October 8, 2023. Mid Autumn
Kei Takahashi, his parent's died in a fire accident when he was five.
He has a little brother who's name is Reo Takahashi, he's 3 years younger than Kei. their grandma of their mother's side took them in after their parents had passed away.
They have some burn marks in their bodies. Kei has one mark on his left shoulder till his back and chest. Reo has a burn mark from his neck's right area to his right shoulder. (Injuries look good in fiction)
Their hair is dark blueish black, Eyes grey. presently, Kei is 18 and Reo is 15.
Kei decided to move out to study in a better high school and lift up a weight off of his grandma's shoulders, she needs to rest more than exhaust herself by taking care of them.
He searched for a better place with a good school and apparently found one.
Their grandma requested for them not to leave because in her eyes they were still kids, and yea they are indeed still kids. But Kei insisted on leaving because he did not want to pressure her.
And so on they arrived in the area. The place is city-like but it also didn't have many people. It was quiet and very peaceful.although it is really beautiful compared to other places it also has a weird and abnormal vibe.The people around this place are indeed very nice and kind, but still it seemed off.
Not the people, just the place itself, however there were also very unusual rumors about this place, especially the school and mirrors, saying that something not so natural is happening around here but Kei didn't really care about it, like who would care if the place is beautiful, the apartment is cheap and it has good schools with appropriate education? we're Asians lol.
The truck driver left Kei's moving stuff such as clothes, some fermented foods as side dish, computers beside his apartment's door.
He and Reo went to talk with the janitor to take their key and sign some papers.
Unlocking the door, a cold wind went by them and Reo felt goosebumps,
"What was that?-..." Though as soon as the door opened his eyes lit up. "Woahh, this place is huge.. it's really neat and the furniture is nice too!" He said in a excited voice, untied his shoes and walked around the apartment.
"You should thank my amazing detective skills for being able to find such a good house in a small period of time" He said in a proud voice and lifted up one of the card board boxes that had kei's and reo's clothes.
"Reo, don't slack off, help me get the computers to the other room." Kei said as he pointed at the boxes that had their computer parts.
"Finee.." he took one box and asked Kei "should i set it up aswell?''
The house was quite spacious, it had two bedrooms one kitchen, one dining room, a living room and three bathrooms, two in the bedrooms and one beside the dining room.
"Yeah sure set one up in my room and the other one in your room. Oh also you can choose which room u want to have" Kei said and smiled which made Reo happy because he will have his own room and he gets to choose it.
"Thanks Aniki!" he says with a grin.
(Aniki: a term used by Japanese younger brother/sister to address their older brother or a big-brother figure.)
Reo then walked to see the bedrooms and he chose one and kei chose the other one. they fixed up their things and kei cooked some katsudon.
(Katsudon is a Japanese pork cutlet rice bowl made with tonkatsu, eggs, and sautéed onions simmered in a sweet and savory sauce.)
"Reo come eat dinner!" Reo walked out of his room and sat down in the dinning room's chair.
"thank you." Reo said and Kei handed him a bowl of Katsudon.
"We'll go to school tomorrow. Tomorrow's Monday and be sure to get prepared, don't be nervous" Kei said while eating
"You're one to talk, you're the one who gets more panicked about everything. especially around people" he said jokingly.
"shut up, let me stay as a caring older brother before i break your nose-" Kei said with a smiling face but pissed tone.
"I'm literally so scared that I'm trembling" he said in a dramatic voice and continued eating
"you little...we have school tomorrow." tomorrow is Monday and they will go to a new school.
Kei has already finished the transferring works online so that they'll be go to school as soon as possible and there won't be problems later on.
Kei hated dealing with things that could've been solved way earlier.
"Normane Valley Middle School And High School" was their new school's name.
Kei had transferred to another school and area with Reo because the teaching system where his grandma lives isn't good at all. it almost felt useless to study there.
Well that was in kei's point of view, and it indeed was true.
Most villages don't have that good of a study system and most importantly it isn't Modern-ish.
Something every teen wants but who knows this little moving out might put on a crazy memory in his life, alright the author is spoiling and taking up too much screen time, Sorryyy ^^; .
"oh, right- let's do our best, Aniki." He said and finished eating and stood up and walked to the kitchen to wash the bowl.
"Exactly, we gotta study our asses off" Kei said and walked towards the kitchen too.
Reo was washing the dishes and Kei called out from behind "school starts at around 9am, it's 10pm right now. so go sleep" Reo looked at him and saw Kei waving his wrist towards Reo as if he's shooing a fly away.
"shut up, atleast let me wash the dishes when you're the one who cooks" (R)
"respect me you rascal.." (K)
The Next Day.
October 9th, 2023
They have already went to school. Reo and Kei's school was in different building because of middle school and high school differences.
''Students." The teacher, Ryunosuke Baji entered the classroom.
The class captain stood up, and so did the others as they bowed their head and said "good morning sir."
"mhm, we have a new transferred student." he said, mr. Baji had black messy hair and he had eye bags,
clearly tired of the senior teacher's nagging and bullshit but he was kind compared to other teachers.
Kei entered the classroom and stood beside Mr. Baji "introduce yourself"
Kei turned towards the students
''I'm kei Takahashi, i hope i cause no inconvenience" he said and slightly bowed his head.
"mhm, go sit next to..." the teacher spoke as his eyes wander around the classroom trying to spot a seat for the new guy, and boom a student with blonde hair was napping in the back seat.
He stared at him for 5 seconds from afar and opened his mouth "Haruo Kosuke!! wake up!" As mr.baji yelled out loudly the blonde haired boy flinched and removed his head from the desk.
"yes sir?..." his eyes were a greenish tone but looked mostly black. "go sit next to the blonde boy over there" Mr.baji pointed at Kosuke. Kei nodded and walked over to Kosuke's desk and sat down on the desk beside Kosuke's.
"okay okay, now lets start the lesson" Mr.baji haid and started teaching the class.
Kosuke looked and Kei and moved his hand forward and smiled, "Takahashi-kun, I'm haruo Kosuke. nice to meet you" He grinned and Kei shook his hand "nice to meet you too." Kei said with a slight smile.
And then they began to focus on the lesson.
Soon it was lunch time and kei went to the rest-room.
He washed his face but as he looked in the mirror,
His eyes widen.
There, behind him around the toilets, stood a figure, unable to see if it was a male or female.
That person's face was completely fucked up and melted as if someone had poured something acid like or something melted like wax or hot water on that person's face and body.
Completely melted.. After seeing that thing for 1 second through the mirror he noticed that it was probably a girl.
He fell silent and just stared at the person who stood there beside the washroom's door with out moving a limb.
her skin that was melted to the flesh looked rotten, her eyes..looked like she was staring at kei through the mirror..
the washroom beside her was half-way open. it was filled with blood..
kei's eyes widen at the shitty scene he was seeing..the person he was seeing looked sad no matter how messed up, melted her face was.
kei blinked and..
there was nothing in the mirror. *it...vanished?..* he thought to himself and turned around to check.
no... the toilet which was half-way opened..
it was completely clean as if there was no trace of blood although kei himself saw that same toilet filled with blood..
kei hurried and walked over to that washroom and yanked the door open..
"wh-what?..it's completely clean...?" he whispered and thought as if he was going crazy.
he stood infront of the toilet's door and whispered to himself, "..it was probably a hallucination..shit calm down.." he said and took a few deep breaths. his hands were trembling, that girl looked horrifying..
but then someone touched his shoulder and,
"AAAAAAAAAAHH-"
Kei screamed and flinched however the person who touched him also screamed.
"AAAH- WATHAFAK-"
And took three steps back from kei and touched his chest. his heart was beating like crazy from the scream kei just did.
Kei turned around only to see kosuke holding his heart "man what the hell was that?- why did u scream like that??" he asked in a concerned voice but still scared.
"oh..it's just you.." kei sighed in relief. "i saw something.. weird.."
Kosuke understood what he said completely.
"Oh, did u see her?" he said and smiled "you probably heard of the weird rumors right?''
Kei nodded but he was surprised how Kosuke understood so easily
"there's a story...you might or might not want to hear...''
