Far away in a huge city, there are streets bustling with people. In one of the streets, there was young woman of around sixteen years with three male followers fawning over her beauty and acting as a security guard throughout.
"Hao shi mei, where are we going?" one of the followers asked. He was a young man in his teens with great vigor.
The girl Hao Yin ignored him and turned left to enter a tavern. The latter just coughed to cover up his embarrassment and enter with the other two followers.
"Kang Bin, Di Shu, you both stay here to guard. I will follow Hao mei inside" a lean man with scholarly look ordered the other two with a mocking in his voice.
"Grass !! What? Just because you are in top ten in alchemy in entire sect? Su Wen, don't act so high and mighty" a burly man Di Shu scorned.
"Well, you two are just biting more than you can chew. Hao mei 's father is the third elder. Think you can match that?" Kang Bin retorted.
The other two were a bit depressed after hearing this. If they had status and talent, would there be any need to fawn and still be humiliated like this?
"Don't be a hypocrite when you have similar thoughts" Su Wen look at the latter seriously.
"You know that the third elder dotes on his daughter very much and my Kang clan is still prestigious in a second tier city, not to mention this Luyou city is just a fourth tier city" the latter replied with a confident smile.
To Kang Bin, Hao Yin might just be interesting, but he never took her seriously as he was also sent like other young children from different clans to investigate something in Pure Heart Sect.
Soon the three followed up while bickering to where Hao Yin was walking. Soon they reached the third floor which was not open to any one except for people with personalized letter.
"Master Hu is inside, but only one person is allowed to go" a maid said after taking the personalized letter from Hao Yin while pointing to a room.
Hao Yin faintly looked at the other three and nodded at the maid to make her way through. The three of them could only wait outside.
"Hao Yin from Pure Heart Sect greets Master Hu" she greeted an old man who seemed very evil.
The old man looked at her with a hint of covet in his eyes but soon recovered after knowing her position. He clearly remembers that this girl's ancestors had great grace to him during the hard time he faced few hundred years ago.
Though he owes some debt to her family, he wouldn't go as far as taking too much risk.
"En, junior, have you come to redeem my favor?" he asked.
"Yes, Master Hu, can you please come to our sect as the head of alchemy section? My father sends his kind request for you to take this position?" she bowed and solicited.
'A mere low level sect dare to enshrine me as an elder? Didn't her father know who my master is?' he had disdain in his eyes.
"Oh? And he sent you with this request to offset the favor?" he mockingly asked.
She gritted her teeth and took out a parchment "Master Hu, this was given to you as a welcoming gift by my father. He also told that only you will know its value".
After looking at the parchment, Hu Bang was excited in his heart but nothing showed on his face. This map shows where my master travelled then fighting a strange woman. According to it, it seems there was some trial towards the east and both of them could not be found later.
Even though my master may have ascended to a higher realm, there is still little hope to find something where he fought that woman. But it isn't clearly not enough to tie me down to a sect.
"Lass, whatever this treasure map is, not really worth it" he mocked her while putting it away in his robes.
Hao Yin was nervous after hearing it. This was the greatest treasure from her ancestors which has been carefully preserved to get Master Hu's help one day. Both she and her father were facing problems in the sect now.
"Master Hu, don't say that. You know that there is a mysterious elder in our sect and nobody in the past twenty years could find anything about her. There are even rumors that she is a great beauty" she said with some cunning in her eyes.
Where does she know whether if it's a pretty woman? It is all pure speculation. Twenty years ago, suddenly a strange being appeared in the sect which no one could directly look at. The sect master and only the supreme elder could hear a feminine voice.
Apparently the woman wanted to stay here without any disturbance from anyone. How dare the sect master could not agree. He cannot even look at her, let alone raise any objection. He nodded his head with cold sweat and even the supreme elder was shaken to his core.
From then, it was only a rumor among the sect about the mysterious elder. No one including the sect master knows where that person stays.
Hu Bang had his master's traits and followed his path of greed and lasciviousness. This posed a challenge to him as he did not want to be tied down, not to such a small sect.
After being silent for a while, he responded "Tell Hao Yang that I will be a foreign elder and will not be restricted to the sect's rules. Only contact me when the sect needs help". He checked within his robes to give a gift to the junior as he became an elder of the sect.
Hu Bang found a pill bottle and gave it to her. "This is a highly lethal ecstasy pill and not even Gold Yuan can escape from its effect" he smirked as he felt proud of the gift.
Hao Yin though regretful of the gift, smiled and thanked Master Hu. 'Now that I made great contribution to the sect, let's see that bitch Ye Ling be humiliated in front of me' she had poisonous eyes.
As she came out of the door, the three followers walked behind her with only Kang Bin being thoughtful. Who is inside and it is so secret that even I did not know anything about his place in the city. He planned to investigate about it later.
Soon they reached a wide gate where four guards with sturdy armor and foundation stage realm were outside. When they saw that someone was arriving, they were serious. But soon they spotted Hao Yin "I have seen Miss Hao" the four responded and let them in.
Who doesn't know among the sect that Hao Yin is a spoiled rich woman and does everything on her whims. The third elder also dotes on her so much that except for the core disciples, the inner and outer disciples are wary of her.
As she was walking with the trio in the sect she could hear faint exchange that Ye Ling has been promoted as an inner disciple after breaking through Foundation stage realm yesterday.
Hao Yin twitched knowing that Ye Ling is also an inner disciple like her nevertheless with not much status and strength. She refused to submit to her and even when one of her follower Tai Xue was asked by her little brother, Ye Ling refused.
Time and time again, this Ye Ling has been getting on Hao Yin's nerves. 'How dare such a lowly person not give me face' she was angered but was held back by her father as his position was not good in the sect these few years.
Now that Master Hu has agreed to be a foreign elder, father will have no more worries with this contribution. She reached the third elder's pavilion and the other three dispersed to their abodes respectively.
Within the pavilion, in a large hall a middle aged man who looked vary handsome was disciplining a young man of around fourteen years.
"Min 'er, I have told you many times that you have to be strict and take the lead when doing things. How can you share the mission rewards equally with your team members? Those are two Ning Mei dan you found but got none of them" the middle aged man admonished.
"But father, it was found by the team members not me. How can I shamelessly grab it when it's their credit?" the young man replied helplessly while bowing his head in a low voice.
"Enough !! You are the son of third elder and with your talent and status, why do you need to even ask? They should have submitted it to you as soon as they found it" the former was angry.
"Now now father, Hao Min is still young and has a lot to learn" Hao Yin appeared while appeasing her father. The young man was instantly happy "Elder sister you are back" and sounded excited.
"En" she responded with a smile and ruffled his hair. She then bowed with respect to the middle aged man and told her that it was a success in recruiting Hu Bang as an elder albeit a foreign elder.
"Good, good daughter !! Hahaha, you are my precious charm. I wish Min 'er only had at least half the wit you possess" Hao Yang, the middle aged man was excited.
Hao Min was exasperated looking at the father daughter duo. Even after an year, he still could not forget that beautiful young woman he once accidentally saw in the outer sect. Apparently she was a follower of some sect member but refused his courtship even though knowing who he is.
