Chereads / Apocalypse - I, the Strongest Villain! / Chapter 34 - Trip to the Supermarket

Chapter 34 - Trip to the Supermarket

"Master, I'm not injured, I have..."

"Have what?!"

Stel jumped off the bed and rushed to Elsie's side.

His first priority was not to check on Elsie's safety,

But to see if she had been bitten by a zombie.

If Elsie turned into a zombie, she would no longer be of any use here,

And it would be best to throw her out as soon as possible.

Throwing her downstairs before she turned into a zombie would give the zombies below something to feast on.

"I'm on my period..."

"Period? What period!"

Stel was confused by Elsie's words. What could cause so much blood?

Did she think a blood transfusion pump was involved?

Wait!

Stel suddenly recalled that during their relationship,

Elsie often called him insensitive.

He never considered women's needs.

Back then, Elsie would frequently argue with Stel about her periods.

Stel realized the red liquid was exactly that!

So that's what it is!

"Get up quickly!"

Stel told Elsie.

Elsie's face darkened.

She was inwardly frustrated.

If I could stand up, I would have done it already!

Why would I need your help then?

Though she cursed him inwardly, Elsie maintained a gentle demeanor on the outside.

"Master, I... I... I'm so sore and numb, I can't move."

Can't move?

Why didn't you say so earlier!

Anyone else would think you were laying an egg here!

"Hold tight!"

Stel slipped his arms under Elsie's knees and back,

Lifting her up firmly.

He then carried her to the bed in the next room.

Anyway, he slept in the bedroom bed, and Elsie on a mat on the floor.

That bed wasn't used much.

If it got dirty, so be it.

"When you can move, take a bath immediately. The smell is terrible!"

Stel frowned and said coldly.

But the puddle of red on the balcony needed to be cleaned up.

Stel grabbed a mop and uncharacteristically started doing housework.

In fact, when he and Elsie were together before,

Stel did all the housework.

He was quite adept at it.

After Elsie ran off with Tyler, Stel lived alone and took care of all the housework himself.

In no time, he cleaned up the mess on the balcony.

Stel walked into Elsie's room,

Giving her a cold glance.

"Can you get up now?"

There was no concern in Stel's tone, only a commanding interrogation.

"Master, I'm afraid I still can't..."

Elsie bowed her head deeply.

She had caused Stel a lot of trouble this time and feared he might be furious.

"By the way, I need to go out for a bit. Do you need anything?"

Go out again?!

Elsie's eyes widened in shock.

Last time, Stel had risked his life to shut off Bobby's water valve.

It was a miracle he survived!

How could he be planning to go out again after just a few days?

And with the number of zombies increasing downstairs, wasn't he afraid?

"Master..."

Elsie began to voice her concern,

But Stel's cold stare silenced her.

"Shut up. I only asked if you needed anything, nothing else."

"…!"

Stel's words made Elsie's hair stand on end.

She knew she couldn't dissuade Stel.

She had to go along with it...

"My period might last a few more days. If you could get some sanitary pads..."

"Sanitary pads, got it."

Stel planned to check out the supermarket near the apartment building.

He was tired of eating canned food from the car.

Since he knew the zombies wouldn't attack him, why not use this ability to gather more supplies?

"Bang!"

Stel slammed the door on his way out,

Making as much noise as possible.

Unlike the past few days, when he had been careful not to alert the zombies to any noise from upstairs.

Most of the zombies on the third floor had already been cleared by Stel.

Occasionally, a few would wander up to the third floor,

But they were not a significant threat.

As long as the zombies couldn't get into their apartment,

They were safe.

A zombie wearing a jacket staggered as it walked.

"Damn, even as a zombie, you're still so cocky!"

Seeing this zombie, Stel felt irritated.

"Smack!"

He slapped the zombie hard across the face.

The force was so strong that the bony zombie was sent flying off the third-floor corridor.

"Thud!"

The zombie's fall caused a loud noise,

Attracting the attention of many nearby zombies.

Stel peered down,

Then snorted coldly.

He continued walking down the stairs.

There were quite a few zombies on the second floor, but there were no more survivors.

The day Stel killed Bobby, he had gone through and knocked on the doors of all the apartments on the second floor.

He had almost confirmed that there were no survivors in the other rooms before he left.

When Stel reached the bottom of the apartment building and stepped out the door,

He was immediately confronted with a sea of zombies.

If it weren't the zombie apocalypse, such a scene would put some celebrity concerts to shame.

"Damn! I didn't think there were so many zombies when I was upstairs. How did their numbers grow so much?"

Stel couldn't understand it.

But since the zombies wouldn't attack him, no matter how many there were, Stel didn't care.

"Hissss—!"

With barely enough space, all the zombies were tightly packed together.

Some zombies even became stepping stones, trampled underfoot by others.

There wasn't a single patch of empty ground around the apartment complex.

Stel looked up and spotted the supermarket across the street.

"Good, there aren't many zombies over there..."

He pulled out his steel knife and began cutting a path through the crowd of zombies.

"Swish!"

With each swing of Stel's knife, a zombie was killed.

Heads and bodies separated,

Rolling to the ground like balls.

"Damn, these zombies are so damn annoying!"

After about twenty minutes, Stel had cut a path through the horde of zombies as if mowing a lawn.

Stel successfully exited the community gate and stepped onto the street.

The entire street was eerily silent.

A few broken-down cars were scattered around.

Their exteriors charred and burnt.

Some zombies were trapped in their seats by seatbelts,

Struggling endlessly.

Corpses of the dead were everywhere.

Stel could imagine the panic that engulfed the city in the days following the zombie outbreak.

A large truck lay overturned on the ground,

Blocking one end of the street.

On another part of the street, a few zombies stood scattered.

Stel crossed the street and walked straight to the store's entrance.

The store had a rolling shutter door.

However, Stel was puzzled.

The last time he saw this supermarket, the door was open.
