Seth's point of view
I was heading downstairs, going through my phone and when I heard the loud voices of my parents yelling at eachother again.
There are at it again,This is the reason why I hate being in this house, I thought and proceeded downstairs,
"You don't want me to go out or do anything I love, what do you want me to do????,Stay at home and be a complete house wife???" I heard mom yelled.
"Yes, If that's going to stop you from going after other men, Then yes" Dad yelled back.
"Well, Too bad I can't stop going out and for your information I'm not going after other men." Mom said and placed her hands on her waist.
"Oh Really??? , You and I know that you are going out with different men in this town, Everyone is beginning to talk" Dad said.
"I don't think that's any of your business,Let them talk, Like I care??"Mom fired back.
"Like you care??, at least think about our kids, What do you think people will say, what if people start pointing fingers at them???" Dad said.
"Well, I don't care, They are old enough to know whats going on by now" Mom said and walked away.
"Don't you dare walk out on me Odessa" Dad yelled and went after mom.
I sighed and went to the fridge to get water,
"Seth" I heard a tiny voice call,
I turned and saw that it was my sister, Viviana.
"Hey, Apples"I called and walked up to her.
Well, Viviana is my only sibling, Our parents gave birth to only two of us. And believe me she's the best sister ever. She's actually the reason why I'm still in this house or else, I would have left this house long ago.
She's 14 years old this year and looks alot more matured than her age. She is really beautiful and brilliant and she loves me alot.
I actually gave her that nickname because, she loves eating apples alot.
I noticed because of mom and dad unending quarrels, she's been going back alot in her academics and that worries me alot seeing that they don't even plan to stop anytime soon.
"Seth.. Mom and dad are at it again", she said with a sad face.
"I know Apples" and what did I tell you to do whenever you start hearing them quarrel??? I asked.
"You told me to put on my headphone and lock myself in my room" She said.
"That's good, So what are you doing downstairs??, Let me guess,You came to get apple right?? " I asked.
"Yes,I came to get some cold apples from fridge" She said with a pout.
"Ok then, I'll be in my room, Apples" I said and was about to go when I heard her muttered a "oh no" I immediately turned and asked what's wrong.
"I can't find any apples in the fridge" She said almost crying.
"Hey, don't even think of crying" I said and she immediately wiped her tears away.
"What if we go out and get some apples??" I said and she immediately shrieked happily.
"Go upstairs and change I'll take you out and we'll go get more apples" I said.
"Ok Seth, I'll go change and be down in a sec" she said and ran to her room.
I smiled at her and was about to go upstairs when mom came back downstairs already dressed up,
"Hey Seth,I'm going to somewhere important,I'll be back before evening so take care of your sister", she said and walked away.
I stared at her backview as she left the house, That's what she always say, She doesn't even care about anyone in this house but herself.
I really hate her for that, Dad is just unfortunate to have a wife like mom, I thought and walked upstairs.
EVENING 9:00pm
The Jones mansion
Sandra's point of view
I had just eaten and laid on my bed,I stared at my room and chuckled. I was beginning to miss my room.
I sighed and turned to the other side of my room, I brought out my phone and saw that Hope had nor returned back my calls.
What wrong with her??, She's really acting different. Should I tell her about my plans to swap with Alicia or not,I thought.
No, If she's really my friend she'll Know that something is different about me and confide in me, After all I don't even understand the attitude she's been giving to me of recent. Or is something wrong with her parents or her???, I should call her again,I thought and brought out my phone.
I dialed her number and it rang at first but she didn't pick up, I tried it again for the second time and she picked up at the last ring.
Hello, Hope??" I called but didn't get any response at first,I was about to repeat what I just said when I heard her say,
"Hi, Sandra", In a tired voice.
"Are you okay you sound tired" I said and I heard here sigh and muttered a "I'm fine".
"What's wrong???, you haven't been picking up your phone and you didn't returned back my calls" I said.
"Sorry, I was really busy" She said, I was waiting for her to tell me what she was busy with but she didn't say any other thing.
"Busy with what??" I asked,I heard her inhaled and said,
"I told you I was busy, Sandra, And I don't think you should know why I was busy, We'll meet in school on Monday" She said in a somehow rude voice and with that she hung up on me without even waiting for me to say anything.
"Wait, Did she just hung up on me???,what wrong with her??" I asked staring at my phone.
Well, Thank god I didn't tell her about me swapping or anything.
We'll really meet in school on monday indid, I thought with a sigh.
I was about to drop my phone when my door opened,knowing who would open my door without knocking I didn't turn.
"Hey baby?" Mom said.
I turned to her with a frown and muttered a,
"Good evening mom"
"Good evening, baby" She replied and stroked my hair.
"Sorry, I and your dad weren't around for dinner" she said.
"As if you're always around for dinner" I muttered, And I'm sure she heard me.
"You know that's not true honey" She said.
"Really mom, when last did you have dinner with us" I asked.
"Common, "Sandra", You know it's because I'm busy with work" She said while I just kept on staring at her.
"Actually that's one of the reasons why I'm here, I and your dad will be going to Italy for a month for business tomorrow " She said and I couldn't help but scoff.
"You mean that's the reason why you're in my room now" I said and she just kept on staring at me.
"We'll be back next month,Your elder brother will be the one to take care of the company here" She said but I didn't say any other word.
"Sandra" She called but i didn't reply,
"I want to sleep now mom, I'll love it if you leave" I said and turned my back on her.
I heard her muttered a "goodnight honey"and left my room.
She's not always at home because of work,work and work. well, It's a good thing she's travelling to Italy.
At least, I'll also not be around during that period and I wouldn't worry about her finding out that I swapped with someone,I thought and covered myself with the duvet.
