Isabella swallowed hard, feeling suffocated by the pain in her heart, caused by her foolishness, making her immediately bow her head with tearful eyes.
"I don't know. Is this all because of my foolishness, or maybe I'm just not worthy of being loved," she said sadly. "I wanted proof of seriousness from a man who never really wanted to show it... Time and again, I saw signs that he was never truly serious, but I kept thinking maybe he just didn't have the means. I just kept thinking positively," she continued.
Hunter sighed, then lifted Isabella's chin, making her look up, revealing her beautiful but swollen face.
"You're a good girl, and you're worthy of being loved. Joe... he's really lucky... But if he keeps leaving you in this position, then he's not good for you. You're precious, you deserve someone better than him," he said.
