Juuko, Pitu and Chen villages on an average consist of 5000 people per each village and the festive environment is already seen among them. The respective village chiefs have ordered the warriors of their respective village to hunt for quality monster meat. The strongest of them was only Bone forging sixth realm which is enough to barely hunt a level 2 low class monster.
The cultivation initially starts with 'Warrior', 'Bone Forging', 'Qi Transformation', 'Qi Condensing', 'Foundation' and other higher realms, each divided into 9 sub realms while the monsters are classified as Level 1 and level 2 with level 4 being known as the highest monster in the past 200 years among the villages.
It is also during the time of convoy every 5 years that all three villages compete in martial strength, medical talent and merchant tactical competitions. All the three sectors hold a significant value in Henji town and hence the villagers are encouraged to choose this path towards sustainable development.
Ming Rui being the most known among the three villages for being the best healer hold a considerable authority her field and also sent herbal boys and girls to collect various herbs to trade for other herbs with the upcoming convoy. Happiness doesn't last forever as in utopia and hence Ming Rui and Jun had faint sadness in them knowing that their family might not be together after this event.
Ming Shin was born a healthy and strong baby during whose birth where heavens and earth shook and loud rumblings were heard the sky. The villagers even from the adjacent tribes note that all the birds numbering more than 100,000 have flocked to Juuko and were singing a simple and sweet hymn ~. Even the most elderly couldn't make a head or tail out of it as they bode the massive earth shake as an omen while the huge birds to be at peace and sing. When was there ever a disaster and peace together.
Ming Shin is now seven years, but already a level 6 warrior who can rival an average adult in the village. Hence both the parents were assured that Shin could handle things despite being involved in everyday fights and debates.
Shin might seem like a righteous fool to the villagers but he was more logical and had a moral compass with a bright mind since he was a kid. The earthquake 7 years ago has caused most of the monsters to stay away from Juuko village and it's been more than 10 years since the last monster attack.
It has been a week and only three more days for the convoy to arrive at Pitu village and the village chief Meng Haotian has just arrived at Chen village to meet the chief Mu Shen and then make their way to Pitu village where they can discuss the various resources amassed for this convoy and the process of conducting three exams (Martial exam, Merchant tactics, Medical exam).
Due to frequent monster attacks every 10 years, a lot of warriors and fighting would be lost among these 3 villages. Chen is the most affected village as the monsters stayed away from Juuko 7 years ago and attacked Chen and Pitu as a result.
Chen village now only has Bone Forging realm 2 as the highest where as Pitu has Bone forging peak ninth layer. Pitu is also the village with most fighting strength and known for cruelty due to most animal attacks. The kids are honed from a young age along with the adults to fight the monster cubs and gain experience.
Pitu is also the only village with a tower while all the villagers live in huts. This tower is a subsidiary of the convoy from Henji town known as Hei Pavillion. It is jointly managed by the three villages but the leader of the tower in Rin Meihun who is well versed in business tactics and can read human minds.
He was demoted from Henji town known for his cruelty and ruthlessness due to his timid nature. He values his life and business so much that he doesn't take a risk in which he isn't sure of and makes sure the culprit suffers 18 generations annihilation.
Tai Peng the Pitu village chief is feared across the three villages but even he doesn't dare to touch Rin Meihun's scales, for he knows that though the latter has been demoted, the Rin clan is said to have great prominence in the Henji town.
Tai Peng has an eldest son Tai Xun (11 years) and his cute baby daughter Tai Xue (9 years). All the people are aware that Meng Kai and Tai Xue are practically inseparable when they meet these sisters and are the two jewels in the surroundings. Meng Kai attached herself to her father to go to Pitu village and play with her sister Tai Xue.
A day before the convoy arrives at Hei pavilion, Meng Haotian paid a visit to Ming Jian's home along with Meng Kai. The adults gathered up in a room to discuss something while Shin and Kai were excited for the upcoming convoy. "Ming Jian, I'm sorry it had to be like this, but it's time. We cannot stop it this time." Haotian expressed with a heavy tone. Ming Rui had pain in her eyes " But my son is only seven years old !" with a low cry.
Jian gave a gentle pat on he shoulder " Rui Rui, it's inevitable. Let's head off to Pitu tomorrow". Jian felt like his heart was tight, but he knew their family had to face this, and this time would be no more exception.
The room was filled unprecedented heavy atmosphere. "Let's start tomorrow early to not miss the welcoming of the officials then" Haotian sighed. Leaving the room, he came to the kids and looked at Shin with pity, gently rubbed his hair and returned home.
'What's up with this old man? And why does the surrounding air feel so tight?' Shin thought. "Mom, Dad I'm going out for a walk" Shin shouted and ran out of the door. Rui became teary eyed "This little monkey, heh". Jian gently embraced his wife while watching his son jumping out with liveliness.
"Yo, Bai sheng and mei mei" Shin shouted as he spotted Bai Sheng and his sister Bai Mei (10 years). "Little brat, it's elder siter Bai for you !!" Mei smacked shin's head. "Ow Ow Ow !! sister Mei, why are you so rough? I pity who will marry you" Shin gleefully remarked. " You've done it brat " Mei started chasing shin around the market.
"Zahahah, serves him right" Bai sheng was happy as he was always at the received end of beating from his sister.
Shin and Bai Mei had fun running around when they spotted a little 4 year old kid crying for a candy. It looks like he was asking his mother to buy the candy from the shop. Both the mother and kid looked in rags and shin felt sad for the kid. "sister Mei, let's go" Shin went towards the shop leaving a confused Bai Mei in her tracks " Where are you going? And it's sister Bai !!!".
"Young master Shin" the shopkeeper was startled to see the young lord come to his shop. If Meng Kai was the princess and Ming Shin was the young lord of the three villages. They might mock shin behind, but show utmost respect when facing him.
" Old man Buhi, how are you? I want the colorful candy over there".
"Definitely young master, here it is " the shopkeeper handed it to Shin.
"Shin, stop it, why did you buy only one candy? You don't want one?" Bai Mei smirked and wanted to take the candy for herself.
" Stop it mei mei, this candy is for the kid crying over there"
"Ah?!"
"Here's the candy, now stop crying " Shin smiled and handed over the colorful candy. The kid was happy and took it. He was about to eat it when his mother beat him " Stupid kid, why did you take a candy from strangers? Would you die if you don't have a candy now?"
" Stop it, this big sister why are you beating him? I just gave him a candy" Shin was furious at the sight. " I'm sorry young master shin. I don't want the child to make a habit out of it. Today you have bought a candy for him since you saw him crying. What if my child thinks that every time he cries for something, someone will help him. I do not want my son to end up with misconception in this dog eat dog world and grow up to be a useless man" the woman cried out and asked for apology.
Shin was dumbstruck over her reasoning. Never would he have thought that the lady would give him such a profound reason which provoked his inner thoughts. 'Was i wrong? Should I not have shown pity or kindness?' were what running through his mind.
Bai Mei apologized to the mother and dragged Shin away while comforting " Shin, this world is like this. You shouldn't exceed your boundaries to help someone. If you don't think twice before you think you are helping someone, it might actually produce a negative effect. But it's all right, I definitely don't hate this part of you haha". Shin smiled at mei mei's comfort but that tactful brain of his is struggling with right, wrong, kindness and selfishness.
