Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: The Future

"So this is the Sharingan huh…"

Alexander's perception increased to a level he'd never experienced before. Everything around him moved a lot slower, All five senses became more prevalent. The wind hit his face, the cold surface of the mirror he was leaning on, and his warm hands touched the area around his eye. Alexander felt his saliva sloshing around his mouth, his heart steadily beating every second, and the blood rushing throughout his veins and concentrating in his head. Alexander also smelt the burnt wood and gunpowder in the air from the nine-tails attack.

On top of everything else, Alexander most felt the strong, abundant energy inside his body, Chakra. The chakra sensation was unlike everything else, It felt like having electricity constantly running through you, and Alexander tightened his fist in pleasure.

"Wow…This is different." Alexander whistled.

"I can see now why Kakashi didn't try as hard to grow stronger....this is a fucking cheat code. And I also see why most Uchiha's are as arrogant as they are…power such as this would make anybody go."

"Thankfully I'm not most Uchiha or Kakashi at least fully…the Sharingan is nothing more than a tool to me…and right now it's hampering my success.

Alexander pulled back his headband covering the sharingan once more.

"I've done what I can to prepare for now…tomorrow morning I'll enact my plans. I guess I'll also find out if this is all a dream too."

With that, Alexander closed his notebook, placed it on top of his drawer, shutting off the lamp, and closed his eyes.

Chirp!! Chirp!!! Chirp!!!

The sun shone through the window of Kakashi's apartment and beamed the face of a pale-looking boy.

Hugh- Gasped Alexander waking up from his slumber. Looking around Alexander found himself in the same place he was yesterday. Getting up he walked to the mirror and sighed.

"Yup…It's fucking real."

Rubbing the eye crust out, Kakashi inspected his room as he never got a real look at it yesterday night. The bedroom was in the shape of a rectangle with 2 short sides top and bottom and the two longer sides on the left and right side. The door was at the bottom in the middle of the shorter sides. In the bottom-right corner was the large mirror. Right next to the mirror on the longer right side was the balcony, and just next to the door on the right side was the closet full to the brim with clothing and ninja gear.

On the top left was a simple mattress with a green shuriken cover. Across the bed was a table and chair meant for work and doing writing assignments. Memories of writing anbu mission reports surfaced in Alexander's mind. Alexander looked to where the light was coming from. Stretching across the entire upper wall just above his bed was a giant rectangular window, with a windowsill stretching alongside it. Stepping closer Alexander started to examine what was on the windowsill

On top of the windowsill were multiple books all with a very familiar cover.

-Make-Out Paradise.

-Make-Out Violence

-Make-Out Innocence

-Make Out Tactics

"Wow, Kakashi was a really big fan of these books…I didn't know half of these existed" Snorted Alexander.

Right next to the perverted books were two photos. One of the photos was of course 'Team Minato.' Picking it up, Kakashi dusted off the picture and held it. Looking he felt a deep sensation within himself to cry but he held it back. The second photo was a picture of young Kakashi and Sakumo Hatake. Looking at the picture a few memories of a young Kakashi and Sakumo popped into his mind. Unconsciously tears fell from Kakashi's eyes tapping on the photo like raindrops.

Wiping away his tears Alexander put back down the photo.

"I guess Kakashi's influence is still strong in me." Said Kakashi as he wiped away his tears, placing the photo back on the windowsill.

"Unfortunately there's only a sparing amount of memories Kakashi still has of his father." Sighed Alexander.

"That's a shame I'm really curious about Sakumo and his life, especially Kakashi's birth mother. She wasn't prevalent or even mentioned in the show, which is a pretty weird detail to leave out for one of the most beloved characters in your show."

"Whatever I'll find out soon enough…" Said Alexander undressing.

It was early in the morning and Alexander had already spent too much time mopping about and not getting freshened up. Looking at his now undressed body Alexander felt a little uncomfortable. Multiple stitches, bruises, and cuts were all over Kakashi's body. Even though Kakashi had defined muscles, they were skinny muscles and Kakashi's body still looked frail and malnourished. Probably since Kakashi had been on multiple long-term Anbu missions and his eating habits were of concern.

"Yeah…we're going to have to change that." said Alexander, grabbing his notebook and writing 'buy groceries.'

"I'll need nutrients and protein to fully develop this body of mine and have it reach its full potential…but that's enough I stink and need to show."

(8 minutes after the shower)

Alexander dried himself and opened the closet.

"Hmmm…should I keep the mask?"

"Nah, It'd raise too many flags and it's just not in Kakashi's character ... and while this mask is cool, it's also suffocating. I don't know how the fuck Kakashi did it throughout his entire life."

"I'll probably stop wearing it later on but for now it'd be a terrible decision to change so much about kakashi, regardless if it's my body now."

With his thoughts firm, Alexander examined the closet. Grabbing some boxers, a fishnet undershirt an all-black t-shirt, and jogger-style pants, Kakashi's memories and a few scenes in the show had given him the information of what to wear. Although Alexander did feel a bit weird about not wearing socks, come to think of it, nobody wore socks and Naruto. Shrugging Alexander grabbed his ninja headband and left his bedroom.

Opening the bedroom door, Alexander stepped out using Kakashi's memories as he navigated the home. The apartment was a two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, Kakashi used to share it with some of his anbu partners but they'd been dead or moved on from Kakashi as the other bedroom was empty.

The house had six main parts. The two bedrooms with their balcony, the two bathrooms, the living room with its own balcony, and the kitchen.

Whistling Alexander made his way around to appreciate the apartment.

"Kakashi had some deep fucking pockets…holyyyy shit."

"If I had an apartment like this in my previous life I don't know what I would have done."

Kakashi made his way over to the kitchen quickly fixing himself up a meal. Some tea, leftover fish, and rice that was heated for consumption. Wolfing the food down Kakashi washed the dishes, wiped his mouth, and exited the building flying down the stairs.

Finally being outside and walking in the streets of Konoha was surreal, but the atmosphere and the level of destruction sucked away any positive feeling that had risen up. The sky was covered with gray clouds and not a peep of sunlight shone through. Not to mention almost everybody who walked past or saw was wearing the same garments as himself, an all-black outfit.

"OI KA-KASHI." Came an amazingly loud yet macho voice from Alexander's right. Turning his head Alexander saw a teenage boy come rushing towards him, his speed was so incredible Alexander didn't even see him, but that particular voice was too iconic and too ingrained into both Kakashi and Alexander's anatomy.

"Oh, it's you, Guy." Jason looked at the boy standing in front of him. Guy looked exactly like how he did the anime and front Kakashi's memories except he was younger than at the start of canon.

'Wow, he is the spitting image of Rock Lee.' Thought Alexander.

"Hmmmmm, you seem a little different Ka-Kashi." Said Guy placing his hand on his chin, it looked like he was using all his brain power his eyes fixated on Kakashi.

"Well, I didn't get much sleep." Sweatdropped Alexander.

"You sure," asked Guy leaning forward as if using a magnifying glass,

Pushing Guy away Alexander replied, "Yeah...I'm fine Guy…let's go to the funeral…we'll be late at this point."

"Well Ka-Kashi, my eternal rival, let's race to see who gets to the funeral scene first."

Alexander rolled his eyes. "I can see why Kakashi thought he was a handful, regardless Guy was one of my favorite characters in the show. At this point of the series Kakashi was in his emo-arc and his treatment of the people around him wasn't the greatest, I'll have to change that as it'll be important for my plans.

Putting a hand on Guy's shoulder, Alexander spoke. "It's alright Guy I know you're just trying to cheer me up…and I appreciate it truly…I do but now is not the time. We need to mourn first before anything.

"Ok…" whispered Guy. Alexander saw the look of shock on Guy's face. Kakashi never showed any type of comprehension when it came to Guy's action so this must have been a shock for him, but I'm not Kakashi and the level of insight I have on the people living in this world is damn near a superpower I'll use it to gain and further every relationship I possible can.

"Well c'mon don't just stand there Guy cmon. Alexander, out of reflex, turned around doing the famous Kakashi 'eye smile."

'Yes, Kakashi." Stammered Guy skipping over to Kakshi as the two walked chatting while walking toward the memorial stone. On the way, the two bought a set of white flowers from the Yamanaka shop.

Once arriving at the funeral the two were escorted towards the front of the crowd. The casket of the Minato Namikaze, The 4th Hokage Of Konoha was lowered and the shovels came out as dirt began to fill the dug-up hole.

Alexander knew from Kakashi's memories of losing Sakumo that in the cases of very important shinobi, their bodies weren't actually in the casket to prevent grave robbing and their bodies being used for forbidden jutsus such as Rain Animation. Kakashi looked at the photo right next to the tombstone, the photo of Minato, and placed down the flowers he bought alongside Guy.

Looking at the picture the emotions deep inside of Alexander and of Kakashi flared up and tears streamed down the face of Alexander once more. Alexander tried his best to wipe the tears, but they continued flowing.

Hearing a grunt beside him Alexander turned his head looking at Guy. His face looked serious and solemn like he'd never seen before.

"Ka-Kashi, one day, I want to be a hero like lord 4th.

The waterworks on Alexander's eye stopped flowing as he gave one last wipe.

"What happened yesterday was a mistake, Guy, Minato-sensei was never supposed to die."

Alexander's eyes narrowed, listening and calculating the implications of Guy's words, he quickly skimmed through Kakashi's memories trying to gain the information he wanted.

"Yeah I know." muttered Guy.

Finally finding the memories it all clicked together for Alexander as he found the most probable reason for Guy's personality switch up.

"You listen to me Guy, and you listen well you can still be a hero like Minato-sensei and your father without dying."

"There'll be no need for a sacrifice if I'm there…I'll become stronger enough that no enemy of Konoha will dare attack this village again…you won't have to restore to an 8th gate with me there, that I promise.

The words coming out of Alexander's mouth were true, at least this part of him that Kakashi felt was true. Alexander just wanted to cheer Guy up and gain a new level of friendship and trust with him.

"Ka-Kashi, you-" Guy stared back at Kakashi, his lips quivering and eyes watering.

But before Might Guy could tackle Alexander to the ground in a youthful hug, the sound of someone clearing their throat came from behind the two boys. Turning around the two boys saw an old man wearing a large ronin style white and red hat. On the front of the hat read a kanji meaning fire. The old man also wore a white and red robe with a white sash and peaking outside the hat was a golden pipe smoke blowing from the top.

"That smoking pipe, robe, and hat…It's Hiruzen Sarutobi…The 3rd Hokage of Konoha." Thought Alexander.

'Lord 3rd." Exclaimed both Guy and Alexander as they took a bow. The crowd was in awe of the 3rd Hokage's appearance. The sobbing slowed to a minimum and the people congregated around the Hokage like moths to a flame.

Getting up from his bow, Kakashi examined Hiruzen's aura, and using a skill from Kakashi's memories he spread his chakra around the area, and what he found was frightening. The amount of power oozing from the man was massive. The chakra surrounding them made an aura of power and it made everyone around him including Alexander himself look and feel insignificant.

"He's this fucking strong." Alexander sweated.

Hiruzen was a very complex character whether from his memories in the real world watching the anime or the memories of Kakashi in-verse. Alexander in particular didn't like Hiruzen very much; his negligence of Naruto, weakness towards Orochimaru, the Hyuga Incident, and the Uchiha Massacre made him seem like a weak and foolish leader. But the power he exuded now was the complete opposite of the image he had of him. If even at this age he is this powerful I can't even imagine this guy in his prime.

"Kakashi!!!" a hand placed itself on Alexander's shoulders and shook him. Alexander looked at the hand and to the owner of the hand to see Hiruzen Sarutobi, a worried expression on his old face.

"Yes 3rd?" Alexander stammered.

"Do you feel well Kakashi…you were spacing out there and you do look a little tired." Asked Hiruzen.

"Well-" Kakashi was about to answer when Guy stepped on it.

"Yes lord 3rd, Kakashi didn't get much sleep last night, lord 4th's passing as hit him very hard you see-"

"I understand…is there anything you need young Kakashi?" asked Hiruzen.

Alexander quickly calculated the best way he could benefit from this situation, narrowing it down Alexander opened his mouth and spoke.

"Well…yes actually lord Hiruzen, I haven't done the best in terms of health lately and before I return from my duties in Anbu I'd like a 3-day break…Sir." Alexander held his breath, not expecting much.

"You've been through a lot in your young life Kakashi, especially lately you can have a whole week off before you officially have to respond back to your Anbu duties."

"A whole week?" Thought Alexander, 'That's unheard of, especially now with the state of the village being as desperate as it is…he must have some other motive."

"Thank you, sir," Kakashi replied.

Hiruzen walked off and walked onto the stage already set for him at the funeral and began speaking. Looking around at all the eyes from the crowd looking at him Alexander realized why Hirzuen did what he did. 'It's a power play,' snorted Kakashi. He's just been elected as the 3rd Hokage again he needs to showcase his leadership to the public and what better than being kind to the known prodigy of the leaf, who's distraught after the death of his sensei?

"Fair enough...Hiruzen Sarutobi."

The funeral lasted for one day, and in the evening, Alexander said his goodbyes to Guy and dragged his tired body to the Hatake compound. Kakashi had moved out of the compound as soon as he became Jonin. The Hokage held the Hatake's clan treasury as Kakashi was too young to be trusted when Sakumo died. The Hatake Compound was also not destroyed because the Konoha higher-ups expected Kakashi to restart the Hatake bloodline at one point.

"Here's where my journey begins."

In the treasure room of the Hatake compound, Alexander was ruffling through scrolls trying to find the right one.

"There's only one thing in the Naruto world to my knowledge that can fix my issue with the Sharigan's excessive consumption of my chakra and that's a powerful seal."

"I don't know why Kakashi didn't think of this during the entirety of the show's run or even once he obtained the eye in the first place and realized its downsides."

From his memories, Kakashi most likely thought he would have to have to remove the eye to fix the issue and there was no way in hell he was going to do such a thing as the eye was a representation of Obito's will and removing it would not only hamper his abilities and leave his Chidori technique useless, put the Sharingan eye in danger, decrease his already sour relationship with the Uchiha's but also make Obito's 'sacrifice' meaningless. But a seal is the best option at least for right now, I'll try and find a way to deactivate the eye later on.

Alexander remembered several sealing scrolls from Kushina that the original Kakashi had thrown in the Hatake treasure room as he had no interest in fuinjutsu. After a minute of fishing Alexander finally found them.

"GOT IT." Screamed Kakashi, grabbing all 4 of the scrolls.

The 4 scrolls were each slightly different in design but had one congruent similarity each had kanji in the front of the scroll. The 1st scroll was silver with a white bowtie that read 'beginner' in the front, The second scroll was white with a black bowtie in the front it read 'Intermediate.' The third scroll was a golden yellow color with a purple bow in the front and it read 'Master' in the front. The final scroll was purple with a golden bowtie, on the front it read 'God.'

"Wow," whistled Alexander. "this is something even I didn't expect to find, you're telling me Kakashi had all of this in his grasp and never learned it."

"Well, good thing I'm not Kakashi I'll be using these to their full extent." Alexander laughed.

Alexander looked around, "I also can't practice any jutsu above D-rank in my apartment and all fuinjutsu is classified as C-ranked so I'll be using this compound and the area around it as a training ground…hell, I might even move back here..it's on the outskirts of the village I won't be disturbed at all here."

Grabbing the fuinjutsu scrolls he placed them into the pockets inside his shirt and began to clean up. As Alexander was placing back he spotted another scroll deep in the corner of the treasury. He placed all the scrolls in his back pocket and picked up the new scroll. The scroll read in Kanji "Hatake secret techniques."

Alexander opened the scroll only for the scroll to be blank. Stunned, Alexander opened and closed the scroll multiple times but nothing changed.

"Hmm…this is something different." Thought Alexander.

"There are 2 options here. One this scroll was never written and I'm a dumbass. Two there's some sort of secret code activation or set of requirements I need to reach to view it, kind of like the Uchiha stone tablet…either way better safe than sorry." Alexander placed the scroll in his pocket and exited the building.

"It's cold and all ready at night time I need to get back home-" Alexander felt something above him move suddenly. He quickly spread his chakra around using his chakra-sensing technique. But nothing came within his radar.

"Maybe I'm getting too paranoid," said Alexander but in his heart, he knew something or someone was watching him. Who was it? He didn't have the faintest idea. Not wasting any time, Kakashi made his way back to his apartment.

The 'thing' watching Kakashi swirled into a familiar officer. That 'thing' was actually an Anbu agent ordered to watch Kakashi Hatake by the orders of the newly Appointed Third Hokage.

"Lord 3rd sir, I come with information on agent Kakashi Hatake."

Behind the Hokage desk sat an old man, smoking pipe in hand and wearing the clothing of the most important man in the village.

"What did you find?" asked the man blowing a cloud of smoke.

"Kakashi Hatake seemed to be doing well, with no signs of being a flight risk or depression of any kind. He actually looks determined more than anything…sir."

"Determined?' Hiruzen Sarutobi's eyebrows raised.

"I was expecting the worst after Minato's death but this…this is something I can work with." The 3rd Hokage stood up and walked to the window overlooking the village.

"I really hope you turn out the way I hoped for Kakashi, I have plans for you."

"Curse Minato for putting me in this position." SIghed the old man

"I'll keep this village safe enough and nurture you, until it's time for you to take this hat of mine…Kakashi Hatake."
