Chapter 1 - Among us 1

A luxurious cruise ship is sailing through the waters somewhere in the southern section of the Indian Ocean. Given that Christmas is just a few weeks away, the majority of the passengers were millionaires and billionaires who were on vacation.

Only about 50 passengers and 150 crew members are on board the "Roshni V," a ship that can accommodate up to 1,500 people on a single voyage, as the entire ship is rented out by elites who have gathered from all over the world for their regular gatherings where they mingle, socialize, and conduct dubious business while they head towards the Maldives.

Since this is where they network, practically all elites are either present or have sent aides.

.

On the seventeenth day, at dusk, a submarine that had been tracking the cruise ship for nearly three days surfaced from the water on the port side, where ten individuals dressed like crew members were the only ones waiting patiently and cautiously, occasionally surveying their surroundings.

After the submarine fully emerges and tags alongside the ship, the people on board lower a rope ladder to the submarine's side. A few minutes later, forty armed men wearing full military gear exit the submarine and continue to climb up the rope ladder.

As soon as the forty men entered the deck, the leader of the armed men removed his walkie-talkie from his vest, ordered the submarine to submerge, and they swiftly surrounded the control room.

Meanwhile, some of the men moved toward the lower deck, where the majority of the passengers were gathered, enjoying a party without realizing their impending demise.

.

While the captain and his assistant were idly examining their control panel, the control room door was kicked open, allowing seven armed men to storm into the space where fifteen crew members were present.

They yelled as they aimed their automatic rifle.

"Hands up, above head."

The fact that they are dressed in all black, complete with military boots and pants, makes it obvious that they are serious about their work.

The ship's captain, Rober Ryce, gives orders to his men while cursing his bad luck. Out of the seven intruders, one person stands out.

He commands two of his men to tie up their captured crew, speaking in a high-pitched voice.

With haste, the two men bound their captives' hands with zip ties and led them to the center of the room, where they made them sit in front of three armed men while their leader took off his black balaclava or mask and sat on the empty chair in front of all the other captives.

His mask covers a face devoid of a left eye, where a bullet scar still resides. This could be frightening, but when he speaks, that is when the first lives are taken. "Are you in charge? The leader spoke in a high-pitched voice that was not appropriate for his face, build, or anything else.

"Bring me all the list of the passengers who board this ship right now," he said.

At that point, one of the crews that was seated in the middle of the floor with the others started to snicker.

A late-teenage man who was unaware of the circumstances.

The man laughs at their captors' voice, but as soon as Snickers' sound stops him, he lurches backward like a bullet from a pistol that still has its suppressor in place.

Since they are not accustomed to blood baths, the other crew members are horrified to witness the killing taking place in front of them; some even lose control and start throwing up.

"Am I making a joke out of all of you? The man with one eye and a bald head declared, "One more needless sound, and one of you will not live to see another day again."

The leader of their captors, pointing a gun at the captain of the Roshni V, said,

"And brings me the list of the passengers on board quickly," after the commotion subsided.

Rober Ryce, a man in his early forties, has been at sea for nearly twenty years, having spent nearly ten of those years sailing in the Indian Ocean. It is evident that he is frustrated.

But not in any of the ten years that he has been in command of the ship, lest pirates like these people board it without permission.

It was his final journey and his final time steering the vessel. Because the majority of the passengers are millionaires and billionaires, many of them are traveling with bodyguards and guards following them, so he was not prepared for this kind of situation to arise.

He did not want to follow orders, but since they were being held at gunpoint and he had family, he was forced to comply, just like the majority of the crew.

Raising his head silently from the floor, he made his way to his desk and opened a small, thick book from the drawer, placing it in his chest pocket. He also pulled out a registry that contained a list of every passenger.

He asked the pirate leader as he handed the register to him. "Who are you? Why did you act in this manner? "Who am I? As he peers into the register and pulls a fountain pen out of his vest to circle out a few names, Kidd responds,

"I am Kidd!... the King of these seas, and I am here to purge the trash that has been washed out into my domains."

Following his examination of the register, Kidd got up from his seat and gave me the order to dispose of the body in the sea as a warning to others not to try anything goofy.

Then he left the control room and descended the stairs to the lower deck, where his goons gathered nearly every passenger on the ship.

.

Before saying anything, Robert waits for Kidd's footsteps to stop entirely.

"Did you guys not know who was on board this ship? Can you guys bear the repercussions?" His taunt went unanswered by the six pirates left to guard them.

Robert realized that things could not go on this way and that some sacrifices would have to be made in order to inform the other boat, where all of the bodyguards were sailing, of what was going on inside.

He moved slowly in the direction of the desk's corner, attempting to sever the zip ties. However, things are not quite that easy because they quickly discover what he has been up to.

Two pirates lift him up from his seat, holding onto his arms as they do so, and carry him out of the control room and down to the lower deck.

He glanced over at his desk, where he had placed a Christmas picture of his wife and daughter, who were in their early teens, and his crew in the control room, and he prayed that this would work just before they left the room. As the two pirates lead Robert to their captain, he dashes towards the railing of the first deck and leans forward before falling face first into the chilly Indian Ocean as bullets rain down from above, some of which penetrate his back.
