, what's that?"

"Spider-Man?"

"My God, he's not dead!"

"His suit looks different, made of metal."

"His suit has been upgraded, unbelievable."

People on the street exclaimed, but Sharlo was used to it.

Although he hadn't been Spider-Man for long, his actions were not low-key, and the public's attention to Spider-Man with superpowers was immense. Many citizens recognized him.

But what puzzled Sharlo was that, besides Norman, no one knew he had died.

How did these people know?

Until he returned to Queens.

117A Black Street.

Outside the window, the red and blue figure climbed up the wall.

Inside, Ben Parker and Aunt May were cuddling, occasionally laughing at the TV entertainment show.

Sharlo poked his head out, his light blue eyes narrowing slightly.

The couple was living quite well.

He breathed a sigh of relief.

Suddenly, the program ended, and Ben Parker reluctantly pressed the remote control.

On the TV, the well-dressed host smiled.

"Hi, viewers, this is Global News. Regarding the news of Spider-Man's death, we are fortunate to have an expert on Spider-Man here to provide some information."

He handed the microphone to the expert beside him.

"Ha ha ha, hello everyone, I am J. Jonah Jameson from the Daily Bugle. According to information provided by the Green Goblin, we can basically confirm that Spider-Man has been killed. He hasn't appeared for a week."
