Seo-yeon exactly like any other girl of her age was standing beside the railing of the balcony with the city at her feet. The bold lights of Seoul brought out a feeling that was similar to that of stars, something that was missing in her life most of the times. She took a deep breath again, which she realised was indicative of the just how bear the responsibility of the world now was for her. This was her empire, one she had fiercely defend to the last drop and the fighting was still very much on.

Thus, Seo-yeon who was born into the prominent Seo family was brought up in an affluent manner and was expected to live life as a woman of her status. Her father Seo Jun-ho had been a tycoon in business world and was famous for his coercive and unrelenting mentality. Since her childhood, she was prepared to become the successor of her father's company, all her actions guided, all her decisions planned.

However, there is still an influence of the tradition which is shown through power that Seo-yeon received despite the luxury and opulence of the modern life she lives but she knew well that everything has its price.

A once elegant and beautiful woman and a highly intelligent one at that, her mother is gradually reduced to a frail, helpless woman by the pressures of their world and dies early from it. This loss crystalized Seo-yeon into the steel traps inside her never to be a victim again.

Seo-yeon was a bright student and passed out from the best of the best Universities and each achievement another weapon in her arsenal. The pride is a driven woman who gain the managerial position in her father company shortly after joining the firm and assert herself as a strong corporate player. Her physical appearance mainly beauty and humility concealed her brains and hard working character hence making her a very tough competitor and a asset to have.

However, it is impossible not to notice that Seo-yeon got bored with her type of life and wanted more. She finally got the power and the prestige that she wanted but only to realize that it was accompanied by fear and solitude. She had scarce people she could rely on and nearly nobody understood her.

Her father was quite unsatisfied and Seo-yeon felt it; however, she was not the type to be labeled as per someone else's consideration. To this effect, they wanted her to form her own empire, which would even surpass her father's empire. However, to that, she required backing, backing from the big Powerfull that could help her steer clear of the unfavourable prospects that are a certainty in business and politics.

Joon-woo, a charismatic and wealthy businessman with a reputation as a dealmaker and a playboy. They firstly encounter appropriate in a fashionable charity dinner even though much earlier they had brushed past each other and Seo-yeon had sensed hatred and attraction from him.

Joon-woo had realized it and offered to work with her which, without a doubt; would change her status and firmly put her in place. Seo-yeon did not swallow everything he said hook, line, and sinker, and that was how she was wise. And then there was Hyun-soo, Joon-woo's rival. While Joon-woo looks calm, polite, and articulate, in contrast, there is a complex and minimally – developed Hyun-soo with a probable disturbing past.

He did have his personal problems that led to the destruction of Joon-woo and at times it was quite sultry how much Seo-yeon liked the passion in the man. However, in relations with Hyun-soo certain issues could occur that have not been considered before.

Seo-yeon was in the prime of her life enjoying all the comfort with enmity as reality in which even a smile can be lethal and a hand shake can be betrayal. Alone on that balcony she got the idea that the main line of her life is still to come. She would be walking on the minefield of affection, authority and betrayal and out of every action she performed, she would decide the scale of her reign.

Would she be glad in the anarchy through which she was surrounded, or would wicked streams of the heart engulf her?
