The old man had an affinity to space, a super rare affinity that is not easily seen no matter where you go, it will always be hard to find people who have it, and it was something I definitely wanted.
My alternate self, as well as the branch of soul magic, he left many branches of other rare types of magic that I am also learning and from among them spells and consequently space runes, are among the ones I usually practice.
Space spells, or rather the runes that make it up are some of the most difficult and complex, but it was worth it because of how useful they were and an affinity would be extremely useful and this old man definitely had it at least in A or so my alternate self deduced.
But I knew that the old man was the second strongest after my father in the kingdom and it would not be easy to outrage him, no matter how drunk he was.
