Chapter 5 - Chapter 4

Still alive

There were two big bouncers, in all black, with dark shades, standing outside the door with their arms folded. One had blond hair, it was short, short enough to call a buzz cut. The other Looked bored, he had fairly fairly long hair that reached his shoulders. He had a smaller build than his colleague. But still, to Leon, they were giants. "Who are y'all?" one asked, holding a clipboard to his face, reading through it to make sure he had heard their names correctly. Leon was nervous, it was clear to see. They had been out there for ten minutes trying to explain how they were invited to the party.

"They aren't budging, wouldn't it be better if we left?" Leon asked Ariel in a low tone. Ariel sighed and gave him a look that said 'we aren't going anywhere.' He was tired of waiting and wanted to go home. Defeated, he let out a sigh. "You sure you don't want to go home?" Ariel playfully shoved his face with her hand and pulled out her phone while the bouncers leaned against the door, adamant on not letting them in. "what're you doing?" Leon asked as he got closer to her to get a look.

"Give me a sec" she told him. "I need to call someone."

Luke sat with his face resting on his hand at the bar's countertop when suddenly his phone rang and vibrated within his pocket. With an annoyed look he grabbed it from his pocket and without looking at who was calling he answered and put it up to his ear. "What do you want?" he asked in a rude tone.

"Nice way to be greeted" Ariel said sarcastically.

"Oh, hey Ariel."

"We're outside and a few meat heads refuse to let us in" Ariel reported. Luke sighed and took a swig of his whiskey.

"Give them the phone." he said in a rather monotone tone, which he usually used when something was pissing him off. Before handing the phone to the bouncers in front of her she gave them a devilish smirk, handed it to them then nudged Leon playfully. The larger one between the two took the phone and stood there in silence, with his expression never changing for the period of time in which he had the phone up to his ear which was rather short. He gave Ariel the phone, grabbed a key from his pocket and unlocked the door, letting them in. As the two of them walked in, Ariel winked to the short, less built one. His expression stayed the same, she pouted and thought about how the two of them seemed so lifeless.

"Sup y'all" Riot greeted the two of them with Luke right beside him who had a drink in his hand, something he hadn't been short of the whole night which was starting to show by his inability to stand still and keep eye contact.

"Luke's drunk isn't he?" Ariel asked amused.

"Yeah, he really is, but he'll be alright as long as he doesn't drink another one of whatever he's been drinking the whole night." Riot said as he held his friend up with a playfully tired face. "Leon, you actually came, I'm kind of proud of you kid. We're going to have some fun, right luk –" and at that moment Luke passed out cold on the floor with a dumb looking smile on his face. "Dumbass" Riot remarked as he threw him over his back. "I'm going to get him to a room and hopefully he wakes up, you two enjoy yourselves, especially you Leon!" Riot told the both of them with a smile on his face as he turned to take Luke to wherever he was planning on taking him.

"Wanna get drunk?" was the first question Ariel asked, and just like that the party had begun. Throughout the night Leon was hesitant to drink. But as the night progressed he became more confident, mainly because of the alcohol and whatever was in it. After two bottles he was tipsy and after a few more, he was talking to girls, acting like he was the one who wanted to come to the party in the first place and grabbing the attention from everyone in the room. Twelve am came around, things were starting to slow down and people were getting tired, some were sick and others were completely unconscious and the weird thing is that most people in the room didn't even have that much of the alcohol given to them by the people going around offering it, who seemed oddly lifeless, like an office worker who's worked the same job all his life and lives the same old routine over and over again without no end in sight and no visible sign of change ever happening. Even in his drunken state he could tell, something was wrong. As time went by more and more people began falling unconscious. Until there were only a few people there and the amount could be counted with his fingers. He walked over to the bar and rested his head on the counter. He heard the sound of glass shifting towards him. He looked up to see a glass filled with what he had been drinking the whole night. His head hurt like hell. "What is this?" he asked as he took a sip of it. There was no answer. It looked normal and there was nothing wrong with the taste. But it was addictive and he was starting to fall in love with it. He looked around and everyone was asleep or unconscious, whichever one it was, he didn't know. He downed his drink and slammed it on the counter. "Im dunk aren't I" he said to himself. Weirdly enough, he had never been drunk before. But being in the state he was in, it felt so weird. Luke walked into the room where everything had taken place and sighed. "You're still awake!" Luke said, rather surprised. He was about to say something when he saw two men drag a dead body behind them. The body was completely bloodied, but he could tell it was Riot. His vision was becoming blurry. With a thud he fell from the stool he was on, to the cold, hard ground.

As he phased in and out of consciousness he heard Luke say "dont hurt him" What the hell was happening?
