Three elders sat in a comfortable room within a meeting chamber. All of them were staring at the young prince before them, who, at first glance, did not seem spectacular, but having the guts to meet with them was already something to admire.
Haldor looked at these elders sitting next to him and took a few moments to assess the situation. The dangerous eyes of these men stared intently at him, their eyebrows giving them both soft and strong expressions. The bodies of these old men exuded a natural aura of coldness and murderous toughness.
In the glimmer of the elders' eyes, there was a certain sparkle of expectation and tranquility. It seemed none of them had underestimated him, which increased Haldor's respect for these men a little more.
"I can assume that none of you leak the information you obtain here; asking about it would definitely be disrespectful to all of you. Therefore, I want to know one thing: What do you think about the situation and the future of the seven kingdoms?" By asking this question, Haldor was subtle with his words, leaving several openings to gather more information on what these elders thought.
"This is a rare and unexpected question; even if I considered that you wouldn't be like the others, you still managed to surprise me, future consort." The first to speak was Caspian Black Crow, who pointed out, "Of course, I love the current Targaryen dynasty. I live near the Lannister dogs, so what is the purpose of this question?"
"I agree with the old crow's question. What is the purpose of that question?" Alarion Harrington, who was the least sensitive about it, thought the fourth prince didn't know how to express himself.
However, Jax Ivanov, being an old war veteran, had more experience and observation skills than the stupid old men in this meeting. He understood what the question meant but didn't want to interfere for now.
"I want to know more in-depth what you think about the future of the seven kingdoms and what your biggest disappointments are. How about I start? Most of the nobles in this kingdom must disappear. Not only do many have little honor, but most of them don't know how to keep their oaths."
Haldor smiled broadly at these elders and said, "They have tried to cut off my head repeatedly, but they have never succeeded. So, since my future father-in-law does nothing about the real danger awaiting us, I have gathered you, houses of knights forgotten by the Targaryens, despite the fact that you have given life to many good knights of different eras. That is why you were called by me."
Old Jax Ivanov widened his eyes but said nothing. His hands trembled a bit upon hearing Haldor's words, and he immediately thought, "Eh? I thought he would directly ask us to join his faction to become king. I never imagined he would present such complex and delicate topics in front of three elders."
"Do you know the meaning of the words you are saying? Future Consort, I understand that you don't know who is attacking you and are desperate, but telling us these words doesn't give us confidence to continue talking about this topic." Alarion Harrington frowned and stood up with a cold expression.
Hearing Haldor's words, if this gets out to the public, they could be executed for high treason. Not even their families of knights could escape the crimes that come with talking to someone who still didn't understand the dangers of politics.
"Ha, ha, ha, I agree with those words, future consort. There are plenty of families that have been consumed by the kingdom's peace who do nothing but fornicate and drink until their kidneys fail. Tell me, What do you want from us?" Jax Ivanov laughed, feeling that subtle aura surrounding Haldor's body and dozens of eyes watching him from possibly dozens of meters away.
"Old Ivanov! Have you completely lost your mind?" Caspian Black Crow burst out, seeing how naive the old man beside him was.
"I need new families of knights who will swear loyalty to me to control good strategic areas to protect the north. I sense that in future years some houses will not continue to keep their oaths, so I will eliminate those dogs from the kingdom and give them to you."
At that moment, the stone table visibly froze, creating the seven kingdoms and highlighting the wall beyond Stark territory.
The cold made the surroundings feel a temperature that not everyone could withstand, and this made the elders, who had been experts in battles, capable of moving.
"What kind of magic is this?" Caspian Black Crow growled, still frowning and shocked by the words he had heard from this young consort.
Jax Ivanov ignored this and instead asked a more pertinent question: "Future Consort, when you say you want new nobles in other territories, are you implying you want to be king?"
"No, are you looking at the map on the table? After three months, it still hasn't been notified, but the White Walkers have reappeared in the far north, and our duty is to face them until we exterminate them. I don't want to exhaust myself too much, but if the north falls, then the seven kingdoms will be exterminated."
Haldor told them the story of the White Walkers and spoke to them about the approaching enemies and their powers. Everyone knew that the seven kingdoms were not prepared to face the Night King's army, but the Rhoynar were; they could lead the army to free the seven kingdoms from destruction.
"The Night King is the commander of the White Walkers and has the ability to control anyone in his army directly. It is understood that the White Walkers, the Walkers, are a hive mind, able to'see' through each other's eyes and feel when someone in their army dies."
"That's madness..."
Haldor then reduced the cold in the room and said, "The White Walkers have a very strong affinity for ice and cold magic. They are physically much stronger than humans, able to effortlessly throw people dozens of feet into the air. They do not require food or water, and they seem to be immune to diseases, fatigue, cold, and extreme heat."
"It is known that the White Walkers are immortal. Their arrival is often accompanied by blizzards and sharp drops in temperature. Because of this, they can spread the cold wherever they go. They wield swords and spears made of ice crystals."
"However, one of their most notable abilities is reanimating the dead as their servants, known as wights. They are capable of reviving any dead creature as wights, including horses, giants, and even terrifying dragons."
"Fortunately, it is known that they cannot resurrect a corpse if it has been incinerated. Once a wight has been created, its eyes turn an icy blue, similar to the eyes of the Walkers themselves. The Night King, their leader, has the ability to turn humans into White Walkers."
"That's why I created an army. Before living a peaceful life as the Northern Star, it is my duty to kill the Night King. So, do I count on your families to reinforce the borders in the north?"
Jax Ivanov looked Haldor in the eye and said in a cold tone, "If the future consort is willing to face the darkness and make my family as impressive as the people under his command, he has the full support of the Harrington family."
"Have you gone senile with age, Ivanov?" Caspian Black Crow snapped in an unnatural tone.
"If he promises to improve the condition of the seven kingdoms before making any other decisions, I, Alarion Harrington, will be willing to support him." Alarion also bowed, leaving Caspian no choice.
"Crazy old men, I'll kill you if we go down a dead-end path!" Caspian said, bowing his head towards Haldor.
"Good, then I will prove with actions that my words are true. So first, accept this sword, each of you, and you will see with me the prosperity of the seven kingdoms. We will advance greatly."
Haldor's eyes shone as these elders formed a knight's oath of loyalty. It was normal; everyone was drawn to his confident words and actions. No one could refuse to accept him as their lord after showing a bit of his power.
With this, he had finished signing, with his incredible skills, a more powerful faction that would not depend on the seven kingdoms and would ensure that the crown of his future wife could be reclaimed if it were usurped in any way.
