Mark's father, who was sitting behind the dining table, looked at the empty seat and asked, "Where is Liam?"
Olivia, who was sitting next to her father, answered: "He is still asleep."
Her father said in annoyance: "It's two in the afternoon. What kind of sleep has he had so far?"
Mark, who sat at the other end of the table, said: "Didn't I tell you that he doesn't care about anything?"
Olivia said angrily: "At least he's not like you, always fighting with me."
Mark said with a smile: "I'm entertaining you. If I wasn't quarreling with you, I would've felt bored."
Olivia said as she took a little from her plate: "Boredom is a thousand times better for me than one quarrel with you."
Mark laughed and said: "Because I'm always the victor in this fight?"
She pursed her lips narrowly and didn't answer him , he was about to say something if it not wasn't for the sound of the home phone ringing getting louder and Mark's father said as he continued eating his food: "Mark, answer the phone."
Mark smiled and said while looking at Olivia: "Olivia, answer the phone."
Olivia said angrily:" Dad asked that of you."
He said sarcastically: "You must comply with your older brother's orders."
She said defiantly: "You must comply with your father's orders."
Their father said angrily: "Don't you even respect my presence anymore?"
Mark got up from his place and exhaled sharply: "I will answer the phone, dad. There is no need for all this anger. I was just joking."
Olivia said in a low, angry voice: "Your joke is very heavy."
He went to the main lobby, where the telephone was located, to pick up the receiver and answer, saying: "Hello, who is speaking?"
The other party asked: "Is this the house of Mr. James Lane?"
Mark replied, "Yes, this is his house. Who is speaking?"
"I am Henry, his brother."
Mark said: "Are you really my uncle Henry?"
Henry said with a faint smile: "Yes, and who are you? Mark or Liam?"
Mark smiled and said: "I am Mark, uncle. How are you? We haven't seen you for a long time."
"I'm fine, would you call your father?"
Mark was surprised that he wanted to end the conversation with him quickly, but he didn't think about it for long and said calmly: "Okay, I will."
he turned to where his father was and shouted loudly: "Dad , uncle wants you on the phone."
His father got up from behind the dining table that occupied a corner of the hall and asked, "Which uncle do you mean?"
He said it as he approached where Mark was standing, while the latter answered while looking at his father: " uncle Henry."
His father stopped suddenly, astonished and surprised. His brother Henry hadn't called for a long time, more than a year and a half. His calls were limited to work-related matters, or some important matter. Something must have happened for him to call him. And he continued on his way.
He picked up the phone from Mark and answered, saying: "Hello Henry, How are you?"
Mark shrugged his shoulders indifferently and walked away from the place, while Henry answered coldly, saying: "Fine."
Mark's father said as if he was accustomed to this tone from his brother: "How is Angel?"
At that moment, Mark stopped walking, Angel?? Does his uncle have a daughter? He did not know this until now. He was surprised that his father didn't talk about his uncle Henry in particular.
He was surprised by this estrangement between his father and his uncle. He furrowed his eyebrows. He still stood there, listening to what was being said.
On the other hand, Henry said calmly: "This is what made me call you."
James, Mark's father, was confused he said : "What do you mean? Did something bad happen to her?"
Mark's eyebrows furrowed more. Now he understood from this conversation that there is a girl named Angel and she may be his cousin and his father is talking about something bad as if she might be hurt at any moment, but, why?
Despite himself, Henry said sharply: "Angel is fine. There is no need to wish her to suffer anything bad."
James said calmly: "Henry, You know very well that I am not like the rest of your brothers and I'm the only one among them who opposes what they think about your daughter. Isn't this true?"
Henry said, with the intensity of his voice had calmed down: "This is why I chose you in particular. But I know very well, my dear brother, that if they had asked you for anything to harm my daughter, you would not have delayed, You can't refuse them a single request as they are your partners, right?"
James said indifferently: "It's no use talking to you, despite everything i did for your daughter twelve years ago."
