Chapter 1 - Chapter One:The Unseen World

Alex Mason's alarm clock rang loudly at 6:00 AM, dragging him from the depths of a restless sleep. He groaned and rubbed his eyes, feeling the weight of exhaustion from yet another late night. His apartment was dimly lit by the first rays of morning light filtering through the thin curtains. The room was small and cluttered, a testament to the chaotic life of a young journalist in a big city.

Alex sighed and swung his legs out of bed, his feet hitting the cold wooden floor. He picked up his phone, glancing at the barrage of notifications from social media, emails, and news alerts. But one message stood out: a reminder from his editor about today's assignment. Reports of strange occurrences had been flooding in from the city center, and his editor wanted him to get to the bottom of the matter.

He quickly rushed to the bathroom, brushed his teeth and took his bath.put on his usual attire—faded jeans, a plain t-shirt, and his favorite leather jacket. After grabbing his camera and notepad, he headed out the door, the city already busy with activities. As he walked through the bustling streets, Alex couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching him. He glanced around but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Shaking off the unease, he continued on his way.

The city center was a hub of energy, with people hurrying to work, vendors setting up their stalls, and street performers entertaining passersby. Alex navigated through the crowd, his eyes scanning for anything unusual. He finally reached the spot mentioned in the reports—a section of wall covered in graffiti. But this wasn't just any graffiti. It depicted an angel with dark, piercing eyes and wings that seemed to blend into the shadows. Intricate symbols surrounded the figure, glowing faintly in the morning light.

The angel's eyes seemed to follow him as he approached, a sense of foreboding settling over him. Alex snapped photos and took notes, trying to capture every detail. As he worked, an old woman approached him. Her presence was almost startling; she seemed out of place among the morning commuters. Her eyes, sharp and knowing, locked onto his. "You're looking for answers, aren't you?" she said softly, her voice cutting through the noise around them.

Before Alex could respond, the woman handed him a small, worn book. "Read this. It will help you understand," she whispered, then slipped away into the crowd as quickly as she had appeared. The old woman disappearance really frightened Alex but he summoned courage and stared at the book in his hands, its cover cracked and faded. Curiosity got the better of him, and he decided to find a quiet place to examine it.

He walked to a nearby café, ordering a coffee before settling into a corner booth. Opening the book, he was met with pages filled with strange symbols and cryptic messages about angels and demons, their true nature, and a prophecy about a looming war. As he read, the world around him seemed to change—colors grew brighter, sounds sharper, and a strange energy filled the air.

Lost in the book, Alex didn't notice the shadowy figure that had been watching him since he arrived at the café. It wasn't until the figure moved that Alex glanced up, his heart skipping a beat. Standing at the entrance, cloaked in darkness, was a person with glowing eyes that seemed to see right through him.

The figure approached, their presence overwhelming. "You have been chosen," they said, their voice echoing in his mind. "The truth about angels and demons is not what it seems, and you are destined to uncover it." The figure's words sent a chill down Alex's spine, their meaning both intriguing and terrifying.

Alex watched as the figure turned and walked away, disappearing into the morning crowd. He looked back at the book, its pages now glowing faintly. He felt a mix of fear and excitement, knowing his life was about to change in ways he couldn't yet comprehend.

The rest of the day was a blur. Alex couldn't focus on anything else, his mind racing with the possibilities of what he had discovered. He returned to his apartment, locking the door behind him. The city outside seemed distant, a world away from the mysteries he now faced.

Sitting at his desk, Alex opened the book again, delving deeper into its secrets. The symbols and messages began to make sense, forming a picture of a hidden world where angels and demons were not what they seemed. They were beings of immense power, their true nature concealed from humanity.

As the night wore on, Alex felt a growing sense of urgency. The figure's words echoed in his mind: "You have been chosen." What did it mean? Why him? He knew he had to find out, to uncover the truth hidden within the pages of the book.

In the early hours of the morning, Alex finally closed the book, exhaustion overtaking him. He lay in bed, thoughts swirling in his mind. The world he knew was just a façade, hiding a deeper, more dangerous reality. And he was now a part of it.

Sleep came fitfully, dreams filled with images of angels and demons, their faces both beautiful and terrifying. He woke with a start, the morning light casting long shadows across his room. Today, he would begin his journey to uncover the truth. The unseen world awaited, and Alex Mason was ready to face it.
