Chapter 50 - Will the Comic Still Predict?

Does anyone want to know what will happen in the future? Few can say no.

The future is fragile. Maybe a small difference will change the entire world. Do you want to be abandoned by reality? Just go buy a copy of Marvel!

Before you know it, Marvel Publishing has left the realm of comics and entered a more mysterious domain.

Information has always been one of the most important strategic assets, and for some inconspicuous details in the future that could change the world's trajectory, no one will skimp on those ten bucks.

To handle the surge in purchasers, when the government licenses the sale of Marvel comics, major bookstores have been given extra temporary sales points to help manage the crowd.

I'm John, a reporter, though not a particularly successful one. I've never dug up any decent news since I started my career, but I'm not easily discouraged. I believe that if I work harder and pay more attention than others, sooner or later, I'll catch my big break.

The birth of Marvel has firmly grasped my heart, and I feel that it could bring me unexpected benefits.

Since the announcement of Marvel's latest comic release, I've been eagerly waiting for its official launch. The early bird catches the worm, after all. Through sheer determination, I've managed to be first in line at the bookstore.

"*Iron Man* Comic Book 3," I said, barely able to contain my excitement.

Once I got my hands on the comic, I rushed to a nearby café to dive in.

For reporters, our experiences are richer than those of ordinary folks. Many in my profession never viewed Marvel as serious news, whether it was about prophecies or my buddy Jason's bold claims.

As I turned the pages, I focused intently, afraid to miss any detail.

The comic's protagonist was unchanged. The first half depicted Tony Stark grappling with the fallout from a recent press conference—his stocks plummeting, facing ridicule from the press, and nearly losing control of Stark Industries.

When Tony humorously asked about the size of Pepper's hands, the narrative took an unexpected turn. It revealed how he relied on the reactor in his chest, using it to power his full-body armor.

Tony then suited up in his steel armor and flew to a village under attack by terrorists, effortlessly dispatching dozens of them.

However, on his way back, the military's radar detected him, and fighter jets were dispatched to intercept what they believed to be an enemy.

The jets opened fire, engaging Tony in a fierce battle. In the chaos, one jet accidentally struck Tony, causing it to crash as it lost a wing.

Thanks to Tony's intervention, the pilot—unable to deploy his parachute—managed to escape.

Ultimately, the military held a press conference, denying any wrongdoing and claiming it was merely an exercise gone wrong.

At that point, the third volume of the comic came to a close.

After finishing the comic, I rubbed my temples. While everyone else seemed uplifted by the story, I was left with a headache from overthinking, so I began jotting down questions on a notepad.

After downing several cups of coffee, I walked through the city streets, lost in thought.

*Iron Man* comics differ from those featuring Captain America. The Captain's tales are rooted in the past, appealing to fans eager for a fresh take on the superhero theme.

But with Iron Man, the selling points are prophecy and authenticity, with Tony Stark as the central figure—everyone is paying attention to him.

Whether it's Stark Industries ceasing weapons manufacturing or the newly designed armor, Tony is undeniably the focus. The most intriguing aspect of *Iron Man* comics is that the plot remains largely unknown to others.

"Will these events really come true?" I mused, replaying the comic's content in my mind.

In fact, it's not just me wondering. Many people are curious: will this comic still predict the future?

Is the content here genuine?

Did Tony Stark truly concede like that? Stop pressing charges and let Jason draw him?

Doubt lingered in the hearts of countless readers.

At this moment, the buzz surrounding the third volume of the comic was just starting, and it had barely been an hour since its release.

Then, breaking news swept across the airwaves: the military was going to hold a press conference!
