Rose was led to the kitchen by Cornelia. She was left confused as she could smell edible foods from there.
She thought vampires only drank blood, what's with all the human food preparation?
"What do you think you doing going to the Master's secret study?" Cornelia asked as she handed Rose a potato and a peeler.
Rose was shocked by the information.
Secret study? So Damien was leading her astray?
"No, I didn't know that was... it was one of the brothers who led me there," Rose explained, peeling the potatoes.
Cornelia sighed. "You have to be careful, Rose. Steer clear from the master as best as you can; you won't always be saved," Cornelia took the potatoes from Rose put them into the pot, and closed them to steam.
"I understand. Thanks for saving me," Rose said, her mind going back to think about what exactly it was she had felt when Cassius held her back at the Passage.
