Chapter 42 - Time god part-2

As Akhil stood in his newly anointed position as the Time God, a soft glow filled the space next to him. A figure materialized—radiant and graceful, with shimmering wings gently fluttering at her back. Her presence was calming yet authoritative, exuding a quiet strength. Akhil turned toward her, eyes narrowing slightly in curiosity.

"Who are you?" he asked, his voice steady but laced with curiosity. He could feel the aura of something powerful surrounding her, but it wasn't threatening—if anything, it was protective.

The woman bowed her head slightly, her voice gentle and respectful. "I am an angel, my lord, sent to guide you in your duties as the Time God." She lifted her head, meeting his gaze with clear, calm eyes. "My name is Bel."

"Bel, huh?" Akhil mused for a moment, taking in her words. The weight of his new role still settled on his shoulders. "I need to visit my friends first," he said, his mind flashing to Yohan, Kofi, and the others who were still in the midst of their battles. He couldn't just leave them behind.

But Bel's expression softened into one of patient understanding, though her stance remained firm. "I'm afraid that's not possible right now, my lord," she replied. "You have many responsibilities as the Time God. Time itself needs to be stabilized, and there is much work to be done. Please," she gestured to a nearby door that hadn't been there a moment ago, glowing faintly with the same ethereal light that surrounded her, "enter this room to begin."

Akhil frowned, his heart torn between his newfound duties and the friends who had fought beside him. "Once I finish my work, can I see them?" he asked, his tone softer now, a hint of longing breaking through his otherwise stoic demeanor.

Bel paused for a moment, considering his request. She then nodded gently. "Yes, my lord. Once your duties are fulfilled, you may visit your friends. But for now, your role as Time God is paramount."

Akhil sighed but relented, knowing deep down that his responsibilities were far greater than his personal desires now. "Alright, Bel," he said, stepping toward the door. "Let's get started."

In a vast and ethereal space where time and reality seemed to blur, the Heaven God and Hell God stood facing each other, their cosmic forms towering over the realms they governed. The Heaven God's form radiated a calming light, while the Hell God's figure was engulfed in shadows and flames, both exuding a sense of immense power.

The Heaven God's expression was thoughtful, eyes glimmering with concern. "The new Time God is far more powerful than I anticipated," he said, his voice echoing with authority.

The Hell God scoffed slightly, dismissing the comment with a wave of his hand. "He is just a human, sir," he said, his voice gravelly and deep. "There's no need to be overly concerned. Leave him to his duties."

The Heaven God shook his head slowly, his gaze turning distant as if peering through the fabric of existence itself. "Akhil possesses a power that could reshape the balance of the universe. His potential… it's unlike anything we've seen in millennia. The man who wielded the Trinity power—he perished 10,000 years ago. Since then, no god has held such overwhelming strength. Until now."

The Hell God raised an eyebrow, his fiery eyes flickering with a hint of surprise. "You truly believe he is a threat? He was mortal, after all."

The Heaven God nodded, his tone unwavering. "Akhil's mortal past is irrelevant now. The power he commands as the Time God... It is not just the ability to manipulate time but also the potential to destroy or rule the entire universe if he so chooses. This kind of power demands vigilance."

The Hell God paused, considering the Heaven God's words more carefully. He crossed his arms, his fiery aura dimming slightly as he spoke. "You're worried about a sudden attack, aren't you?"

The Heaven God's eyes flashed. "Precisely. We have no idea what threats may come from beyond the universe. And if one does, we need a god powerful enough to counter it. Akhil may be that god."

The Hell God grinned, a dark, ominous smirk stretching across his face. "Then let us hope he stays on the side of order and doesn't fall into chaos. But you're right, sir—your wisdom is unmatched. Perhaps… we should prepare for whatever may come, and ensure Akhil's loyalty remains with us."

The Heaven God nodded solemnly. "Indeed. We must guide him carefully. The balance of the universe depends on it."
