The moment the second young master of the Sharma Family entered the premises of the hospital along with the little master and an unknown girl, a few staff looked more shocked than the others. It was not a hidden fact that the Sharma Family was blessed with God-gifted heavenly genes. After all, who had not seen the cold young master of the family? He was always regarded as an immortal who descended to the mortal realm. He looked Stoic, had an aura that especially made people afraid of him and, at the same time, they could not help but feel attracted to him.
Meanwhile, the second young master was rather aloof and charmed. His face was always beaming with a smile and people were crazily mad over his smile.
Seeing the second young master in front of their eyes along with the little master who looked exactly like a copy of his father, a few female staff felt their hearts pounding inside their chests. However, what set their hearts on fire was the sleeping fairy on the stretcher who had an ethereal aura around her. Even though she was unconscious and her face resting silently, the crowd could not help but keep glancing at her, hoping to borrow some of her beauty.
The attendant doctor along with his team paid attention to the three of them. Avinash Sharma looked at his nephew, who did not kick up a fuss and instead allowed an intern to examine him. For some strange reason, he felt this was mostly because of the lady who helped his nephew when they were trapped in the elevator and his eyes glanced at the stranger, his heart filled with gratitude.
After the preliminary check-ups, he sighed a breath of relief knowing the little treasure was completely fine. After all, his nephew was the apple of everyone's eye, and he only knew how badly he would get beaten up by his parents if there was even a scratch on the little boy.
But he was still worried about the girl who had fainted from shock and exhaustion as per the doctor's suggestion. She was injected with fluid and, despite everyone's request, Abhishek decided to wait for the girl to wake up. A few minutes later, his brother arrived at the hospital and even though Aakash Sharma seemed expressionless to the outside world, he knew how worried his brother was.
Thankfully, he did not get an earful. Aakash thoroughly checked the little boy and then nodded at him. He only realized he was holding his breath until he saw his brother nodding slightly and then exhaled loudly.
As if sensing the tense atmosphere, Aryan pulled his father's fingers and tried to distract him. His little action successfully captured Aakash's attention, and he looked at his son who was staring at someone. This was the first time Aakash looked at the third person present in the room who laid unconscious on the bed. Her angelic face seemed to contain all the beauty of this world as it was enough to mesmerize the viewer. He felt something strange inside him as he looked at the sleeping beauty and couldn't seem to avert his gaze from her.
**********
When Maya opened her eyes, the night had already passed and the morning sun was shining brightly. The first thing she saw was a man lazily sitting on the chair with his eyes closed, presumably asleep.
His long legs were casually crossed and the slim-fitting tailored suit enhanced his broad shoulders and slender waist. His black shirt looked slightly disheveled with a few upper buttons opened and his slender neck clearly shining in the bright morning light. The man looked like he was bathing in the sunlight and Maya felt her heart beat increase.
As if sensing the lady's gaze on him, Aakash lazily opened his eyes and sat up straight. His eyes were staring at a pair of eyes which seemed deeper than the ocean. At first, he was just looking, but soon his gaze became intrusive and piercing, as if he was trying to see through her, as if he could see something beyond her face.
The man's chilling stare pierced Maya's bones, and she felt uncomfortable as if his gaze was invading her privacy. However, she was not the one to take anything lying down, so she returned his chilling gaze, unwilling to surrender.
Aakash let out a small chuckle, feeling the boldness of her and his deep voice resonated in the room.
"Thank you for saving my son. I heard how you protected him, and I'm grateful to you."
The man's deep voice caused a stir in Maya's heart. She inhaled a deep breath and calmed herself down.
"There is no need for gratitude. I only did what I should have done. If it is not a problem, can you tell me how your child is?"
"Well, why don't you feel for yourself?"
Maya raised an eyebrow at the man's reply and then followed his line of sight to find a little soft ball sleeping beside her. Her heart instantly melted when she saw the child curling up beside her.
"Cute... soo cute."
She gently patted his small head, ruffling his shiny black hair, and a gentle smile appeared on her lips. It had been so long since she felt this relieved and emotional. She wanted to shower the child with hugs and kisses but prevented herself from doing so.
Meanwhile, Aakash felt some strings being stirred inside his body. For some reason, he felt this lady was treating his son very affectionately. In fact, he sensed a familiar longing in her eyes and the way she gently smiled reminded him of a certain person.
He had never thought he would see that same gentle smile in another girl's face. Unknowingly, he continued to stare at her and Maya felt his gaze and stopped her action.
"Um... thank you for everything Mister... ?"
She waited for a while before Aakash introduced himself.
"Thank you for everything, Mr Sharma. I hope I was not too much of a burden to you last night."
Shit... as soon as those words came out of her mouth, she was embarrassed. It sounded so wrong and so dubious. The man's chuckle made her more ashamed than ever, and she tidied herself up.
She did not say anything and spotted her shopping bags on the chair. She was about to pick up her things when the door of the room was opened, and she spotted another handsome young man who had two glasses of coffee with him.
"Thamk you.. Thank you so much Miss for yesterday."
Avinash's face filled with a smile and his tone gentle as he expressed his gratitude.
Maya did not say anything as she nodded her head and picked up her things. The Sharma brothers offered her a ride, but she gently rejected them and continued on her way. Once out of the hospital, she felt the fresh air calming the uneasiness of her heart and she booked a taxi for home.
Meanwhile, Avinash looked at his brother, who was lost in a daze.
"Brother, what's wrong?"
He whispered, afraid of waking up the little treasure.
"Nothing. This girl, she feels strangely familiar."
That one sentence from his brother and he suddenly felt a chill down his spine, noticing the frightening calm smile on his brother's face. After all, he knew his brother rarely smiled, but whenever he did, it was not a good sign at all. He did know what happened between his brother and the beautiful girl before he arrived, but considering how that girl saved the little treasure, he only prayed for the safety of the girl. One had to know his brother was a big boss in the film city and held a very powerful position.
Aakash Sharma was like an old emperor, his calm and cool aura often frightened people and if someone ever crossed him, that person would be finished before even starting.
"Find out about her."
The ray of hope that was flickering in the second young master's heart was blown away by that one sentence, and he silently prayed for that girl again.
