"Heeey!!! Tom! Enough of that, kiddo!" I heard my mom's voice as I woke up.
"You're dreaming!" she shook me awake. I fell off my bed and found myself muttering some choice words.
"H-Huh? You alright? Come on, get up! You were out cold. You really can't let go of what happened... Oh my gosh! Get up already. Y-You haven't been taking your meds!"
"I don't want those. Last time I took 'em, I felt like a zombie. No thanks. Just give me some cash, I'm heading out."
"W-Where are you going? Back to Kate's place again? Please, honey, stop---"
"I'm leaving. Don't start with me. Just stop it," my tone shifted whenever mom brought up that incident. She couldn't do much because the first time she tried to explain it to me, I lost it and threw everything I could get my hands on. My mind went blank and I literally saw red. There's something I just can't accept, and I never will.
