Chapter 20 - Ch 20: The Forest Clash

When Rons dungeon troops march, it couldn't be hidden from the goblins, as the dungeon troops was massive in size. With towering figure leading.

So, when getting closer, the goblin scouts already found them, and send massage to there respected captains in charge. In this way, there leader also get the news. Then it begins to deploy there troops, to prepare for the clash.

(3rd Person view)

The dense forest of Darkness was alive with tension. Its trees was tall and ancient stood witness to the impending clash between two formidable forces.

The goblin tribe, numbering 2,000+ strong, had fortified their positions with crude barricades and low wooden walls, with some spike on them, readying themselves for the battle that loomed.

Led by their leader of this tribe a goblin shaman, who was named Grix. The goblins prepared for what they believed, to be a decisive victory, as when they get the news, the Intel provide that, vest numbers of their monstrous foes, were in lower Rank then them, only some powerful ones that was in charge.

As, they were outnumbered, but there shamen was a cunning creature, it was imploded defenseive counterattack. It has made, those that can use long range, sit in the back of the wall, and have melee troops situation in the front, to sprung most of the damage.

It believe that, they could win it against all odds, it also station the goblin riders out of the wall to the side of them. It is to attack the opponents back, as riders have higher mobility.

On the other side of the battlefield, the dungeon monsters horde gathered in a clearing.

Their ranks were immense: 2,000 slime creatures, led them their king, their gelatinous bodies shimmering ominously; 2,000 giant rats, with there own Rat King their eyes gleaming with malicious glean; 500 Giant wolves, their growls reverberating through the trees; and 200 Earth Bears, massive and formidable, their claws and teeth glinting in the dappled light.

Each force has their leaders leading the charge, some were hidden back in the army, to give command, and some are there to give buff's. Most notably was the Slime King and Rat King. They each has group enhancement, so they also start to give there respected blessing.

The battle began as the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows over the forest. The goblins, led by their shaman, chanted incantations and prepared their crude weaponry.

Grix, with his staff raised high, summoned dark energies to enhance the goblins' strength and fortify their defenses.

As the monstrous forces surged forward, the forest erupted into chaos. The goblin archers, situated in the back of the main force, fired arrows coated in venom that do extra damages, aiming at the advancing monsters.

The slime creatures, moving in undulating waves, absorbed many of the arrows with their viscous bodies, pushing through the arrow rain, and the makeshift traps if the goblin defenses. Because of there physical immunity, those type of low end defense, didn't do much to them.

They cleared the traps, so the more advanced troops can get to the front line. When they have the chance, they also fire there represent elemental skill.

Although not very powerful, it did manga to wear down some goblins, as to help decrease the numbers a bit.

The giant rats charged into the fray, their numbers overwhelming the goblin front lines, but those goblin benign of a higher level, still manage to hold on for some time.

Their sharp teeth and claws swipe through the goblin ranks, deal substantial amount of damage, when the front rat uses skill, then they retreat back, to let others use there skils also, with this they can reduce the time to wait for the cooldown. This make it that they are using skill indefinitely.

The goblin warriors also fought back valiantly, to do some damage but were soon overpowered by the sheer ferocity of the rats.

Seeing the giant rats tactics, goblin shamen also decided to employ this, but can't match up to the giant rats, as those rats can use underground tunnels, that was being built, before the clash, as a core for this hit and run tactics.

The other side giant wolves, with their pack mentality, flanked the goblin defenses, their powerful jaws snapping at anything that moved. They disrupted the goblin formations, this way it was easier to scattering them and making them easy targets for the bear's.

The earth bears, with their immense strength, smashed through the goblin fortifications. Their roars shook the forest, and their brute force crushed any resistance. Goblin defenders who tried to hold their ground were thrown aside with enough force and send them flying like ragdoll.

Despite the ferocity of their resistance, the goblins struggled against the sheer might of the monsters. The battle was brutal and relentless. The goblins fought with every ounce of courage they had, but the numbers and power of the monsters were overwhelming, that they previously looked down upon.

Grix, the goblin shaman, fought valiantly from the rear, casting powerful spells to bolster his forces and strike at the monster's, with it's powerful spels and skills.

He summoned balls of flames and send it towards the dense crowd of monsters, it was to weaken the monsters a bit. It also use it's powerful fire skills to reduce the pressure, but his magic could only do so much against the relentless tide.

Even if it wasn't to, it couldn't. Because once the shaman was trying to reduce the numbers, and help its side. From the monsters side, some powerful metal type monsters it didn't seem before come forward , the other party seems to use some kind of wapen, and do more damage toward the goblin.

This make the shaman, focus it's attention to them, or the goblin will have more problems. It also ordered it's subordinate, who were more powerful then the normal goblins. They are the captain or leader of the goblin troops.

With this the second round of the battle begin. As both side, let ther represent leaders fight each other. This makes, the fight even more fierce then previously.

As the night wore on, the battle's toll became apparent. Goblins fell in droves, their bodies littering the forest floor.

The monsters forces, though suffers casualties, not seems to have any pressure on them. But on the other side, the goblins, they begin to get push back, making it more easier for the monster army. So, seeing this monsters pressed on with unyielding determination.

After some more times, goblins defenses start to crumbled, and their ranks were decimated. The one that made the most valiant effort, was the goblin riders, they charge and block the most powerful and agile, Giant Wolf army. If not the goblins demise will be more faster, than that is now.

In the final moments of the battle, Grix with many goblin leader's made a desperate last stand. They are unleashing powerful skils that briefly halted the advance of the monster's.

However, it was not enough. The monsters, despite their losses, pressed their advantage and overwhelmed the remaining goblins.

Although Goblin Shaman was a Tier 1 monster, it was still get overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of level 100 dungeon monsters that Ron send.

Because of the previous fight with the Wolf King, that was also a Tier 1 monster, Ron bought a new skill, that gives his monsters some extra stats, during the final clash.

By dawn, the forest was silent. The large goblin tribes members lay defeated, their forces were wiped out.

The monsters, though victorious, had paid a heavy price, losing 80% of the total combat units. The ground was strewn with the bodies of both goblins and monsters, a testament to the fierce battle that had just taken place.

The forest, scarred and bloodied, with many bodies slowly devolving. It was indicate of being now part of the dungeon influence.

This was the reason, that dungeon monsters and goblins bodies are now converting. With this the final victory goes to Rons Unlimited Labyrinth.

It can be said to be the most exciting, and blood pumping fight, Ron ever witness. This also make him, although don't like to fight very much, still it makes him look forward to future clash of this caliber.

The monstrous horde, though victorious, had lost many of there powerful leaders, the 10 Golems Ron send, to deal with the goblin shaman, 6 of them get destroyed.

The goblins were no more, their shaman's final cry, make the end of this massive battle. This battle last over 10~12 hours. Not as big as those massive scale wars.

But none the less it was a huge clash, for Ron and for his dungeon. When the battle was over, Ron send the remaining monsters toward the a direction.

In that direction, there was also a large battle, not as large as with the goblin tribe, that has a total numbers of 8 thousands total troops. Most being his Monstrous army, that totaling in 80% of the quota. The remaining amount of the of thousands monsters, not set toward the fighting that was going now.

When the Great Goblin War that Ron now call it starts.

Where Ron send most of his monsters, but didn't send one of his army. That was the goblin army. Although not very powerful, but it was still still one of the 2nd large army legion he had.

Ron send them toward the opposite direction, from the main battle. It was to let them expand his influence in other areas. But they encounter a big problem there.
