Chapter 14 - Need to find a Bride!

Mumbai Criminal Zone...

Inside 'A' zone, the sectors are like villages. The 'A' zone has 13 sectors in total, and the 13th sector is the biggest and the center of all other villages.

The clock hit 10 p.m., and people stood in large groups at house number one in Sector 13. A middle-aged man sat outside in an old chair. A mob of hundreds of people stood around him, which contained both males and females.

Every member of this group has a green coloured demon tattoo on their left arm. The middle-aged man who sat in the chair is Das's uncle. Ironically, he only has one arm. His other arm was scarified for Das in the past.

All these people are waiting for Das. Three hours passed since the reporting time, and no one knows where Das went. In all these years, Das never got late for reporting time. That is why everyone is guessing that something might has happened.

"Chief, let's ask the commissioner to trace the Supreme. There is definitely something wrong. Otherwise, Supreme won't come late intentionally." Lambu, a fat, dark guy with a scar on his face, requested Das's uncle in a hurried tone.

But Das's uncle sat silently while thinking deeply about something. He is also worried about Das's safety. But he decided to wait another hour before taking action.

An old ambassador came to stop before the iron gates of the criminal zone, which were protected by an electric field.

The guards hurriedly pulled the leaver to open gates for the demon supreme. The commissioner came out of the control room in a hurry to see Das. Warden Desai is also eagerly waiting to hear the reason from Das.

Das's car came to a stop beside the commissioner, and slowly the glass window was pulled down.

"Is everything alright, Supreme?" The commissioner asked while observing Das. He was taken aback when he saw Das in dazzling clothes. Even warden Desai wondered when he saw Das in those fancy clothes.

"Nothing serious." Das replied while staring back at the commissioner.

After a deep pause, the commissioner nodded his head and took a step back. Das's car moved forward, rushing towards sector 13.

Warden Desai felt disappointed as he couldn't find the reason for the delay. He thought Das went to a big function or pub to enjoy the night. But Das's dazzling appearance left everyone in suspense.

Meanwhile, a loud uproar took place in Sector 13 with the appearance of Das's car in sight. Loud laughter filled the air as Das got out of his car. People began making more noise after seeing Das in such glittering clothes.

"Hahaha... Supreme, did you go to the party?"

"Supreme is so handsome in these clothes!"

"Supreme, we thought you encountered a danger. But we never expected you to enjoy a party." Lambu spoke in a loud tone.

More and more people joined the fun and began making comments about Das. As Das came to stop before his uncle, the middle-aged uncle with one arm stood up from his chair and touched Das shoulder.

Unknowingly, his eyes turned moist. "Thirteen years... After thirteen years..." Before he said anything, Das stopped him with a head shake.

"Chief, after seeing Supreme in these clothes, I feel Supreme is ready for marriage. Why don't you find a girl for supreme?" An old lady uttered with a wide smile.

"Uncle, if you're okay with it, I'm ready to marry your nephew." Suddenly, a 22-year-old girl named Reena came forward and stared at Das with a shy smile.

Das's uncle laughed loudly after seeing Reena, who is a regular visitor. Apart from Das, only Reena calls him uncle in the criminal zone. She always tries to impress Das and his uncle by passing good food and helping with house chores.

Since the day Das saved Reena from the 'B' zone thugs, she has been pestering Das to marry her. Almost everyone in 'A' zone knew about Reena's pestering. She won't even let other girls approach him.

"Everyone, it's already too late. Leave now." Suddenly Das spoke in a serious tone.

The laughter stopped in the next second, and everyone left without uttering a word. Das usually doesn't use a serious tone. But when he is serious, the entire 'A' zone will become dead silent.

Including Reena and Lambu, everyone left for their homes. After two minutes, only Das and his uncle were left alone outside house number one.

"What happened?" Das's uncle asked while staring at Das's face.

"Uncle, I have many things to tell you. I think it's for me to leave this place." Das said while staring at the horizon. Several thoughts are running in his brain, and Das wants to make a decision tonight.

"Are you sure? Should I call my daughter to sign surety?" Das's uncle asked with an excited look. In all these years, he asked Das to leave the criminal zone. But he never expected Das to take this decision suddenly.

"Don't disturb her. I'm not ready to face her now. Also, I need time to think more about it. Rest for tonight. We will talk tomorrow morning." Das replied before walking inside the old home.

His uncle stayed outside for a long time. He also began thinking of the dangers Das might face by going outside. After long thought, he released a deep sigh and walked towards the small dining table inside home.

Inside, Das had already begun cooking dinner. As it was too late, he picked few eggs and began scrambling them. His hands moved skilfully as he worked on the old gas stove.

Suddenly, Reena opened the door and came walking inside without asking for permission. She directly placed a food box on the table and began serving the uncle.

"How many times have I said not to bring this hotel food?" Das said while turning the curry.

"I didn't bring it for you." Reena spoke in a modest tone while adding chicken curry to the food plate.

"Didn't your manager scold you for taking parcels everyday?" Das asked with a questioning look.

"Hmmhh… My manager is a good-hearted woman. She won't mind it. Also, I've been working at the same place for years. She trusts me more than anyone." Reena replied with a proud face.

Ignoring her words, Das held the curry bowl with a cloth and served some egg curry on his uncle's plate. Only after tasting the egg curry, the uncle begin eating food brought by Reena.
