It was a normal day for Leon Kaiju.
Go to work and be stared at for his skin tone, getting random whitening cream from coworkers and such.
He thought life in Korea was going to be fun and adventurous..
Yet he was hit by the bitter truth when he landed out of the airport.

At least he has snacks and the Gym to keep him company .
You might be wondering who he is..
Leon Kaiju, age 23 .
Race : part Caribbean and part Korean.
His parents moved to the U.S for a chance at a better life when he was 4.
His big sister, Kana was 17 years old at the time and was almost done with high school.
She decided to stay with her aunties instead and finish her education.
He has learned Korean, Papiamentu (Yes this is a real language) and English since his parents wanted him to keep his heritage.
He graduated when he turned 22 and moved to Korea immediately after.
The one year spent in Korea to get used to their schedule and to get a steady income.
But today became a happy day.
He finally managed to get contact with his big sister !
Well not really since her daughter picked up the phone first.
But he he was freaking happy.
He knows where his big sister is now after all these years.
And he has a freaking niece !
A NIECE !
He was so happy he went to call his parents in a cafe, making sure the place was as empty as possible.
He always got weird looks when speaking papiamentu so he does his best to avoid them.

The phone was filled with surprised cheers and applause .
They kept switching languages due to how happy they are and both of them wished to see them as soon as they get a chance.
Sadly they can't come to Korea due to how much a plane ticket now costs.
Along with the storms that's been happening dad wouldn't risk going on a plane.
He happily finished the call and went to meet his big sister after all these years.
He looked at the address and looked at his phone, checking if he was at the right place.
Knocking on the door he saw a Korean man at the door.
( Since I don't know Korean and I'm too prideful to use Google translate I'm going to do this instead :3 )
" Who are you ? "
He asked while looking at him with suspicion.
" I'm Leon Kaiju, is Kana Kaiju here ?
I'm his little brother "
Leon answered while showing a family picture.
" Ah...
You're the blackie's son , come on in ."
The man said and Leon took of his shoes.
He brissled at the nickname they have given his father.
' His name is Rayen !
How hard is it to remember his name ?!'
Leon thought when he entered the room.
And in the living room she was.
Kana.
He can recognise her shining dark brown eyes and her mole near her nose.

Why is her skin so pale and where are her curls ?
" Big sister ?"
The confusion on Leon's face must have been clear since Kana hugged him quickly, as if to distract him.

He was saddened yet glad to see his big sister after so long.

Leon tilted his head at the misgendering but was dragged away before he can ask about it.
Leon was brought to the dining room and was given an apple.
" Dinner is almost done , so please wait a few minutes. "
Kana said and Leon nodded.
" I can wait 20 minutes with ease big sister , how has it been for you ?"
He asked while peeling the apple.
" Life has been good, wait I haven't introduced my husband yet.
His name is Atsui ."
Atsui waved at me and looked a little surprised to see Leon actually peeling the apple.
He quirks an eyebrow and Atsui's surprise was hidden from his face.
And then downstairs came the voice of my niece.
" Mom ?
I heard that my uncle was coming t..."
She looked at Leon with surprise and Leon waved his hand.
" Nice to meet my niece after so long , my name is Leon.
I'm the one you picked up the phone for."
She looked at him with surprise and nearly started to cry.
Panicking Leon went to approach her but Kana stopped him.
" This is my son.
Akinu.
He's is a sensitive boy so no need to worry. "
Leon noticed the small bristle that 'Akinu' made when Kana spoke.
And that was all it took to find out the truth.
'My big sister grew to be what she hated...'
Dinner with her was nice.
But by the Lord above it felt terrible at the same time.
He saw bruises on his niece's hands.
" She's hurt.
What happened to her ?"
Leon asked with genuine worry.
" Akinu here got a B- for his math test this week.
How can he expect to get a good job in the future with such low grades ?"
Kana started to complain and disgust was on Leo's face for a second.
He of course got tons of asswhoopings as a kid.
That's expected but for getting a B- on a unimportant test ?!
'What type of woman has my big sister become ?!'
He thought and soon it was time to leave.
He has a night shift to do..
Before he left he secretly gave 'Akinu' some bandages and a small tube of numbing cream.
Seeing her smile a little lit a small fire in his heart.
Maybe this was the protectiveness to look out for others.
Maybe this is just the feeling of doing something to help others .
He put on his shoes and went to his office to work.
Around midnight he saw a star fall from the sky.
He remembered the childish things he did, such as wishing on a shooting star.
So he stood at the balcony and wished one more time.

He smiled as the star disappeared from his sight.
He then went back at work, not noticing that his phone accepted a random notification.
