The anger in Winter dissipated as soon as she left the room. She didn't just want to see their faces.
"I didn't eat enough breakfast now" Winter grumbled touching her belly. She had left the room angrily forgetting about her rule of not going hungry. But the faces and behavior of the father and son disgusted her making her lose her appetite. As a pampered child she didn't feel any of this hardship. Her only problem is her identity as an adopted daughter and the other reason.
The maid left her back at one point when she didn't notice.
Winter went to the hall she saw the secret passage and didn't bother to look for the maid. The maids provided to her has always leave whenever they want and she didn't care. She doesn't have maids in her house and she certainly don't want one now.
The guards in the hall shuffled away from her whenever she approached, they had all heard what Prince did to someone on her behalf and didn't want to become the next victim. The person is still suffering in pain planning her revenge.
Winter placed her hand on the wall while walking. She dragged her hand on the wall feeling the smooth wall.
A smile appeared in her eyes as she walked along.
She walked into the garden. The flowers in the garden have bloomed showing beautiful array of colourful flowers.
"Atchoo" she sneezed heavily and walked back into the house. She is allergic to pollen and the bright colours of the flowers is blinding to her. For someone that loves black and white it is very nice she didn't reject the colors of the jewels around her in Prince room.
The guards had all looked away from her. They felt even keeping their eyes on her will warrant the wrath of the crown prince. She seems to be someone very important to him.
Winter cut the edge of her dress into a short one. That long frill has been a hindrance all day.
"Hello beautiful lady" A man approached her.
Winter eyes flickered and a bright smile appeared in them. Even though she does not like him she is very happy to see him now.
The man wore a mask covering his lower face, his sparkling multicolored eyes gazed deep at Winter with an unknown emotion swirling in them.
"What?" Winter asked getting down to the point.
Last night when she was walking down the hallway someone bumped into her and placed a note in her hand. She had looked at it and saw only one word.
Distraction.
She had caused a distraction yesterday night keeping Prince busy and the queen. She was informed about a secret of the queen which can easily destroy her!
She had utilized that a bit but not much, the remaining value is for later!
A cold light flashed in her eyes once that thought passed through her mind.
Devon cracked a smile in his deep eyes.
The secret passage will come in use in the plan they are formulating.
Yes they! Devon, Nyron and the rest of their group is here to take her all in different positions around.
They had entered her room about five in the morning to just give her a briefing of what they are planning.
"Go up to the room we are waiting" Devon replied vaguely and turned away.
Winter pursed her lips and went back up to the room. This morning she had asked them about what kind of creatures these people are.
Some characteristics about them is different from other creatures.
Like their orange eyes, earlier today when Prince got angry his irises turned orange and a faint orange smoke emitted from his body. Or at the party when the father of the rude girl got angry his whole eyes directly turned a deep orange color.
Their feature after transformation is also odd. It was about one midnight when she noticed. She didn't sleep properly due to the nightmare and woke up to look out the window.
She saw a guard outside transform into some sort of humanoid beast!
He had features from different creatures only with some major additions like the creepy orange eyes, animal like claws and strangely he became more... handsome. She didn't know how that motion drilled into her head but it stayed deep in reminding her of that.
She later sensed some kind of gas been emitted by the transformed guard and thinks those two are related.
She went to Prince room and has expected saw the group of people sitting neatly.
Winter locked the door behind her and went to take a seat of her own.
"Mm" A gust of wind flew towards her and she is firmly secured in a tight hug.
"Am relieved now" Nyron's trembling voice sounded beside her ear.
"I promise you I will never let Devon pick you up again, I will always pick you up" he said with a little squeeze.
" Sit down" Winter gritted her teeth. He just had to squeeze her that tight, doesn't he remember he has super strength?!
Nyron released her reluctantly and sat beside her but still held her hand tightly.
Devon glanced at the two hands lightly and something passed through his eyes.
Nyron noticed his stare and glared at him.
His eyes saying' you lost my little friend, and I haven't beat you up for that?!'
"It's good you are still alive" Nisha said indifferently.
Winter"..." Big sister if you will lie can you at least not let your eyes be that bright?!
"It's true" Claire winked at Winter with her signature mischievous smirk.
"Hello" Harry said.
Winter noticed a slight change in his voice and raised a brow.
'another personality?'
"Okay let's get down to business" Tobi said, the pleasantries were a bit much for him already.
"Yeah about what you sent us, te answer will shock you" Nyron smirk made Winter puzzled.

"According to our history books there are seven creatures with six been supernatural. Witches, vampires, merpeople, fairies, werewolves and superhumans"
"Well...what everyone knows is wrong!"
"There is an eighth creature, the seventh supernatural"
