Chapter 22 - Chapter 21: The contents

"Teacher Lycca! Can you tell us what we'll be learning and when we can fight zombies?" I turned to see who asked.

Oh, it's Aki. He's 8 years old. I don't really like him. Since he learned about the Zombie Apocalypse, he's been too excited about zombies. Uncle Peter likes him because Aki is eager to go outside the walls and fight.

"I want to know too, What's the difference between our classes and the older kids' classes?" Zach asked.

I was curious as well. This time, Teacher Kame stepped forward, took a chair, and sat in front of us.

"Since you all want to know, here's what we've planned. So listen carefully, kids," Teacher Kame said, pulling out a small book.

"First! This building has three floors, and you are divided by age. The third floor has kids aged 6 to 9, the second floor has kids aged 10 to 11, and the first floor is for kids aged 12 to 13. For easy understanding, 6-9 years old is Level One, 10-11 years old is Level Two, and 12-13 years old is Level Three."

"The subjects you will learn include safety, recognizing danger, teamwork, basic survival skills, communication, problem-solving, staying calm, and basic first aid. When you turn 10, you'll be placed in groups based on your strengths in Level One," Teacher Kame continued.

Teacher Lycca displayed our lesson content on the projector.

"We'll put this information on the classroom bulletin board so you can check it anytime," Teacher Lycca smiled, and we nodded.

"Next, let's talk about the differences in the lessons for the older kids. Right, Zach?" Teacher Kame asked.

"Yes, Teacher," Zach replied.

"Once you turn 10, you'll move to the second floor, which is Level Two. In Level Two, you'll be categorized based on your skills as Support Healers, Defenders, Survival Experts, Team Leaders, or Builders. When you're 10, you'll learn to work as a group! At 11, you'll start exercises suited to your category."

"Wow! So at age 11, you'll teach us basic fighting techniques?!" the others exclaimed.

I was about to ask that.

"Yes! At age 11, you'll do exercises like running, jumping, and more to help you. In three months, we'll start teaching you fighting techniques, like boxing and self-defense. By age 12, The Level Three you'll be able to use weapons like guns, katanas, and bows and arrows—whatever you can handle."

As Teacher Kame finished explaining, the classroom buzzed with excitement. We murmured.

"I can't wait to use a gun!" Aki shouted, his eyes sparkling.

"Imagine shooting a bow and arrow! That sounds amazing!" other kid replied, bouncing in his seat.

"I want to be a Team Leader and lead us into battle!" another kid exclaimed, clenching his fists with determination.

Seeing their excitement, I'm also excited! I wanna learn using Katana like Ms. Ajena!

" What weapon will you use BJ? " Reed asked to me

" Katana of course! Like Ms. Ajena " I said

" That'll suit you, Mine is Bow and Arrow "

" How about you guys? " I asked and Thame looked worried

" I think I just want to be a support , You know something like a doctor " She said

" That is fine , Thame " Az

" What about you Az? " Thame asked

" Katana "

Hey! That's mine! As i about to shout at him ,Zach speak tsk.

" I'm gonna be the best sniper... And you Roseann? " He smiled

" Well, I want to use long range and short range weapon. Maybe a Knife and Gun "

" Whoa! " We react, That would be cool!

" More like Dagger " Az said

" Yep! "

Teacher Kame raised a hand for silence. "I love your enthusiasm, but let's talk about Level Three. This is for kids aged 12 to 13. When you reach Level Three, you'll learn Weapon handling and mastery of it. "

The kids listened intently as Teacher Kame continued. "After you turn 14, you'll move to another building where you'll put everything into practice. There, you'll learn how to apply your skills in real situations, including going outside the walls."

Gasps filled the room. The thought of stepping outside sent a thrill through everyone.

"Wow! We'll actually get to go out?" I whispered, wide-eyed.

"Yes! But you must be ready," Teacher Kame said seriously. "It's not just about using weapons. It's about survival and working as a team."

The murmurs grew louder as the others imagined the adventures ahead.

"Each of you will have an important role. Remember, it's not just about fighting; it's about working together to survive."

" Teacher Please explained us about the categories in Level two " Thame said

"Alright, Thame, I'll explain the categories for Level Two," Teacher Kame said. The room fell silent, and everyone leaned in, eager to learn more.

"First up are the Support Helpers. This group includes Medics and Communicators. Medics are essential for helping the injured; they know first aid and can treat wounds when things go wrong. Communicators are responsible for relaying messages between teams, ensuring everyone stays connected during missions."

"Next, we have the Defenders," Teacher Kame continued. "Defenders are crucial for protecting our community. They are split into Long-Range and Short-Range fighters. Long-Range fighters use weapons like bows, crossbows, and firearms to engage threats from a distance. Short-Range fighters, on the other hand, might use knives, swords, or even melee weapons to protect us up close."

"Wow! I want to be a Defender!" other kid shouted, raising his hand.

Teacher Kame and Teacher Lycca laughed and then continued.

"Then we have the Survival Experts," Teacher Kame said, pointing to the next slide of the powerpoint.

"This category is vital for gathering resources and navigating the world outside. Foragers search for food and supplies, while Navigators read maps and find safe paths for us to take. Finally, Resource Managers keep track of all our supplies and equipment, ensuring nothing goes to waste."

"Building a strong community is also essential," Teacher Kame added.

"That's where the Builders come in. They are divided into Constructors, who build walls and houses, and Repairers, who fix things that break. Without them, we wouldn't have a safe place to live."

Teacher Kame paused to let the information sink in. I felt a mix of excitement and nervousness.

"And the most important category is the Team Leaders," he said, emphasizing the words.

"Team Leaders guide their groups, making decisions and ensuring everyone works together. Their leadership is key to our survival, especially when facing challenges outside."

" As you progress through the levels, the most capable individuals will be chosen to lead," Teacher Kame replied.

"Your performance in Level One will determine your category in Level Two."

" In Level Two, you'll learn to work as a group and practice skills suited to your category," Teacher Kame assured us. "It's all about teamwork!"

The classroom buzzed with excitement again. Everyone started talking about their hopes for the future.

"I want to be a Navigator! I'll find us safe paths!" other kid declared, pumping his fist.

"I'd love to be a Resource Manager! Keeping everything organized sounds fun! Like Daddy hehee! "

"Remember, when you turn ten, you'll be tested based on your skills and teamwork in Level One," Teacher Kame reminded us. "This will help us decide which category suits you best."

I wanted to train hard and prove to Mom and Daddy that I will protect them and this Base.
