Albert placed his cup down and frowned.
He deeply contemplated what his wife had told him, then finally said, "Won't this bring karma to us?"
Emma scoffed disdainfully at him. "What are you afraid of? The nanny's been dead for over a decade!"
"But—"
"Surely, you're not scared because you think she'll haunt us?" she shot him a look. "Albert, dear, you're a grown man. You should already know that ghosts don't exist!"
Albert didn't want to admit it, but paranormal activities scared him. Besides, he hadn't yet tossed all his morals away. And so, even after Emma tried to persuade him to agree with her plans, he adamantly refused.
He even scolded Emma for using the dead to interfere with the living.
After her husband stormed off like that, Emma felt her plan could work on Rosalie!
