Chapter 4 - Ch. 4

RECAP↓

At this point, my spiritual energy started forming. My veins turn into a glowing purple, and my light blue energy forming my body.

My spirit floats in the sky, releasing a warm and relaxing energy. It was refreshing.

I dozed off, and when I woke up, my Cultivation Orb was gone, but my body felt lighter. And more elastic.

"That was awesome." I Yelled as I yawned.

Stretching, my body shakes. That was the best stretch I had in a while... I realized.

"I haven't slept for a day." I said to myself.

"Interesting." A man spoke behind me.

I jumped in surprise, jumping away and looking behind me.

This man Caucasian with black eyes, his hair was short and he was pretty muscular. His hair color was white, and his attire was a traditional Japanese Yukata with wooden flops.

"Hello? Kid, you alive?" The man spoke.

I just stared.

"Who are you?" I said in confusion.

"I am... ■." The man spoke, his words was filtered. Until.

.

.

.

Until. He dropped something, it was an candy? Why would I need candy? That wouldn't save me or introduce me to him, what's the point of it?

"Eat that, you need to unlock your potential." He said with a chuckle.

I looked suspicious and put it in my pocket, I'll check it later.

"Heh, I'll definitely use it later down the line!" I said with a fake smile, I decided to go back to my stoic. And calculative self, I need it. I have to be cold.

As I looked, the man smiled. His smile was... Unsettling to say the least, but it was also unreadable. What could that smile mean?

"You're only level... 1?" The man said. "But you're so strong!"

I had a look of confusion, but I didn't show that to him. What could he want with me?

So I stood up, and looked him in the eyes.

"What do you want?" I had a stoic expression now, he can see. I want an answer. Not a crappy vague response.

"...I'm here to kill you... Or more so... To take your magic and cultivation chi!" The man laughed manically.

"Tch, crap! He's already an enemy?!" I thought to myself, so I ran. But the man appeared infront of me.

I felt something poke my chest, it was a sword? But... It didn't even hurt. I looked at the man.

"I'll. Kill. You." I had hate and vile in my voice, as I coughed up blood. I realized... I'm gonna die.

"How can I die now? Crap!" I thought to myself.

My eyes went dull, my heart beat slowed down... I died.

"That's it?" I thought to myself. But then I remembered my skill, it was, regression.

All of a sudden, a blue light enveloped my body. It pulled me into the nothingness.

But an unintelligible light appeared. The light was shaped like a ball, it was gold and blue. No other features.

All of a sudden I woke up, I was at the start. At home. In my bed. "This is good!" I thought to myself, I had a full smile.

I got up and ran to the bathroom, doing my normal routine. But this time, I grabbed a pistol.

And some extra ammo, I don't know if there are going to be any bullets in that world.

"...I'm getting tired of calling it 'that world', I'll just call it... ClockWork." I said to myself out loud, I'm glad I wasn't outside. I would've gotten very embarrassed.

I walked outside, the gun concealed in my pants. I ran to work. And the same things happened.

making a left on my street. People looked at me, their stares boring into my soul. But it wasn't time to pay attention to that.

I passed multiple houses and stores, finally I arrived at my job. I was panting heavily and I was exhausted along with being tired, I looked up at my boss.

"Morning Mr. Brin, happy early birthday." I said with a smile while panting.

Mr. Brin smiled back, "thanks," he said as he laughed. It was as hearty as ever.

"Sadly... I can't stay." I thought to myself, and this time the clock ticked and teleported me faster.

"Why is it faster?!" I thought to myself in worry.

But I stood up, dusting myself off. I looked at the goblin. Pointing my pistol at it, I aim.

Everything stopped, the birds chirping, the people yelling and panicking. It just stopped... And I took my shot, there it was. The gun shot, the gun recoiled.

It hit the Goblin straight in the head, killing it.

[Player #3 "Jikan Tokei" has killed the first goblin.]

I looked at the system, and it had something different.

[You have killed the first goblin, granting you cultivation orb(3) & Magic Affinity.]

I had a look of surprise, what a boost. I took my hair out of a bun, and finally let it flow. This time. I'll be better and smarter, even if that means I have to kill someone.

I look to my left, and I see Shujinkō glaring at me. What did I do? That's what I thought. I didn't do anything wrong.

"How did he regress? Is that Jikan Tokei from ■? No he can't be... He died Infront of my eyes." She thought to herself.

She bit her nail, why was I so calm? She was confused and it seemed like... I ruined her plan.

"Weirdo." I said outloud as I stared at her but when I looked to my left. There he was. It was that guy that killed me last round.

He was looking for me, I need to run.

[Meanwhile with Shujinkō.]

"...he's already getting smarter... And stronger..." Shujinkō smirked as she spoke. "This'll be interesting." She said to herself.

Eventually she saw me running away, and she followed in the shadows by walking. She was confused about why I was running.

[Back to me.]

As I ran, I went into The City Of Clocks. And I instantly get caught by the guard robots. As I was thrown in the cages I realized.

No one can pass... Unless one is at the objective point, and everyone else gets pointed to the objective.

"This is bad... Really Really bad." I said to myself as I clenched my fist and teeth.

Shujinkō looked at me through a cell, and I didn't notice.

"Who are you... Jikan Tokei." She thought to herself, eventually she.
